Chapter 105: If She Say I Love You, Will You Trust Her
"Yanis?"
When Yanis was distracted, Zane called her.
Hearing Zane's voice, Yanis gathered her wits. She looked at him. "You…do you consider me as…
as…?"
Even though the words had come to her lips, she still didn't ask him.
"What's it?"
Yanis was silent for a few seconds and turned her gaze. "Do you give Martin money for considering me
as a bitch?"
Such question made her a bit breathless.
Hearing her question, Zane frowned and said in a cold voice, "Yanis, what are you thinking about?"
"Didn't you tell Neve that yourself?" Yanis shouted at him.
After that, they both turned silent.
About a minute later.
Zane spoke first, "What did Neve tell you?"
Yanis didn't speak.
Zane stared at her and asked again, "What did Neve tell you?"
Yanis took a deep breath. "She said that you told her that I promised to marry you for your money, and
you gave Martin money all these years because you treat me as…"
Yanis didn't continue.
After she finished, Zane sneered, "Yanis, are you empty-headed?"
"I…"
"Well, do you believe everything she says? If she says I love you, will you believe her?"
The words blurted out made Yanis and Zane stunned at the same time.
The two stared at each other.
No one spoke.
The atmosphere changed from tense to a bit subtle.
Just then, the door was pushed open. Bonnie's voice sounded, "Yanis, I bring grandma…"
After seeing Zane who was sitting by the bed and looked at Yanis closely, Bonnie paused and then
finished her words, "Here."
That done, Bonnie took a step back, closed the door and then knocked on the door solemnly.
Zane turned his gaze and stood up.
"Please come in."
It was like that he was the master while Bonnie was the guest.
After hearing the response, Bonnie pushed open the door and repeated what she had just said, "Yanis,
I bring grandma here."
Yanis looked at Bonnie standing in the doorway and asked, "Where's grandma?"
Bonnie replied, "She's downstairs. I come up to see if you're asleep. If not, I'll help her up."
Yanis responded.
As Bonnie was ready to leave, she glanced at Zane standing by the bed and asked, "Didn't Mr.
Lawrence plan to leave?"
Zane glanced at Yanis lying on the bed. "Be clever in the future."
Yanis, "…"
Bonnie, "? ? ?"
Zane passed Bonnie and went downstairs first.
Bonnie stood at the door. She glanced at Zane's back and looked at Yanis lying on the bed. "Would you
be reconciled while I'm out to bring grandma here?"
"What are you thinking about? Do you think we're playing games of make-believe?" This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .
Bonnie laughed, "Well, you're both adults and wouldn't play such childish games."
That done, Bonnie walked out. "I'll help grandma up."
Downstairs.
After going downstairs, Zane looked at Catherine sitting on the couch and stepped forward, "Didn't you
ask me to take her back?"
Catherine looked at Zane after hearing his words, "Yanis said she was uncomfortable and didn't want
to get in the car, so I came over."
Speaking of this, Catherine paused, "I have something to ask Yanis, do you want to hear it?"
"What's it?"
Catherine was about to speak but she stopped when she saw Bonnie coming down the stairs. "You'll
know later."
"Grandma, let me help you up. Yanis is awake."
Catherine got up. "Wait for me in the car."
Catherine said to Zane.
Zane looked at Catherine.
"I want to talk to Yanis. Wait for me outside. Don't influence Bonnie's business."
Zane responded.
After Catherine went upstairs, Zane went outside.
As soon as he got into the car, the phone in his pocket rang.
When seeing the caller ID, Zane hesitated but answered the phone eventually.
When the call was connected, only footsteps could be heard.
After more than ten seconds, the voice form other side of the phone sounded, "Grandma, be careful."
It's Bonnie's voice.
Thinking of what Catherine said just now, Zane closed the car door and pressed the phone hands-free.
"Yanis."
"Grandma." Yanis wanted to get up, but Catherine shouted at her, "Lie down!"
Yanis lay back again. "Grandma, did you have dinner?"
Catherine nodded. "Yeah."
Bonnie helped Catherine sit down by the bed. "Grandma, you talk to Yanis. I'm going to my work. Just
call me if you need anything."
Catherine answered, "OK."
After Bonnie left, Yanis looked at Catherine, "What do you want to ask me?"
Catherine moved her body inconspicuously and said, "I just remembered that you were at the scene
when Zane had an accident, right?"
Listening to Catherine, Yanis was bit puzzled. She didn't expect Catherine to ask about it.
"Yanis?"
Yanis gathered her wits. She looked at Catherine and whispered, "Why did you suddenly ask about it?"
"Well, I just suddenly remembered that after Neve's accident, she seemed come back once. There
were not many people knowing about it, including Zane, his mother and me. Then you also knew it."
Outside in the car.
Zane frowned when he heard this. Neve went abroad for closed treatment after the accident. In his
memory, Neve had always been abroad and had never returned to Manches City.
The conversation from the phone came again.
"Grandma, it happened that I was here. I didn't expect to encounter something like that."
Catherine said, "If it weren't you at that time, Zane might have been deceived and even destroyed."
"Grandma, maybe something was uncertain. Maybe if I hadn't helped myself at that time, they might…"
"Nonsense!" Catherine interrupted Yanis, "If you hadn't shown up in time, the Lawrence family would
be in trouble now."
"But if I hadn't shown up, they wouldn't have been apart for so long."
Catherine snorted. "I would never let her into the Lawrence family even without you."
Listening to Catherine, Yanis didn't answered.
Because she didn't know what to say.
When Zane woke up, he thought it was her plot. It was her fraud. No matter how she explained it, he
didn't believe her.
"Yanis, some things have to be clear. The more you conceal, the more misunderstanding you'll have."
