Chapter 1117: My Wife, Yanis

Yanis looked at him, "When will Mitch and the others come?"

"In a while, probably around eleven. Allan had some matters to handle and will come with him," Zane

replied.

Yanis turned and headed towards the dining room. "Then you go change your clothes, I'll have NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

breakfast, and we can go together later."

Zane agreed and headed upstairs to shower and change.

Meanwhile, Yanis had breakfast in the dining room.

After finishing her meal and just as Yanis was about to get up, her phone, placed nearby, started

ringing.

Seeing the caller ID, Yanis answered the call, "Sandy?"

"Yanis, are you at home or did you go to the company with Mr. Lawrence?" Sandy's cheerful voice

came through the phone.

"At home. Have you returned to Manches City?" Yanis asked.

Sandy exclaimed, "I came back with my sister the day before yesterday. I was planning to visit you, but

I've been unusually sleepy these past two days. I finally feel a bit better today, so I'm thinking of coming

to see you."

Considering for a moment, Yanis replied softly, "Come to our place around noon. Reed is coming over

later too."

Sandy agreed, "Sure thing. Anything I should bring? I'll join you for lunch."

"Just bring yourself. Nothing else," Yanis responded.

Sandy chuckled, "Alright, see you later."

Yanis acknowledged with a hum before ending the call.

Once Zane was ready, they left together. Due to time constraints, Zane didn't go anywhere else but

directly to the flower shop.

After parking the car, Yanis gazed at the blossoms lining the path and asked as they walked, "Do you

know how to take care of flowers and plants?"

Yanis had known Zane for a while, but she had never seen him taking care of plants or flowers.

"Don't worry, I won't let them die," Zane replied.

Yanis gave him a sideways glance. His tone was confident, as if he was absolutely certain.

Yanis didn't push the topic but instead asked, "Did you secretly learn this skill?"

Zane cleared his throat, "Yeah, I did. Let's head in."

"These all look pretty. Shouldn't we take a look?" Yanis saw Zane heading straight in without sparing a

glance at the flower shop they passed.

"No need. Let's head inside," Zane said.

Yanis was puzzled but followed Zane deeper into the shop.

As they reached the innermost section, the shop owner approached Zane with a warm smile, "Zane, I

thought you'd come in the afternoon. Why are you here so early?"

Seeing the friendly interaction between Zane and the shop owner, Yanis could tell they knew each

other.

What shocked Yanis, however, was that Zane could have such a "down-to-earth" side.

In her presidential impression of him, Zane had always been distant, treating others besides Albi with

indifference.

But she never expected to witness this scene one day.

"Who's this?" The shop owner, after chatting with Zane, turned his attention to Yanis and asked softly.

Zane glanced at Yanis's face and introduced, "My wife, Yanis."

The shop owner smiled at Yanis, "So, you're Mrs. Lawrence. Nice to meet you."

Yanis nodded politely, "Hello."

"Zane, I've got the flowers you wanted ready. Should I have someone deliver them or will you take

them?" The shop owner turned back to Zane.

Zane didn't answer immediately, instead turning to Yanis. "Do you want to take another look? I've only

selected a few."

Yanis glanced at the variety of flowers inside and nodded, "Sure."

Only then did Zane turn to the shop owner, saying, "Let's take another look. We'll decide later."

The shop owner agreed, "Of course, please come inside."

While Yanis liked flowers, she had never taken care of them herself, fearing she might accidentally kill

them. So usually, she'd at most put flowers in a vase at home.

"What did you pick?" Yanis asked in a low voice, looking at the neatly arranged flowers.

When Zane had come to select them, he had chosen those he found attractive and easy to care for. As

for the specific species, he hadn't really studied them.

So when Yanis asked, Zane simply pointed to the ones he had picked. "These."

"Why do they all look similar?" Yanis suppressed a smile.

Zane coughed lightly, "Easier to care for."

Yanis managed not to laugh. "Did you ask the owner about their care?"

Zane nodded, "Yes, and I took notes."

With that, Zane took out his phone and showed it to Yanis.

Detailed notes on plant care were recorded in his phone's memo app.

After Yanis finished reading, she looked up at Zane. "When did you visit this place?"

Zane answered softly, "A couple of days ago. After work."

Handing Zane back his phone, Yanis inquired, "So, you've been coming here after work recently?"

Zane nodded, adding, "To learn."
