Chapter 48

Third Person POV

Beatrice is very happy when Nathan slowly opens his eyes. She’s still nervous and worried for him. He loves Nathan very much and she will die if something bad happens to him.

“Honey, Are you okay?” She asked smiling sweetly. But she felt that something is off with Nathan. His looks seem a little bit weird.

“Honey, Beatrice. Please Go back to Germany. I’m sorry that I didn’t love you. I’m sorry that our baby died. I’m sorry that I hurt you. I’m sorry for all the heartache that I gave you. Be happy and start a new life in Germany.” Nathan said while his tears begin to fall.

“What are you saying? We will go back to Germany Honey. Both of us will! Don’t say it like that huh!” Beatrice is about to cry and caress Nathan’s face. His Honey was the love of his life. Why did she hurt him? Because of jealousy and hatred. She regrets it all but it’s too late. Her heart breaks into million pieces seeing Nathan’s breathing that is slowly fading away.

“A-Aaron. Give my regards to Nalzen. Tell her that I’m happy to meet her and become a part of her life. And I’m sorry that I cannot wait for her to wake up. Please take care of her.” Nathan whisper. He’s running out of breath and it’s difficult for him to speak but he tried his best to bid goodbye to his Dear Nalzen and Aaron.

Aaron is a man but he felt hurt and shake a little bit. He wanted to cry but he manage to control his feelings. He doesn’t want Nathan to see his tears. He needs to show a strong facial expression so that Nathan will feel at ease that Nalzen is safe and protected by him.

For a short time with Nathan. He must say that he’s a good man.

“Sure, No problem,” Aaron answered smiling. But that smile didn’t reach his eyes while seeing Nathan’s last breath.

Nathan slowly closes his eyes taking his last breath. His heart stop and he died smiling peacefully.

“Honey, No! Nathan wake up!” Beatrice shouted.

“You, What are you doing in there? Rescue and save him!” Beatrice grabs the nurse’s collar.

“I’m sorry Ma’am but he is already dead. All I can do is record his time of death.” He answered sadly.

“All of you are useless. Save him!” She slaps the hand of the girl Nurse.

“Stop it, Beatrice! He is already dead. Just look at the result of what you’ve done! Stop it because it’s useless. Nathan will never come back to life again!” Aaron shouted angrily.

And she stops pulling the girl nurse.

In her mind, Aaron’s voice echoes.

Nathan will never come back to life again!

Beatrice cry loudly. She didn’t cry with Nathan before as she don’t want other will call her soft-hearted. But today, she cannot control her emotions! All the tears that she kept inside her heart fall like a typhoon!

She cried none stop. She’s broken and devasted. She can’t live without Nathan. How can she live? How!

She hug Nathan and cried.

“Honey, I’m sorry! I’m sorry, Please come back huh. Open your eyes please.” She said sadly while tears are keep falling on her face.

The medical crew and the nurses cry as well. Seeing Beatrice’s depressed state. They can also feel her hurt and pain of her.

Aaron didn’t look at her. It’s her right to mourn for her Husband. He holds Nalzen tightly.

He can’t bear to lose her. No! He will die. He kisses her forehead and caresses her tangled hair. She sleeps peacefully but she looks pale. She is losing too much blood.

“Just a little time wifey. You will be taken care of.” He said.

The ambulance arrived at the nearest hospital but sadly said Nathan was announced Dead on Arrival. Nalzen is being treated and Aaron finally felt relaxed and at ease.

He processes Nathan’s documents and then calls his family. His father arrived with his family. They are all crying, about what happened.

Especially Nathan’s Father who pushed him in marrying Beatrice to save their company.

His face is full of regrets and sadness. If only he can turn back time. But he can’t! And it’s already happened. Nathan will never come back again. It’s a lesson for him that he will suffer for the rest of his life.

He wanted to hold Nathan’s funeral at their house but Beatrice didn’t like it. He will bring Nathan with her to Germany!

“No, you can’t bring him to your house. I will bring back Nathan to Germany.” Beatrice said.

“You can’t! We are his family.” Nathan’s Father shouted angrily.

“Family! I’am his family. I’am his wife and we are married. So, Don’t you dare!” Beatrice threatened him.

But Nathan’s Father is not afraid. He will never let Nathan away again to his family alone. Never!

“Should we reach it at the court? Why you’re doing this to me?” Beatrice asks angrily.

“Ask your insane mind! You killed my son! You are a killer!” His Father shouted enough for the people to notice them.

Beatrice look around. Seeing those judgemental looks from the people around. She can see their mouth saying.

She shouted and cry.

“No! I’m not a killer! You are all wrong. You and you! I will kill you, all of you! Who looks at me that way!”She shouted while her eyes open widely. She holds her head because it’s throbbing and aching. She can’t lose her consciousness! She will bring Nathan back to their home! To Germany.

“No! I didn’t kill him. He’s my husband!” She shouted again while holding her aching head.

The people were surprised at the way she acted. She looks like an insane crazy person.

“You are crazy! You need medication immediately.” Nathan’s father said laughing.

When a man arrived surprisingly.

