Chapter 968: Everything You Want Is On the Way

Sandy had been in the entertainment industry for many years, and she had encountered various social

situations. She could tell who treated her sincerely and who was just pretending. When Yanis spoke to

her earlier, she understood that Yanis was only looking out for her.

Sandy appreciated Yanis's concern, and she decided to share the incident with Anthony that Yanis

mentioned. After hearing the story, Sandy didn't outright refuse the idea of meeting him. "I'll go see him

once I've sorted things out on my end," she said.

Yanis nodded and advised, "If you do decide to meet him, let Mr. Hawkins know. It's best to be open

and honest in such situations. Even though you trust each other, some things are better said in person

to put each other's minds at ease."

"I understand," Sandy replied seriously. "I'll remember what you said today, Yanis."

Yanis couldn't help but smile at Sandy's serious expression. She shifted her gaze to Sandy's belly and

asked, "Have you gone for a follow-up check-up? How are things?"

Sandy gently placed her hand on her abdomen. "I haven't gone for a follow-up yet. Once I've dealt with

everything here, I'll go. I heard there's some paperwork involved; it sounds like a hassle."

"It's not that bad, especially with Brandon by your side," Yanis reassured her.

"But I can't expect him to accompany me every time I go to the hospital, right? That would be

troublesome for him," Sandy said softly.

"Your affairs are never a bother to me," came Brandon's voice from the door.

Both Sandy and Yanis looked towards the entrance, where Brandon had just entered. He walked up to

Sandy and handed her a cup of hot water. "Have some hot water and get some rest."

Sandy smiled at Brandon, taking the cup and sipping from it before returning it to him. "Weren't you

chatting with Mr. Lawrence just now? Why did you suddenly come up?"

"I wanted to discuss something with you," Brandon replied.

Yanis stood up, realizing it was time to leave. "You two talk. I'll let Aunt Stella know to prepare more

food for dinner."

Sandy looked at Yanis and said, "Yanis, let's invite my sister as well."

Yanis nodded in agreement. "Sure, I'll go pick up Bonnie, and we can all have dinner together."

Zane, who was still sitting on the living room sofa, overheard their conversation. "Isn't Ivan also in Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

Manches City? Why not invite him too?"

Yanis was taken aback. "You mean have Ivan come as well?"

"He calls me brother-in-law now. Shouldn't I be a bit friendlier to my little brother-in-law?" Zane said

with a smile.

Yanis couldn't help but laugh. "I'll ask later then."

Looking at the time, Yanis suggested, "It's getting late. I will go buy some groceries with the

housekeeper."

Zane offered to accompany her, but Yanis declined. "No need. You stay here with Mr. Hawkins; we'll be

fine."

Zane nodded in agreement. "Alright, have a good time."

As Yanis left the room, Zane remained in the living room with Brandon and Sandy, ready to discuss

whatever matter Brandon had in mind.

After Yanis greeted Zane and left with the housekeeper to buy groceries, Brandon came down from

upstairs. He asked Zane why he was alone, and Zane explained that Yanis went with the housekeeper

to prepare for the dinner with many people.

"Many people?" Brandon inquired.

"Don't be nervous; you already know them," Zane assured him.

Zane paused and then looked at Brandon, saying, "Besides, having more people around might boost

your confidence, right?"

Brandon chuckled softly, "Am I really showing that much nervousness? This time feels different from

the first time I met your family. It's a different feeling…"

Zane interrupted him with a pointed finger towards the door, saying, "Alright, alright, no need to tell me.

I probably won't understand that feeling."

Playfully retorting to Zane's previous comments, Brandon laughed, "You're right, I am nervous. This

time, it's not just about meeting her family; it's about a lifetime commitment. I have to be responsible for

her, our child, and our little family."

Zane quietly commented, "Your responsibility."

Brandon nodded, "I know. Right now, I'm both nervous and excited."

Zane offered Brandon a cigarette, but as Brandon reached out to take it, Zane pulled his hand back

and said, "Actually, you're not as good as me."

Brandon was puzzled, "In what way?"

Zane lit the cigarette and held it to his lips but didn't take a puff. He looked at Brandon and said

nonchalantly, "Pregnant women can't stand the smell of smoke. You can't smoke in front of her; you

should quit."

Brandon retorted, "But you just handed it to me. Isn't it polite to accept it?"

"I handed it to you, but you didn't have to accept it," Zane replied calmly.

Brandon looked at Zane, "I won't accept it; is that polite?"

Zane took a leisurely puff and said, "Being polite or being considerate of her, which one do you think is

more important?"

Brandon didn't hesitate, "Her."

Zane continued to smoke calmly without saying anything else.

Watching Zane's demeanor, Brandon couldn't help but think of Yanis, who had been pregnant before

but lost the child. He gently patted Zane's shoulder, saying, "What you want is on the way; it's just

arriving a little later. Don't worry."

Hearing this, Zane raised his eyes to look at Brandon and asked, "Do I look worried?"

Brandon met Zane's gaze and asked, word by word, "Aren't you worried?"
