[The next day]

Before Abigail woke up, her phone kept ringing.

She groped blindly for her phone on the table, pressed the answer button of the phone, and put it on

her ear.

"Hello..." Her voice was still sleepy.

However, when Abigail heard the voice on the line, her eyes widened and she got up, "Okay, I see. I'll

be right there!"

After hanging up the phone, she sat on the bed and came out of the trance. Then she leaped out of

bed, looked for clothes, and washed up.

She had been very busy these days and very tired, hence she had a deep sleep last night.

After washing up, she went straight out.

When she got into the car, she remembered that she should call the company to ask for leave.

But she tried to maintain normalcy and called to ask for leave.

Just as she hung up, her phone rang again.

Seeing that it was Liam's number, she smiled and answered it.

"Miss Swift, the HR manager told me that you asked for leave today and didn't come to work. What's

going on?" Liam said over the phone.

She smiled, "I'm sorry, Mr. Jones. I've got some personal affairs to deal with, so I'm taking a day off!"

"Just one day?"

"Can it be two days?!"

"No!"

She giggled.

He changed his tune on the phone, "What's wrong with you? Why did you suddenly ask for leave?"

"I just got a call. David is willing to cooperate, so I need to go there at once!" She said.

Hearing that, he frowned, "I'll go with you!"

"No. There are so many businesses in the company at present. I'm sorry to ask for leave. The company

will be in a mess if you go out now!" She said.

"But I'm worried that you go there alone!"

"Don't worry, I'm fine. If it is not safe in the detention center, not to mention anywhere else!" She said.

Hearing that, he said, "Well, then be careful. Call me if you need my help!"

the investigation!" Mr. Lee said.
