Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Judith wanted to leave. She still had things to do, but the nurse asked her to pay attention to the man’s state. She saved him, so she couldn’t leave until the man’s family came. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Judith waited and fell asleep on the bed. Frank opened his eyes slightly on the bed. He looked around with his deep eyes and discovered that he was in the hospital. Suddenly, his phone rang, and the ringtone let out. When Frank heard the noisy sound, he knitted his sharp browns in a bad mood.

Judith heard the familiar ringtone and took out the phone from the backpack on her knees. She answered the phone without looking up. “Eric.” She just woke up, so her voice sounded a little hoarse. “Mom, it’s Emily.” His daughter’s displeased voice came from the phone. “Emily, what’s wrong?” Judith sobered up a little. “We’re here. Emily, don’t worry.” Judith listened to her daughter’s words and softly hummed. After hanging up the phone, Judith felt that her arms were numb and stretched herself. When she looked up, she suddenly saw that the man on the bed had woken up. She frowned slightly and slowly stood up. Her tone was indifferent and distant. “Sir, you are awake. I should go. Call your family to look after you!” “Did you save me?” Frank’s voice was low and deep, and he looked imposing. He looked at the beautiful woman in front of him. Her hair was brown and curly. Her face looked delicate and tender. Her eyes were big and clear, like orchids in the valley. She smelt good, but her white dress was stained with blood. Frank had seen all kinds of women, but he had never seen such a pure and beautiful woman like her. But why did her eyes look so familiar? “Sir, it was the doctor who saved you. I just called an ambulance and came here with the ambulance. Goodbye!” Judith looked at the time. It was already past six o’clock. She was going to be late for Eric’s piano competition, so she did not care about Frank’s unfriendly attitude. She turned around and left in a hurry. Frank stared at the woman who was leaving without hesitation. His mouth curled up into a cold smile. Never had a woman ignored him before. The woman’s answer was quite interesting. When Judith took the elevator, a handsome man in a suit went upstairs through the elevator in a hurry.

Judith looked at her phone. It was already past six o’clock. She glanced at the address her son had sent her and she smiled. Her son’s competition was about to start, so she had to hurry up. “Frank, you are here. I’ve searched half of the hospital in Mayfield.” Gary panted as he looked at Frank, who was lying on the bed with an indifferent expression. “Someone did something to the brakes. Go back and investigate it.” Frank said coldly and angrily. His deep eyes flashed with a trace of bloodlust, and a chill suddenly spread through the room. Gary nodded with a solemn expression. “I’m sorry, sir. I left something here.” Judith ran back, panting. Frank smiled mockingly. Was this woman playing hard to get? Judith left the hospital and found that she left her handkerchief in the ward. She lowered her head and looked around anxiously. It was a gift from her daughter and was very important to her. “No!” Judith was so anxious that she patted her forehead. She remembered that she had been holding it in her hand all this time.

She quickly kneeled on the ground and searched under the hospital bed, but she didn’t find it.
