Anika shook her head, her eyes fixed on Iris.

"Is something wrong with Anika? Not feeling well?" Rachel handed Anika a tissue and asked.

Anika shook her head in response to Rachel, "It's nothing, just accidentally knocked over something."

Sophia stepped forward and replaced the cup, wiping the table clean.

"Thanks, Sophia," Anika thanked her softly.

After Sophia left, Iris spoke with a voice only the two of them could hear, "What's wrong? Was I too

eager?"

Anika shook her head, "No, it's just that... Let's talk about it later."

Iris nodded, "Sure."

With that interruption, there were no other accidents during the rest of the dinner. After the meal, the

Old Mrs. Lawrence and the Old Mr. Lawrence retired to their rooms to rest.

After going through many things and changes, Rachel became more thoughtful. After dinner, she

helped Sophia tidy up.

Yanis and Zane chatted with Dylan for a while. After Rachel finished tidying up, she and Dylan left.

Now, only Zane, Yanis, Iris, and Anika were left at the Lawrence's Mansion.

Tonight, Anika wouldn't return to South Hospital.

"Let Sophia prepare a guest room for you. You can stay here tonight," Zane said, looking at Iris.

Iris nodded without refusing, "Okay."

"Sister-in-law, you can also stay here tonight," Yanis said to Zane.

"Do you have plans tomorrow?" Yanis asked Zane.

Zane replied, "Nothing important."

So, Yanis and Zane also decided to stay at the Lawrence's Mansion for the night.

Feeling a bit sleepy, Yanis went upstairs to her room after spending some time in the living room.

After Sophia finished tidying up, she also returned to her room.

Only Anika and Iris remained in the living room.

Without the presence of others, the two finally brought up the topic they discussed during dinner.

Anika looked at Iris, "Did you tell Grandpa and Uncle Dylan about our matter? What did you say?"

Iris replied truthfully, "I suggested finding a suitable time for both families to meet officially."

Upon hearing Iris's words, Anika was slightly taken aback. "Meet? You mean... meet each other's

families?"

Iris nodded, "What's wrong? If you think it's too rushed, I can wait. But Grandpa said he wants us to

discuss things and settle them as soon as possible, so you won't be wronged."

Hearing Iris's words, Anika couldn't help but feel moved. She loved Iris, wanted to marry her, and be

with her forever. These were all facts. But the words she said to the Old Mrs. Lawrence and Yanis were

also sincere.

Thinking about it, Anika looked at Iris and said softly, "What about your parents? Did you tell them

about my situation?"

Iris replied, "We don't have to worry about them. It's my life, and I make my own decisions. Whether

they agree or not, it doesn't matter to me. You don't have to think too much. The person I want to spend

the rest of my life with is you, not them."

Iris's words did make Anika feel relieved, but she still felt a bit unsure.

"I know what you're worried about, but don't worry. Grandpa will talk to them," Iris reassured Anika in a

low voice.

Anika looked into Iris's eyes and nodded softly, "Okay."

"It's getting late. Let's rest early," Iris said softly after glancing at the time.

Anika looked to the side and whispered, "Do you... want to stay with me?"

Upon hearing Anika's words, Iris's brow furrowed, "Stay... together?"

Anika said softly, "I'm worried I won't be able to sleep well tonight. Having you with me might make it

better."

Iris noticed that Anika had been relying on her more lately. So, Iris didn't refuse and replied softly,

"Alright."

Fortunately, Sophia had arranged Iris's room right next to Anika's.

"I didn't stay here before, so my family didn't have a room for me. My brother gave me his room later,

and the room next to it is his study, which he also gave to me," Anika explained softly as they reached

the door.

Iris listened to Anika's words and suddenly understood why Anika trusted Zane so much.

In the entire Lawrence family, only Zane had been a constant support for Anika.

If Zane hadn't been there, Anika might have disappeared by now.

Thinking about almost not meeting Anika, Iris felt a slight suffocation in her heart, a heartache so

intense that it made her feel impulsive.

So, after they entered the room, Iris took a step forward and hugged Anika, "Anika, from now on, you'll

have me by your side. I will always be there."

Upon hearing Iris's words, Anika's smile deepened, and she turned around, embracing Iris, "Will you

really always be there?"

Iris replied, "I will always be there."

In another room.

Yanis had initially planned to sleep after taking a shower, but her sleepiness disappeared after the

shower.

So, she held her phone and casually scrolled through it, chatting with Sandy for a while.

Sandy said she suddenly felt uncomfortable today and couldn't stand any smells. Even drinking a sip of

water made her nauseous for a long time. She asked Yanis if there was any way to ease it.

Yanis didn't have as severe a reaction as Sandy, so she wasn't sure how to help. Nonetheless, she

offered Sandy some advice.

Sandy replied with an expression that said, "I can't take it anymore."

Yanis sent Sandy a voice message, "Go to the hospital tomorrow and ask Dr. Watson to prescribe

some medication for morning sickness."

Sandy sighed, "I can't take it anymore. I feel like I won't be able to last for ten months. I'm completely

useless."

Yanis comforted her, "It will get better after these two or three months."

Sandy replied with an "okay" and said, "I can't take it anymore. I think I'll go for a walk. Yanis, you

should go to sleep."

Yanis agreed, "Okay, you should get some rest too."

After hanging up with Sandy, Zane came out of the bathroom, "Why are you awake?"

Yanis put her phone down and opened her arms to Zane.

Zane was taken aback for a moment but then stepped forward and hugged Yanis, asking, "What's

wrong?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to hug you," Yanis said.

Zane chuckled softly and hugged Yanis, "I haven't dried my hair yet."

Yanis reached up and rubbed Zane's head playfully, "It's fine, it's dry now."

Zane didn't say anything more, loosened his grip on Yanis's hand slightly, lowered his head, and gently

kissed her lips, "Feeling upset?"
