“The new boss? Why is he saving us?”

A glimmer of hope remained in their eyes.
“I do!” Emmanuel shouted. “According to the rules, the victor can determine the fate of
the defeated. Now, only the Black Wolf Clan and the Ophanim Clan remained standing.
We can determine your fate and give you freedom! Now, go!”
“Really?” The faces of the prisoners lit up instantly.

followed in a frenzy to escape
In the dim dungeon, groups of escaping prisoners met in the corridor. They were
heading in the same direction, the exit of the dungeon.
Emmanuel watched them leave, feeling a myriad of emotions. He took a deep breath
and marched toward the cell at the end of the passage.
“Hey, Black Wolf Boss! You shouldn’t go there!” some prisoners advised.
“That’s right! I heard that the last cell holds a terrifying monster!”
The group of prisoners warned him in panic. Seeing Emmanuel unmoved, they decided
to leave him alone and ran for their lives.
After the prisoners had left the corridor, he continued forward with the torch.
After some time, the cell at the end finally came into view.

A Monster in the Cell

The cell was made of different materials from the ordinary cells. Its walls were made of
stone, about forty inches thick.
He doubted the sturdy walls could be blasted open by a cannon, not to mention the
alloy door.
With the aid of the dim firelight, he saw a person sitting in the cell through the alloy
door.
The person’s long hair was veiling his face. Yet, his eyes shone in the darkness like
stars at night.
“You finally made it here!” The man chuckled at the cautiously approaching Emmanuel.
His statement took Emmanuel aback. Emmanuel’s curiosity eventually gave in, and he
asked, “Who are you? How do you know me?”
