Chapter 3110
"Don't joke around! She's leaving soon," Lucas said.
Caspian chuckled. "Is she returning to her country?"
"Yeah," Lucas confirmed.
Caspian teased, "So, she just came here to have fun! Why did she decide to toy with you, though? Hahaha!"
"I still haven't figured that out," Lucas said.
"Is she hiding something?" Caspian asked.
Lucas sighed. "You've met her, too. She answers all of my questions, but her answers always leave me confused. It's like we come from different worlds."NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
For instance, she told him that she knew the Woods' servants, but Lucas, despite having lived with the Woods, was never particularly close to them, so he could not determine if Ivy was telling the truth.
"I don't think Ivy is lying. It might be you who is the problem. You've never truly cared about anything or anyone," said Caspian. "It's a pity, though, that such a beautiful lady is leaving. And I thought she must have felt something for you. Looks like she is just here to have fun."
Lucas did not want to listen to Caspian's musings. He stood up, deciding to return home for lunch.
Once back home, Lucas saw the three dishes and a soup on the dining table, but Ivy was nowhere to be seen.
Out of habit, Lucas picked up his phone, wanting to call her, only to realize they had not exchanged contact information. He walked to the dining room and had his meal, deciding that Ivy's cooking skills had slightly improved since yesterday. After lunch, Lucas remembered he had added Ivy as a friend on social media, so he sent her a message. [Have you left?] At that moment, Ivy was at the reception of the Woods Group, arranging a meeting with Sam.
The receptionist asked Ivy, "Miss, how should I address you?"
"Irene. You can tell Mr. Woods my name, and he should know why I'm here."
The receptionist nodded and called Sam's office.
"There's a woman named Irene looking for you. She's at the reception on the first floor," the receptionist said.
On the other end of the line, Sam was puzzled. "Irene? Didn't she die a long time ago?"
The receptionist was frightened and
looked at lvy, stammering, "N-no, that can't be right! This woman is alive and well. She is literally standing in front of me right now." en.swhovels.net

"I'll come downstairs and see what's going on," Sam said.
The receptionist hung up and said, "Miss, please wait a moment. Mr. Woods is coming down to see you."
Ivy nodded. "Thank you."
Soon, the elevator doors opened to reveal Sam, and Ivy immediately approached him.
Sam's eyes lit up when he saw Ivy, but he could not recall where he had seen her before. He studied her face and said in disbelief, "Are you Irene?"
"I am Irene's good friend, Ivy."
Sam smiled. "thought you were Irene. I was shocked. I was quite alarmed when you told the receptionist to tell me that you were Irene. The dead can't come back to life after all. You tricked me, huh? What do you want?"
"Mr. Woods, Irene once mentioned that you paid off her debt, and since I have money now, she wants me to repay you, and she wants me to reclaim her grandmother's bracelet."
"Did that happen?" Sam wondered. "I
guess so it's been so long so I don't
remember where that bracelet is. Her debt didn't cost me much either, so you don't have to repay me." en.swhovels.net
"Mr. Woods, how can you treat others' possession so carelessly?" Ivy asked.
"Can you blame me? Both Irene and her grandmother are dead, so why do you want the bracelet now? What is the point?"
