Chapter 1012 - This is Also Your Home

Upon hearing the voice, Yanis glanced at Antonio standing beside the car and asked, "What's wrong?"

"This is also your home. Will you come back in the future?" Antonio stood by the car, looking at Yanis,

and asked softly.

Before, whenever Yanis was being ignored or neglected, she always consoled herself, saying that no

matter how Olivia treated her or how Martin treated her, this place would always be her home, her safe

haven.

But later, she gradually realized that this home had nothing to do with her.

She used to always hope that Martin and Olivia would spare her a glance, even just one glance would

make her happy.

But they never did, never cared about her, never considered her part of this home.

She was always the outsider.

So later on, she had no expectations for this home anymore.

Now, Antonio's question made Yanis feel a bit bewildered.

Seeing Yanis not speaking for a while, Antonio took a few steps forward towards the car and softly All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

called out, "Sis?"

Upon hearing Antonio's words, Yanis finally came back to her senses, met his gaze, and tried to find

the right words to say but couldn't.

It seemed that Antonio also recalled what happened before and stood awkwardly by the car, looking at

Yanis. He said softly, "Sis, I know what we did before was excessive and you suffered because of it.

We were wrong, and we don't expect you to completely forgive us and let go of the past, but... but we

still hope that you'll come home and visit sometimes, even if it's just occasionally."

Hearing Antonio's words, the words she wanted to say choked in her throat, and in the end, under

Antonio's gaze, Yanis nodded lightly and softly said, "Okay."

Seeing Yanis agree, a smile appeared on Antonio's face. "Then it's settled."

Yanis softly responded, "I'll be leaving now."

Antonio nodded towards Yanis and stepped back a few steps. "Drive carefully."

Yanis didn't say anything more, started the car, and drove away.

Antonio stood there, watching Yanis' car drive away before withdrawing his gaze and turning back to

enter the mansion.

Martin and Olivia were sitting on the living room sofa. When they saw Antonio coming in, they both

looked at him.

Antonio saw the two of them looking at him, hesitated for a moment, then went forward and sat down

on the sofa opposite them.

"Your sister left?" Olivia looked at Antonio and asked softly.

Antonio nodded. "Just now."

After responding, Antonio's gaze fell on a pair of gift boxes on the side, and then he looked at Chen

Shu and Martin, asking, "The Baxter family's gifts, are we not going to return them?"

After Antonio spoke, Martin took over the conversation. "Return them later."

Antonio followed up, "I've already apologized to my sister for what happened before, and she said she'll

come home occasionally."

Upon hearing Antonio's words, Olivia's face also showed a bit of a smile. "That's good."

Actually, at first, Olivia had a good attitude towards Yanis as well. However, after Antonio came into the

picture, all her care and attention was focused on Antonio, and she completely ignored Yanis.

After all, Antonio was her biological son.

After leaving the Thompson Mansion, Yanis drove aimlessly in the city for a while before finally heading

towards the store.

But as she was making a U-turn, a sudden dizziness overwhelmed her, causing her to lose control of

the steering wheel and swerve to the side.

Fortunately, it was just a brief moment, and Yanis quickly recovered.

The car behind her cursed a few words after pulling down the window and then drove past Yanis' car.

Yanis didn't dare to continue driving forward and pulled over to the side.

She sat in the car for quite some time, making sure everything was okay before restarting the car and

heading to the store.

Just as she arrived at the store, Yanis' phone rang.

It was Sandy calling.

Yanis glanced at the caller ID and answered the call, "Sandy?"

"Yanis, are you busy?" Sandy's voice came through the phone as soon as it connected.

Yanis responded, "Not busy, what's up?"

Sandy said softly, "My sister woke up, but she's not in a good mood, so I thought you could come and

see her."

Yanis didn't refuse. "I'll come now, it'll take about twenty minutes."

After Yanis finished speaking, she paused for a moment before asking, "Is it just you over there now?"

Sandy replied, "Yes, just me."

Yanis said softly, "I'll come now."

After hanging up the phone, Yanis had originally planned to go straight to the hospital. However, when

she saw Bonnie's figure, she still got out of the car and went inside.

"Yanis!"

As soon as Yanis entered, Linda called out to her.

Yanis responded.

Bonnie turned around when she heard Linda's voice and looked at Yanis. "Why are you here at this

hour? I thought you were resting at home today."

Yanis walked up to Bonnie and said softly, "Mila came to find me this morning."

As soon as Bonnie heard this, she raised her eyes and looked at Yanis. "What did Mila come to you

for? Is it about Ivan?"

Yanis sat down on a high stool and said, "No, she came for her, asking me to visit her."

Who she was referring to, Yanis didn't say, but Bonnie could guess.

Stopping her actions, Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked, "Did you go see Aunt Madison? How is she

doing?"

Yanis had no extra expressions on her face as she truthfully answered, "She doesn't look good.

They've hired a special caregiver at home to take care of her, so I don't think she has much time left."

Yanis said this with a calm tone and expression, as if it was just an insignificant matter.

Bonnie looked at Yanis for a few seconds before speaking, "Yanis, you really don't plan to... go and see

her more?"

"What's the point of seeing her?" Yanis got up to get a glass of water, then sat back down and said

softly, "I've made it clear to her. I think things are fine the way they are now - we're content, leaving

each other alone."

Bonnie looked at Yanis, wanting to say something, but the words stopped at her lips.

Because she had no right to persuade Yanis not to care, not to care about what Olivia and Martin did to

Yanis before.

After all, Yanis had a hard time before.

So when she wanted to say something to persuade Yanis, the words got stuck in her throat.

"Are you also trying to persuade me?" Yanis looked at Bonnie hesitating to speak and asked softly.

Bonnie didn't deny it. "But whatever you think is appropriate, just do it. You don't have to consider how

others feel."

Yanis acknowledged with a soft "Mmm." Then she paused for a moment before asking, "Did Uncle

Baxter also go to

the Thompson Mansion to find the Thompson family to persuade me?"

"Went to the Thompson Mansion too?" Bonnie was somewhat shocked to look at Yanis.
