Chapter 152 Work Harder

Maggie gritted her teeth in frustration and glared at Nathnel. “What do you want?”

Nathael’s eyes darkened slightly, and he murmured to coax her. “Let’s do it here if you’re angry.”

She wouldn’t let him into her room back at the hotel.

Maggie chuckled. His words were like hinting at other stuff.

“Why should we fight at a specific location? You’re being unreasonable, Nathael!”

He pondered for a moment and realised that Maggie was correct. “Where do you want to fight then?”

Maggie was lost for words.

“Move, I’m not going to talk to you.” She hadn’t expected Nathael to be so shameless.

Maggie attempted to push him away.

However, Nathael didn’t budge. He had no intention of letting her go. Maggie lowered her head and bit his forearm hard.

Nathael remained silent despite being in pain.

When she tasted blood in her mouth, she bent down and tried to slip under his arm.

Nathael pulled her into his embrace before she could do that..

He put his hand on her waist and kissed her neck. “Don’t be upset, I’m sorry.

“Don’t ignore me, it makes me sad, Nathael whispered.

Nathael was afraid this moment was a dream for him.

His voice was husky and comforting.

Maggie felt a lump in her throat. His scent made her calm.

“Alright, I will forgive you if you write me an apology letter.”

Maggie said when she recalled the apology letter that he used to request from her.

What goes around comes around, doesn’t it?

This is it!

Nathael noticed that she was challenging him when she raised her eyebrow.

Maggie narrowed her eyes and changed her mind when she thought of something. “A love letter will do as well.

She had to take the chance to bully him since Nathael rarely let her win.

“Alright.” Nathael agreed.

Maggie looked at him. “Since you’ve agreed to it, don’t break your promise.”

Before Maggie could say anything else, Nathael kissed her.

She didn’t dodge and gently wrapped her arms around his waist to reciprocate.

Time passed, and there was a knock on the door, accompanied by the chatter of students outside. “Why is the classroom locked? Should we find the lecturer for the key?”

Maggie snapped out of it and pushed Nathael away hastily. “Look what you’ve done!”

Nathael held her hand and whispered, “Don’t worry. Blame everything on me.”

Maggie chuckled. “You make it sound like it’s not something embarrassing.”

Nathael led her to the door and said, “You can also blame it on yourself.”

Maggie scoffed. She blushed at the thought of someone outside waiting for them.

A few moments later, Nathael opened the door and stepped out with Maggie confidently. Maggie wished she could disappear on the spot.

“Are you two kissing in the classroom? Wow!”

Everyone was gossiping about them. A foreign student even whistled with a teasing smile, his eyes darting between Nathael and Maggic.

Maggie just wanted to leave quickly. She felt ashamed, even though Nathael didn’t feel the same.

However, Nathael glanced at the student who spoke and nodded. “Yes, she initiated the kiss.”

Maggie stared at him in disbelief.

“Nathael, you brat!”

A tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye.

Maggie wasn’t feeling embarrassed anymore.

Nathael kept quiet.

“Oh my! Is he your brat? I can’t believe you have a grown–up son!” The gossiping classmate exclaimed. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“Yes, you see, it’s quite a challenge to raise him. He’s always rebelling against me and causing trouble everywhere. There’s a saying in my country, ‘discipline starts at home, so I had to use your classroom, I hope you don’t mind!”

Maggie lied smoothly.

“What the hell?”

Maggie smiled and touched her face. “I look young, right? You can’t guess my age, can you? I’m actually forty–two this year. If I don’t have to worry about this brat, I would definitely look younger!”

Maggie chatted away with the others. Nathael pulled her as he felt a headache coming on.

“Where’s your respect for me?” Maggie scolded.

Nathael glanced at her coldly. “Do you want to be my next stepmother?”

At the mention of that, Maggie paused as she remembered Nathael’s mother, Madam Elise.

Although she hadn’t interacted much with her, she remembered that Madam Elise had disapproved of their marriage.

Maggie could understand her feelings.

Putting herself in Madam Elise’s shoes, she would be furious if her son wanted to marry a disfigured, blind woman who hated him.

Maggie kept quiet immediately. “I’m the type that holds grudges, I haven’t forgiven you yet.”

Nathael pushed her into the car.

The air conditioner in the car made Maggie happy again.

She leaned back against the seat, still holding onto the bouquet.

She couldn’t help but sigh when she thought of Nathael’s mother.

“I don’t care, if Madam Elise doesn’t approve of us, I’ll find someone else. After all, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Nathael, you better step up your game.”

Step up your game and marry me soon.
