Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 684: You're Not Here to Arrest Me?

Upon hearing this, Damian laughed.

His smile was filled with arrogance and confidence.

"He thinks he can train me? He's not worthy!" Damian's eyes shimmered with mockery.

Tina nodded, "Indeed! Compared to you, his methods are somewhat lacking!"

Damian's eyebrows rose, his smile deepening, "It seems you know quite a lot about my affairs!"

"Just a bit. Someone who aims to replace Five Poisons and become the new leader of GTO naturally has methods beyond those of someone like Jasper, who only knows obedience," Tina said softly, her voice devoid of excessive emotion. Since entering the room, her demeanor had been light and detached, leaving others unable to guess her thoughts.

"So, what brings you here today? To arrest me?" Damian chuckled calmly, showing no sign of panic, "What makes you think you could catch me? Now that I've taken Jasper's place, I won't be as incompetent as he was!"

Tina lifted her gaze to Damian, her smile growing deeper. She then patted Juliet on the shoulder, "Juliet, we need to talk. You go upstairs and rest!"

"I..." Juliet didn't want to leave!

After consecutive troubles in the Reed family had finally settled, Damian was now in trouble again.

She really didn't want to face it anymore!

But seeing Tina's demeanor, Juliet knew she wouldn't leave until things were resolved.

Juliet pursed her lips, said nothing more, and turned to go upstairs.

Once Juliet had left, Tina turned her attention back to Damian, took a sip of her drink, and said lightly, "I'm not here to arrest you."

Damian paused, then raised an eyebrow, "Not arrest me?"

He scoffed mockingly, "That's not your style!"

Tina smiled, "What style is that?"

Damian replied, "With your personality, you would have already surrounded the Reed family tightly, caught me, and forced me to reveal the whereabouts of Five Poisons!"

Tina tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "And if I asked, you would tell me?"

"I would!" Damian responded without hesitation, "In fact, by now, Jared should already be leading a team to find Five Poisons, right?"

Tina raised an eyebrow, "You really are smarter than Jasper!"

Damian said, "I think so too!"

Tina laughed, leaning back on the sofa, speaking casually, "But cleverness can sometimes lead to one's own undoing."

Damian's eyes narrowed, he remained silent.

Tina leaned back, her eyes slightly lowered, and also remained silent, leaving Damian unsure of her thoughts.

The atmosphere turned eerily quiet.

Outside, a gust of wind blew, causing the windows to creak, but neither spoke.

After a long while, Tina finally spoke slowly, "All the bionic robots have been destroyed, right? Starting tomorrow, I don't want to see a single one appear."

With that, Tina stood up and walked towards the door.

Upon hearing this, Damian was taken aback, he stood up and watched her back, "You're really not going to arrest me?"

Tina stopped, turned her head to look at him, her eyes cold, "Damian, being smart is good, but dragging the entire Reed family down with your stupidity is utterly foolish!" Damian's body stiffened, "You!"

Tina said coldly, "You hate Jasper, you hate Annabelle, that's your personal issue. Your parents, Griffin, and Juliet, they don't hate anyone. Don't impose your hatred on them."

Damian suddenly slumped onto the sofa, his eyes hollow. "I know you're smart, and I thought, after all this time plotting and planning, that I could fully grasp your thoughts. Yet, you still found out."This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Tina stood in the middle of the living room, silently staring at him, not uttering a word.

Damian looked up, a rueful laugh escaping him. "Yes! I hate Jasper, I hate Annabelle. One killed Gemma's grandmother, the other captured Gemma and used her for virus experiments at GTO! I hate them, and even more, I hate the Five Poisons. Gemma is dead, and I will destroy them all, so they may never find peace."

As he spoke, Damian suddenly burst into a manic laughter. "That's why, on the day you came to capture Annabelle, I secretly drugged her with something that made her go mad. After her death, I buried her body in a deserted mountain. I hired a master to perform rituals and whip her daily."

He looked up at Tina. "You must have known already that I didn't take her to be cremated, right?"

Tina remained silent, not denying it.

After Annabelle's death, Jasper had entrusted Damian with handling her affairs, so instead of cremation, Damian took her body to a deserted mountain. He hired a master to seal the coffin and conducted rituals beside Annabelle's grave to ensure she would never rest in peace.

Tina knew this, but she didn't interfere or care.

Seeing Tina's silence, Damian continued, "As for Jasper... how could I get close to the Five Poisons if I didn't gain his trust? So when you were capturing him, I helped out a bit. It was quite effective; the Five Poisons trust me a lot now." Tina's lips curled into a mocking smile. "The trust you speak of, obtained by sacrificing Griffin's life. Is it worth it?"

"It is worth it!" Damian exclaimed. "As long as I can avenge Gemma, everything is worth it! Even if it means using the entire Reed family in exchange. Who in this family is truly innocent?"

Tina looked deeply at him. Hatred is the most terrifying thing in the world; it can utterly disfigure a person.

No one knew that Damian had a deeply beloved girl named Gemma Churchill.

Gemma's grandmother was one of the people Annabelle had killed.

The Churchill family in Ashbury were hardly considered a powerful clan, barely a minor one. Back then, they were just ordinary workers, and Gemma's grandmother had been close friends with Jared's grandmother. When Jared's grandmother was murdered, Gemma's grandmother was an innocent victim.

At that time, Gemma's father was unmarried, and Gemma had no memory of her grandmother or knowledge that she had been murdered. Gemma held no grudges, but Damian, deeply in love with her, learned from a young age that Annabelle had killed someone, including Gemma's grandmother.

So, he harbored hatred for Annabelle.

Tina could see that this hatred made little sense.

However, Damian's hatred for Jasper she could understand.

Gemma had discovered Jasper's secret and was then captured by him and taken to GTO for virus experiments.

Damian had watched helplessly.

Since Gemma's abduction, Damian had never seen her again, only later receiving news of her death.

Thus, he hated Jasper, he hated the Five Poisons.

Tina glanced at him coolly, her voice calm and slow, "You never truly understood Gemma."
