Chapter 3103
Layla chuckled. "Even I haven't had the pleasure of tasting the food you've cooked, Ivy, and here you are, cooking for someone else!" "If you want to taste my cooking, I'll make some for you when I get back!"
"I can't bear to have you cook for me! Cooking is hard work!"
Ivy countered, "I don't mind occasionally cooking! My cooking skills aren't great, so there wasn't a point to flaunt it in front of you guys."
"If Mom and Dad find out you're cooking for Lucas over there, they'll definitely get mad," Layla warned.
"Don't tell them, okay? I used to be his housekeeper when I was in Taronia. I don't find cooking and cleaning difficult," Ivy said.
"Alright! Since you don't find it difficult, go ahead and do whatever you want! After all, you will be back in a few days," Layla agreed.
"Got it! How are you feeling, Layla? Is the baby okay?" Ivy asked.
Layla laughed. "I'm doing fine, and the baby is doing great, too! Take good care of yourself out there, and remember not to reveal your identity. Safety is a concern over there, and I'm afraid Archer won't be able to protect you if your identity is exposed."
"I understand," Ivy reassured her.
After the call, Ivy began to prepare dinner.
Time flew by, and evening approached.
Having cooked three dishes and one soup, Ivy checked her phone for the time and mumbled to herself, "Why hasn't Lucas returned yet? He wouldn't be working overtime, would he?"
Since Ivy did not have Lucas' number, she could only wait at his house.
Archer called her, and she quickly answered, "Archer, I'm still at my boss's place. He didn't ask me to go to his company, so I'm at his apartment cooking for him. I have to wait for him to come back before I can leave."
Archer exclaimed, "Huh? Are you working as his housekeeper?"
"Not exactly, and don't tell my parents that. I just made him dinner," Ivy explained.
"Ivy, you're not someone who usually does housework! How can you cook for him? If your parents find out they be heartbroken!" Archer said worriedly.
"Just don't tell them, then," Ivy pleaded.
"Did Lucas save the world in his past life to deserve this? I envy that guy!" Archer remarked humorously.
"Well, if you come over, we can eat together. I made four dishes, and he can't finish them all by himself," Ivy said.
"How am I supposed to explain our relationship if I come over, though? Just send me your location, and I'll wait nearby," Archer replied.
"Okay."
At seven o'clock in the evening, Lucas returned home.
Seeing Ivy and the food on the table, he was momentarily stunned.
"Why are you just standing there? I finished cooking at five, yet you work till seven!" Ivy said.
"Have you been here the whole afternoon?"
"Yeah. Haven't you noticed that your
house is much cleaner? I moped the floor, wiped all the tables and cabinets, and washed the couéh cover. It's still drying, so don't sit on the couch tonight."
Lucas was utterly stunned.
"Why are you upset? Don't worry. I didn't got to

him.
"How much do I need to pay you, then?" Lucas asked.
"It's fine! It's been a long time since I did housework. I'm enjoying it."
