Chapter 992: Moving Forward

Antonio handed the first bowl to Yanis and then fetched the second bowl. He then thanked the owner

and looked at Yanis. "Try it. I used to love this dish."

Yanis nodded in agreement. "Okay."

The taste was indeed delicious, and since Yanis hadn't eaten much in the morning, she was feeling a

bit hungry now.

As they ate, both of them remained silent, understanding each other's thoughts without speaking. After

finishing their meal, Antonio paid the bill and turned to Yanis. "Let me take you home."

Yanis looked at Antonio. "You came to see me just to have a meal together?"

Antonio nodded. "I've always wanted to invite you."

"In that case, let me treat you to a meal when I come back from Burumal, alright?"

Antonio looked at her, somewhat surprised. "Really?"

Yanis confirmed, "I'll find you when I come back."

Certain things couldn't be forgotten no matter how much they were suppressed. However, life was

short, only a few decades long. It wasn't worth living by dwelling on past unhappiness. Yanis had

decided to let go of Antonio's past actions. After experiencing so much, some things were truly not

worth clinging to, as they would only make her unhappy.

Leaving the shop, Yanis and Antonio walked side by side towards the street. Antonio asked, "Have you

been staying at home all this time?"

Antonio had discussed with his father about using the money he had on hand to renovate his material

factory, which his father had agreed to. Antonio's grades had been good, but once he had taken the

wrong path, there was no turning back. So, he decided to accept his current situation and live a good

life.

Yanis had also realized that her stubbornness had no meaning. Even Olivia had come to understand

that her persistence was pointless. She had even encouraged Antonio to find Yanis.

Antonio confirmed his decision to repay the money. Yanis corrected him, "It's 180 million."

Antonio was taken aback. "They took that much?"

Yanis nodded. "Now, do you still want to repay it?"

Antonio hesitated for a moment and then nodded. "Yes."

Yanis stopped and looked at him. "Did they say something to you, or did someone else talk to you

about this?"

Antonio shook his head. "No, I just feel that I should repay the money I took."

Yanis smiled and continued walking. "You don't need to. Just focus on your work. Let's turn over a new

leaf and forget about the past. We don't need to mention it again."

"But... Aren't you going to let go of the grievances you've suffered over the years?"

Antonio's question made Yanis pause again. She looked directly into his eyes and said, "I did suffer a

lot, but I've overcome those grievances, and I'm doing well now. I don't want to keep reminiscing about

the past. In life, we should look forward, right? Why do we have to dwell on the past?"

Antonio looked at Yanis and after a moment, he nodded. "You're right. In life, we should move forward."

Yanis agreed. "Let's go."

Just as they reached the street corner, Zane arrived. Yanis waved at him and called out, "Zane, over

here."

Zane had already spotted Yanis and Antonio from the car. Hearing her voice, he quickened his pace

and reached them. He naturally pulled Yanis into his arms and whispered, "Done eating?"

Yanis nodded. "Did you eat? Do you want me to take you to the place we just ate?"

Zane replied, "No, I had breakfast later, so I'm not hungry now."

Zane then looked at Antonio, who stood to the side. "Antonio, I'm taking Yanis with me."

Antonio nodded. "Okay."

There was no need for Zane to say anything to Antonio, and their relationship had become better

mainly because of Yanis.

"You go back too. I'll find you when I come back," Yanis said softly to Antonio.

Antonio replied, "Alright, take care of yourself."

Yanis acknowledged and then turned to follow Zane as they got into the car together.

Antonio stood in place and watched them leave before walking toward his parked car.

In the car, Zane asked Yanis in a low voice, "What did he say?"

Yanis didn't hide anything and told him exactly what Antonio had said and how he apologized for his

past actions.

Zane's brow furrowed slightly upon hearing that. "Apologized?"

Yanis nodded. "He apologized for what he had done in the past." Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

After listening to Yanis, Zane fell silent for a moment and then nodded. "If he wants to repay the money,

it's up to you."

Yanis adjusted her posture and said, "I'll follow your lead."

Zane chuckled softly and held her closer. "Alright, I'll take care of it."

In truth, even if Antonio could afford to repay the money, Yanis didn't plan to take it. And Zane certainly

wouldn't accept it either.

The car quickly arrived at D-king Castle. Albi got out of the car and opened the door for them. Zane

stepped out first, then he extended his hand to Yanis. As he helped her out of the car, he told Albi, "You

come and pick us up later."

Albi replied, "Okay, I'll come an hour earlier."
