Howling Hearts

Chapter 32

Me and Lucian sat at the breakfast bar with some muesli and having our salted caramel coffee in front of us. While he was digging into his food, I was just picking at it with my spoon.

Wishing he was eating me out like he was eating his food. "You don't like muesli?" He asked before taking a sip of his coffee and looking at me waiting for me to reply.

"No it's not that" I said. My whole body was going into withdrawal from Lucian's touch and yearned for it, making me sexually frustrated and totally addicted to him. He giggled before he nudged my shoulder. "Don't worry, when we get started you're going to beg me to stop" My whole body went stiff and my core went wet from his words, and a shiver of pleasure went down my spine.

He smiled at my reaction before continuing with his food. When he spotted that I was still not eating, he took his spoon and scooped some of my muesli up.

He then held the spoon in front of my mouth and I decided I would make use of this opportunity. I first liked the bottom of the spoon and then took it into my mouth. When I withdrew from the spoon, I looked at him and wiped the corners of my mouth. "Not exactly what I'm craving." I said seductively, and I could see his bulge growing in his grey sweatpants. I then looked back up at him. "Not what your craving either. Let me help you" I said, getting off the chair and grabbing onto his waist band.

He groaned at the thought and grabbed my wrist. "Not yet, princess", he said with darkness flashing in his eyes. I still continued to tug and he pinned me to the wall with his hand, keeping my wrist pinned to the wall.

I bit my bottom lip and he groaned once again. A sound that was music to my ears. "I've got a meeting to attend, princess. I'd love to rock your world, but unfortunately I can't postpone the meeting"

I pouted at his words, but it was to no avail. After eating, Lucian went to get dressed. When I saw him in his brown suite I was getting hot all over again.

As much as I wanted to rip the clothes off his body, I knew he would stop me mid try. "I'll see you later princess. Be good for me?" he said with a flirtatious smile. I just nodded and he left.

I scavenged the fridge to find a tub of ice cream and sat down on the couch to wallow in the memories of last night. After staring at the view from Lucian's lounge over the California hills, I was so deep in thought that I didn't even see Layla. When she eventually ripped me back to reality with her waving her hand in front of my face. "What's up with you?"

"Nothing just thinking."

"Girl I've been your friend for years and you think you can just play me like that?" She said while sitting opposite me with her legs crossed and her judgement face on.

"You guys slept together."

"Not yet" I said disappointed.

"Oh so you want to but..."

"He said he doesn't want to rush" I said annoyed.

"Well you might've not gone all the way but you sure did go some way. You've got a bit of a glow. You know that sweaty f**ked glow." I blushed at her statement. And fell back into my deep thoughts

"Scarlet don't doubt his care for you. When you were on the brink of death he would come to me and find out what food you liked. And every time I came to visit, I walked in on him trying to wake you with the smell of the food. Kind of weird not going to lie, but sweet none the less" She said whilst taking a scoop of the ice cream I had on my lap. Her words made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. He did care about me and I knew that, but I just didn't know to what extent.

"Im sure he wants to f*ck your brains out but doesn't want to scare you. You know they always say Alphas are rough in bed." Just in Layla's way, she would be sweet and then ruin the moment. She always said reality is better than dreams.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Although she was quite hypocritical in that sense, since she was a dreamer herself. "Lets go shopping. It always helps me. You know what I always say"

"Shopping is the best therapist money can buy", we said in unison. She was a shopaholic and definitely one that needed help. Whenever I brought it up she would say shopping is her therapist and that there was no one better to help her.

We popped in and out of shops looking for the "new look" I had to have since I'll be Luna soon.

"Come on, there has to be something fit for a Luna here somewhere" She said under her breath. "Layla I really don't think I need a new look I think I look fine in what I am."

She grabbed me by my shoulders and looked me in the eyes with a stern and serious face.

"Scarlet I love you but, we can't have a.... Indie Luna showing up at ceremonies. Lunas are elegant and beautiful. We've got the beautiful now, we just need the elegant. From the point that Lucian marks you until the day of your death, eyes will always be on you. You have to look like you are ready for those eyes even when it kills you inside."

I wasn't entirely sure how to feel about her words. There was a warning, an insult, an explanation and a compliment, all with confidence wrapping it all up into a nice bow. "Thank you?"

Lucian:

I made my way to the meeting door and halted in my steps before opening the door. As much as I hated leaving her up there craving me. Especially to come to this meeting.

I put on my darkest and most stale frown and waltzed in. I saw him stand up from his chair to greet me, but I just glided past him ignoring his efforts. The room was carrying a tension so hard and strong it could cut through steel.

I sat down at the opposite end of the table to be as far from him as possible. "Hello Lucian" he said with a smug face,

"Hello Asher Stormclaw"
