Hint of Darkness and Light

Verena’s POV

“The only way to kill me is when I’m beheaded.” He growled.

“How am I supposed to do that.”

“You won’t fucking like the process baby.”

“Stop calling me baby or kinzhe!” I demanded while panting.

His eyes turned red.

Then he struck. Two twin bursts of fiery pain lanced my neck, causing my entire body to jerk. The burn traveled all the way through my body, stunning me in its intensity. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t even scream around the pain.

His arms around my waist was like dangling hard chains.

I shook, eyes peeled wide as my hands fell to his arm. My nails dug in. The burn, the deep, staggering pull against my throat as my blood flowed freely from me into him shorted out my entire system.

And then, within mere seconds of when he’d sunk his fangs into me, everything changed. The intense hurting became something else, something overwhelming in a wholly different way.

A new ache erupted inside me, heating my blood until it felt like every part of me was filling with molten lava. My wide eyes were unseeing as the heat filled my chest, my stomach, and pooled in the space between my thighs.

He groaned, his arm tightening around me, and I felt him, hard and thick against my rear.

Then he pulled away, without warning, he ripped his mouth from my neck. He let go, and I stumbled forward, nearly falling. Trembling with confusion and the desire still sparking inside of me, I turned to him.

He stood several feet from me, his chest rising and falling with rapid, short breaths. His eyes were wide. Red smeared his lips.

“Fuck you tastes good.”

He devoured me like a wild animal.

How the fuck did he does that. As I remember he is a jerk werewolf.

It’s suppose to be his long canines.

In the glimpse of my eyes. He is now standing before me.

Then our lips collided with each other.

I tasted my blood on his lips, on his tongue. I tasted him. I wasn’t sure exactly when I kissed him back. Was it after a few seconds, or had I been kissing him from the moment his mouth touched mine? I didn’t know. All I did know was that I was starved for him, right or wrong, I wanted him. That’s why I didn’t fight him when he brought me to the ground.

The contrast of the cold snow against my back and the heat of his body pressed to my front drew a gasp from me. I didn’t think he heard it as it was caught up in his hungry kisses.

He rocked against me as he slid his hand over my waist to my hip. We moved, straining and gasping. His teeth caught my bottom lip. A brief sting registered, and he shuddered, groaning as the metallic taste renewed.

“Please Damon.” A staggered moan escaped my throat.

Breaking the kiss, he lifted up enough to look down at me. “Please what kitten.”

One long, dragging kiss ensued, and then his mouth moved from mine to my chin and then lower, his lips and those sharp teeth gliding over my throat.

Multiple crunch of braches around the snow stopped us.

Damon hurriedly wiped my lips and

“Dammit,” he muttered.

He quickly helped me stand up. I felt my knees wobbles. But I know someone is near.

They could have saw me making out with their future alpha!

Damon hid me against his back, making sure his large hands are placed on my hips possessively.

“What the fuck do you want.” His voice boomed all over the place.

The intensity of his voice screams dominance and power.

“The alpha requested for your presence Damon.”

I tried to peek but Damon’s hands didn’t let me move even an inch. This jerk is so strong.

My hand fluttered to my throat, to the two tiny wounds that felt as if they’d already started to heal. A faint spike of pleasure pulsed through me. I jerked my hand away.

The memory of kissing came rushing back. My core heats up once again. I can feel my body on fire.

“Tell dad I’m busy.”

“He wanted to relay that he’s been asking you through mind link. But you seem pretty well occupied…” The man trailed.

“I am.”

“As the future alpha Damon you should know that the bond will strictly happen with your mate.” He warned.

Damon shakes his head.

“I’m pretty well informed Alex.”

“Alright then, we will looking forward for your attendance during the suffer.”

The footprints vanished as well as Damon’s hands on my hips.

He faced me, I looked directly on his chest. The stab wound is already healed and it didn’t leave a scar.

“I’m sorry.” I whispered and swallowed thickly.

“My body can heal itself ten times faster than any werewolves. It’s a thing from the lineage of alphas.” He explained, “And I fed from you that’s why.”

“Is the fangs really a thing for werewolves? I thought it belongs to vampires.”

“I’m a hybrid baby.”

My brows puckered.

“Hybrid of what?”

“Vampire and a werewolf.” His eyes darkened.

“Now that I fed from you, you are now linked with me.”

“Is that a fantasy thing tracker?”

He grin coyly, “Don’t leave ever again.”

“I might try again.”

His half grins showed again.

“Did Aneera motivated you to run away?”

I bit my upper lip, “Yes it did.”

“For the record you can refer as her. And don’t believe everything a pixie says. They played everyone’s mind. Literal pranksters.”

“But she said you killed her siblings!” I accused him.

“It’s part of her play. She doesn’t want any other beings in the house.”

“Seriously? I can’t believe I’m fooled by a small creature.”

“Just don’t attempt to make her mad. She throws off pixie dust that might knock you out for days if you’ll inhale it.”

“That’s kinda cool…” I trailed.

“How did you know I’m trying to escape?”

“I just know so.”

“How?”

“No more questions, I’m still thinking of your punishment.”

“Rude,” I rolled my eyes.

“We should go back home before you freeze in a solid ice.”

“It’s so weird, when I step a foot out of the house it started snowing.”

“The weather is based on my feelings.” He looked down, his eyes a wealth of secrets.

“How does it happen?”

“Maybe if you’re well behaved and chained in a cage I could tell you why.”

Is this man some sort of a god.

“We’ll get ready for an hour for the suffer. And your punishment is you will pretend to be my loving mate.”

“Hell no.”
