Chapter 618 Tenderness

Eudora listened to the words of the people around her and noticed their inquisitive gazes toward

Colbert. She wished she could find a place to hide right away.

This was truly embarrassing.

She glanced at Colbert, who remained calm and composed. She immediately said, "I have a

stomachache. I'll go first. Take your time with the bill."

After the cashier settled the payment, she said, "Hello, that will be 398.5 dollars."

Colbert paid the bill and left with his belongings.

The discussion behind them grew louder, but he seemed completely oblivious to it. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

They walked directly from the supermarket to the underground parking garage, where Eudora stood by

the car, waiting for him. When he approached, Eudora rolled her eyes at him and said, "So many

people were there. Do you say you like men? Aren't you afraid of being gossiped about by them?"

She admired Colbert's composure. He had no idea just how embarrassed she felt just now.

Colbert carried his belongings to the back of Eudora's car. He opened the trunk and put the items

inside.

After closing the trunk, he walked up to Eudora and looked down at her with icy eyes, lifting her chin

with his hand. "Don't make a scene like that again."

"I..."

Eudora opened her mouth, about to say something, but Colbert had already withdrawn his hand. "Go

back earlier. Goodnight."

He got into the car and drove away.

Colbert left quickly because he knew Eudora had suddenly turned her car toward the supermarket to

prevent him from knowing her address.

Since that was the case, he didn't want to force her either.

Watching the car slowly depart, Eudora touched her chin and suddenly felt her cheeks flush.

Colbert was becoming more and more gentle toward her. It made her heart race and feel incredibly shy.

Colbert was really going too far!

...

Two days later, the Kenison City charity event was held at Hitlin Hotel.

In the afternoon, after finishing her work at the company, Eudora prepared to go to Hitlin Hotel.

At that moment, a stranger walked in and approached Eudora directly. "Ms. Stanford, hello. I'm Micle.

I'm Mr. Steele's new assistant. He asked me to deliver this dress to you."

"New assistant?"

Eudora frowned. "Wasn't Corey doing a good job? Why would he be changed?"

Micle had a slight resemblance to Corey, but he was taller. He had a sense of righteousness about him.

He was not extremely handsome, but he exuded a rugged masculinity, the kind of man who grew on

people.

"That day, Corey showed some disrespect toward Ms. Stanford. Mr. Steele asked him to take a break,"

Micle replied politely.

"He fired him?"

"No, just asked him to take a break for a while," Micle didn't dare say too much and withheld the truth

from Eudora.
