Chapter 150 Frustrations

“Give her flowers, bags, cars, or even a house if necessary,” Jimmy said nonchalantly as he leaned against the railing.

Nathael frowned. He didn’t agree with Jimmy.

Jimmy smirked mischievously. “You can even beg for her forgiveness at her feet.”

Nathael was at a loss for words.

He ended the call without waiting for Jimmy to say anything.

I was stupid enough to ask him about it.

The following morning.

Maggie woke up early for class, but she felt a little unwell because she stayed up last night..

She received a call from Ronald after arriving at the classroom.

She went to a secluded corner in the corridor to answer the call.

“Maggie, are you with Nathael right now?”

Maggie lowered her gaze. “I almost got him, but Joseph almost ruined it. Dad, do you know what he told Nathael when he stormed in last night??

Ronald was surprised. He had heard bits and pieces from Joseph, but not the whole picture.

“He told Nathael that I approached him with ulterior motives. I don’t know what he wants by doing that. Doesn’t he realise how crucial Nathael’s support is for the Camerons?”

Maggie acted like she was frustrated.

Ronald paused and frowned. “You’re saying that he accused you in front of Nathael?”

“Yes, I didn’t tell him of my whereabouts, and I don’t know how he found out,” Maggie sighed. She tried to make it seems like she was maintaining her composure,

She had thought of what to say last night when she came out of the room.

What Ronald asked her to do was too ridiculous.

Ronald’s expression turned ugly. Continue to pursue Nathael, and I will speak to him later.”

“I had finally gained some trust from Nathael, and my efforts are all in vain,” Maggie sobbed.

After Ronald consoled Maggie, she asked, “Dad, are you guys hiding something from me?”

Ronald’s heart skipped a beat, thinking that Maggie had caught on to something.

“I was just speculating. I couldn’t understand why Joseph did that, and I wondered if there were other plans.

Ronald felt relieved that Maggie hadn’t uncovered any secrets.

“Don’t be upset. Perhaps he was just upset about what Nathael did to you.”

Maggie acted surprised before asking, “Why would you accuse me of something that I didn’t do then?”

Ronald hadn’t expected this question from her.

He was taken aback by Maggie’s suspicions, and he had simply brushed her off when he consoled her. He didn’t know how to answer Maggie’s question.

“Maggie… I think Joseph just wants to protect you by preventing you from getting involved with Nathael,” Ronald defended Joseph.

He couldn’t come up with any other explanation. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

As Maggie was on the verge of success, Joseph’s interference and accusations against her left Ronald baffled.

Maggie’s eyes looked cold after ending the call.

If it weren’t for Joseph causing a scene, she wouldn’t know how to handle it. Once it became known that. she and Nathael were together, who knew what other troubles might arise?

The timing wasn’t right for Nathael to become the scapegoat for the Camerons.

Maggie spotted a man in a white shirt leaning against the window in the corridor after hanging up the phone. He was patiently waiting for her to finish the call.

He looked at her with his charming eyes.

Sensing that she had finished the call, Nathael looked straight at her. He looked pitiful in Maggie’s eyes.

How did he find his way here?

The hotel they were staying at housed many students and designers studying abroad. It wasn’t difficult to find out her classroom.

Maggie pulled a straight face and forced herself to look away. She went straight into the classroom without paying any attention to him.

Nathael’s gaze fixed on her until she disappeared from his sight. There was loneliness in his eyes.

He had just overheard the conversation between her and Ronald.

She might find it hard to understand Joseph’s actions, but he knew them very well.

Joseph liked her.

He thought that she wasn’t important and that she should put the Camerons before her.

However deen down he couldn’t help but care for her. He wanted her

When Joseph accused and degraded her, he just wanted to hurt her. He didn’t want Maggie to be with Natharl

He wanted to manipulate Maggie to stay away from Nathael.

Joseph, Maggie, and Ronald had not realised this yet.

Nathael stood in the corridor until he saw the professor arriving for class. Only then did he leave.

Although Maggie wasn’t bothered by him, she couldn’t help but pay attention to him.

She only looked at the spot where Nathael was previously standing after he left.

Maggie pursed her lips when she didn’t see him. Did he leave just like that? Why didn’t he coax me? I was even sorry for leaving him there.

There was a 20–minute break for the 2–hour class.

Maggie went out and took a walk, but Nathael was nowhere to be found. She forced a smile.

Well, that’s fine.

Why would someone date a guy like Nathael?

He had even gotten married in his previous life.

How frustrating!

Meanwhile, after finishing a meeting in the hotel’s conference room, Nathael went to the florist outside the hotel.

“Sir, are you buying for your girlfriend or your mother? Do you need help with the arrangement?” The friendly florist approached him. A few girls were looking at him with admiration.

Such a handsome man!

“Thank you, I can do it myself. Nathael wanted to create the bouquet himself. He could have asked Alex to order a bouquet if he wanted others to help him.
