Chapter 1000: Helping Luca Plead His Case?

Brandon briefly told Yanis about the situation, "I'm worried that Sandy might do something impulsive."

After hearing Brandon's words, Yanis was stunned. She didn't expect Luca to do such a thing.

"I understand. I'll go there in a moment," Yanis replied.

"Thanks, you've been a great help these past few days," Brandon said gratefully.

"You focus on your matters, and we'll handle things with Sandy," Yanis assured him.

Brandon apologized again to Yanis before ending the call.

After hanging up, Yanis got up from the bed, quickly freshened up, changed her clothes, and went

downstairs.

Sophia had prepared porridge and was about to call Yanis upstairs when she saw Yanis coming down

from upstairs. She paused for a moment and greeted, "Mrs. Lawrence, you're awake?"

Yanis nodded, "Sophia, I need to go out for a while. Let Zane know when he comes back."

"Yanis."

As Yanis spoke, the voice of the Old Mrs. Lawrence sounded.

Yanis turned to see both the Old Mrs. Lawrence and the Old Mr. Lawrence present and greeted them,

"Grandpa, Grandma."

"Zane said you weren't feeling well. Are you feeling better now?" the Old Mrs. Lawrence asked Yanis

gently.

Yanis nodded, "I'm much better now."

The Old Mrs. Lawrence looked at Yanis and asked, "I asked Zane if you had your monthly period this

month. Are you pregnant?"

Yanis was currently feeling quite confused, and she wasn't sure if she was pregnant or not.

So when the Old Mrs. Lawrence asked, Yanis couldn't be too sure and said, "It might be delayed

because I've been tired lately."

The Old Mrs. Lawrence didn't seem disappointed by Yanis's answer; she simply said softly, "It's not

urgent. These things take time."

With that, the Old Mrs. Lawrence paused and asked, "You said you needed to go out for something?"

Yanis nodded, "Sandy had some issues over there, so I'm going to check on her."

The Old Mrs. Lawrence also knew Sandy, so when she heard Yanis's explanation, she nodded, "Go

ahead."

Yanis then turned to greet the Old Mr. Lawrence before leaving.

Yanis drove directly to Stella's place.

When she parked the car, Yanis saw Meggie getting out of a nearby car.

When Meggie saw Yanis, she hesitated for a moment and then took the initiative to greet her, "Miss

Thompson."

Yanis looked at Meggie, "Are you here to see Stella?"

Meggie nodded, "I heard you and Mr. Lawrence went on a trip to Burumal. Why did you come back so

soon?"

Yanis replied, "We finished our business there and came back."

Meggie was about to say something when she noticed someone behind Yanis. Her expression

changed slightly, and she politely greeted, "Meggie."

Meggie wondered if Stella would tell Yanis about what Luca did, or if Sandy would tell her. However,

neither Stella nor Sandy mentioned anything about it.

After a brief silence, Meggie said softly, "Go upstairs."

Yanis nodded and turned to enter the house.

Meggie followed behind Yanis, wanting to say something but ultimately keeping silent. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Upstairs, Yanis rang the doorbell.

Sandy was the one who opened the door. When she saw Yanis standing there, she was visibly

surprised, "Yanis? Weren't you traveling with Mr. Lawrence in Burumal? Why did you come back so

soon?"

Yanis responded, "We finished everything over there, so we came back."

Sandy was about to speak when she saw someone standing behind Yanis. Her expression changed,

and she politely greeted Meggie, "Meggie."

Meggie nodded, "Where's your sister?"

Sandy replied in a low voice, "She's still in her room and hasn't come out."

Meggie said softly, "I'll go talk to her."

As Sandy had been calling out to Stella at the door since yesterday, and Stella had assured her that

she was fine and didn't need to worry. However, even with those words, how could Sandy not worry?

While Sandy wasn't worried about Stella doing anything rash, she was still concerned about her locking

herself in the room.

Meggie agreed, and as she was about to step inside, she noticed Yanis and turned to ask, "Do you

have a spare key?"

Sandy went to find the key and opened the door.

As the door opened, Sandy saw Stella lying on the floor.

"Sis!"

Sandy rushed in and helped Stella up from the ground.

Meggie and Yanis both stepped forward to assist Sandy in supporting Stella. Meggie immediately

called for an ambulance.

"Stella?" Meggie called softly, holding Stella up.

Despite their calls, Stella didn't respond.

The ambulance arrived quickly. Because of the limited number of people allowed inside, Yanis went

with the ambulance to the hospital first. Meggie drove Sandy to follow behind.

At the hospital, after a series of examinations, it was determined that there was nothing serious.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Stella might have fainted because of her emotional turmoil over the past couple of days combined with

not eating much.

"Sandy, sit down and rest for a while," Yanis said to Sandy, looking concerned.

Sandy's situation was different. After running around with everyone earlier, she now felt uncomfortable

when she finally had time to relax.