“Yeah, she needs medication. So, please be nice to her.” He said while giving  Nathan’s Father a death glare.

“Why are you here Daddy?” Beatrice asked angrily.

She hates this man!

“To pick you up. It’s time to stop your nonsense game.” He answered seriously.

“Huh! Game? I’m not playing, Nathan is Dead and I will get him to come back to our home.” She answered angrily.

“You can’t my Dear. Nathan will stay with his family. You have no right at all.” He explained calmly.

And it rings a bell in Beatrice’s ear! The manipulative monster. Manipulate her life again! An evil man.

“What did you do?” She asks bitterly.

“You must be thankful that I granted your Obsession my dear daughter but I’m sorry to tell you that your wedding to Nathan is fake. He is not your husband. But I guess, I can grant you to mourn for him before we go home. What about that Mr. Madrigal? Can you allow my daughter to attend Nathan’s funeral?” He asked with authority.

And Nathan’s father knew that he cannot say no to this evil person in front of him. He is worst than Beatrice!

“No, Problem. As long as Nathan will stay in here. She can attend whenever she may like.” He answered.

“Then that’s settled. Let’s go, my daughter. You need to rest first.” He said then gesture his hand at his Bodyguards and take Beatrice away.

She wants to fight but it’s useless. Her father is more powerful than her and she hates it.

“Beatrice, what is happening in here?” Aaron arrives with coffee in his hand. He saw that Beatrice was dragged by two suspicious men.

Beatrice stops walking and looks at his Father angrily. Aaron followed her gaze and was shocked when he see Antonio.

“You are Beatrice’s Father? How are you?” He asked smiling.

And Beatrice’s face turns sour. She thought that she will be saved but she was not! She just shakes her head and walks with his father’s bodyguards.

“Oh, Mr. Aaron Montgomery? The famous International multi-billionaire! How are you, my friend?” He asks excitedly.

Aaron shakes his head and laughs.

“I’m fine and I’m asking how are you too?” He asks smiling.

“Oh, I’m not that fine.” He answered sighing.

Nathan’s Father interrupted their conversation.

“Mr. Montgomery, Thank you for taking good care of Nathan.” He said sincerely while offering his hand.

Aaron accepted it and they shake their hands.

“No problem, Mr. Madrigal. Nathan is a good man. He deserves it.” He answered.

“Thank you, I’ll go first. There’s so much work to do on the funeral.” He said smiling then walked away.

“Sure, I will visit there soon,” Aaron answered.

“Coffee my friend?” He offer the other coffee to Antonio and he accepted it.

“Thanks, Let’s sit down. I wanted to talk about something.” He said seriously.

“I didn’t think that you are Beatrice’s Father.” He said.

“I’am and I’m sorry for what she did. She is sick a long time ago. It’s some kind of a split personality thingy. And her mental health is not stable. When she met Nathan, her sickness becomes worst. But I still love her, So I let him Marry Nathan. They had a fake wedding and she didn’t know. But being with Nathan her sickness becomes worst. I didn’t even know that she followed him here! Good thing Nathan called but It’s too late. I’m really sad that he’s gone. And I’m sorry for your wife. But I thought Andrea is in South Carolina?” He asked curiously.

Aaron can’t answer quickly. He was taken aback. How come he forgot about Andrea?

“Yeah, she’s still there. It’s a personal story and I don’t want to talk about it if it’s okay.” Aaron answered furrowing his brows.

Andrea keeps on texting and calling him every day but all he did was avoid her. He didn’t like to talk to her anymore! He didn’t know why. But he knows deep inside his heart that he’s losing his interest in her because of her wifey. But she is his fiancee!

His mind and heart are confused right now. He will not think it again. He will decide later.

“Oh, sure! How’s your friend Arthur?” He asked to divert the topic.

Yeah, He also forgot Arthur! But he guesses that he’s having his vacation in Hawaii while enjoying his life with lots of girls. Lucky him!

“Oh, I’ve been busy lately but I heard that he’s in Hawaii. Enjoying his life.” Aaron answered laughing.

“That’s how it is. Can I ask a favor?” He said.

“Sure what is it?” Aaron asked too.

“Can you forgive my daughter? I want to bring her back to Germany. Please don’t sue her.” Antonio begs for his rebel daughter. He’s a monster but he loves his daughter so much.

“Oh, you’re a great father Antonio. Don’t worry I will not sue her but can you find the assassin? I had a bad feeling about him. I think he’s been using Beatrice. But I can’t explain why.” Aaron said. His instinct is telling him that there’s something off about that man.

Antonio sighed. He already captured the assassin.

“Don’t worry, I already captured him and he’s on the way back to Germany. He is Beatrice’s cousin. He always influences Beatrice’s mind with evilness. Don’t worry, I will make sure to punish him.”

Aaron takes a deep breath. At last, he is not worried anymore. But he didn’t know how to tell Nalzen the sad news.

“I better go, Antonio. See you at Nathan’s funeral.” Aaron says goodbye.

He left Nalzen in her private room. Maybe she’s already awake.

“Nice to meet you again Aaron.” Antonio shakes his hand.

Aaron felt nervous while walking toward Nalzen’s room. How can he tell her?
