Yanis parked her car in the parking space, and as soon as she got out, Zane called.

Glancing at the caller ID, Yanis answered the phone, "Zane?"

"Where are you?"

"On my way to the hospital. Are you done with work?"

"Almost. Aunt told me that Mila came to our place to look for you today?"

"Did you ask Aunt about it, or did she tell you?"

"I asked Aunt. I was just calling to check if you were at home." Zane replied softly.

Yanis told Zane the truth, "Yes, she came. She came on behalf of someone else. After that, I went to

the Thompson family. Uncle Baxter went to the Thompson family and wanted them to persuade me to

visit her, saying she doesn't have much time left, and asked me to see her."

"Did you go?"

"After Mila left in the morning, I went to see her."

Zane didn't ask further and changed the topic, "Are you staying at the hospital tonight?"

"I probably won't. I'm going back later. Sandy called and said Stella is awake but not in a good mood.

I'm going to see her."

"Shall I come to pick you up later?" Zane asked.

"I drove here myself, so I'll drive back on my own."

"I'll have Albi drop me off at the hospital, and I'll go home with you."

Since Zane said so, Yanis didn't object and softly agreed, "Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Yanis walked towards the elevator. When the doors opened, she saw a

familiar figure.

Yanis hesitated for a moment and changed her direction to walk over.

"Just got the results. Do you want it?" Reed's voice was soft, with a hint of trembling.

Whatever was said on the phone made Reed stop abruptly. "What do you mean?"

Yanis stood on the side, wondering if she should say something, but before she could speak, Reed's

voice rang out again, "Then forget it! I'll get rid of it now!"

Reed hung up the phone immediately.

After that, Reed turned around, and Yanis couldn't dodge in time, and they bumped into each other.

Reed looked surprised when she saw Yanis and paused for a few seconds before speaking, "Yanis?

What are you doing here? Are you feeling unwell?"

Yanis shook her head, "What are you doing here?"

Yanis didn't directly bring up what she heard on the phone.

Reed seemed uneasy, then said, "I'm not feeling well, so I came to get a check-up."

Yanis asked, "What did the doctor say?"

Reed replied calmly, "Nothing serious. Just need some rest."

Seeing Reed had no intention of talking further, Yanis didn't press and nodded. Then she looked at

Reed and said, "I came to see a friend. Do you want to go with me? We can have dinner together

later."

Since Reed came back from Viteto, they hadn't seen each other for a long time, except for the meal at

the small apartment.

Reed hesitated but eventually agreed. They went upstairs together to see Stella.

When Yanis went up, Sandy was sitting by the bed, speaking softly to Stella.

Upon hearing the sound, Sandy and Stella turned their heads to look.

"Yanis!" Sandy stood up and greeted Yanis.

Yanis approached the bed and asked Stella, "How do you feel?"

Stella's face was still a little pale, but she smiled at Yanis, "I'm feeling better."

Hearing Stella's response, Yanis didn't ask further, "Have you eaten?"

Sandy chimed in, "We just ordered takeout. Have you guys eaten?"

"We're going to eat together later. I didn't expect you guys to be so quick."

Yanis looked at Sandy and asked, "Did you just order, or has it been a while?"

"It's been a while. The delivery is almost here," Sandy said, glancing at her phone.

It was probably too late to cancel the order at this point.

"In that case, you guys eat. I'll take Reed out for a meal later," Yanis said.

Sandy nodded, "Sure. I'll stay here tonight, so you can go and rest."

Yanis looked at Stella, seeing her slightly improved condition, and nodded, "Alright."

After spending some time chatting with Stella in the hospital room and finishing their takeout, Yanis and

Reed left the ward.

"He said Reed is pregnant," Zane whispered.
