It was Maurice. He walked out with Brenda in his arms. Aleigha looked at them. Brenda was lowering her head in silence. Maurice, on the other hand, was gently smiling.

"I'm good."

Aleigha smiled faintly and took a few steps back, keeping him at arm's length.
