Chapter 573 Ask Her
Chapter 573 Ask Her
Clarissa’s smile was tainted with ill temper. She was probably mocking Damien’s hasty decision.
Now that she was in an argument with Damien, she wasn’t the same as she had been when Theresa
had just passed away. Back then, she thought Damien had killed her only remaining family. She had
just gone to Emmeria and Lotharia, and she had been dogged by Iris. She hadn’t been able to see or
hear from Damien, and she had felt so much pressure in her heart. It was almost like she had been
heart sick for him. She was controlled by her negative emotions, feeling like the apocalypse would
come the very next day. She kept crying for no reason, completely depressed. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
But things were different now. She was in Genovia, and she was even working for Damien. She could
see him whenever she wanted. If she was unhappy, she could even vent her frustrations on him. Now,
Clarissa had gone back to the way things had been when she had been newly married to Damien.
The difference was that, in the past, she hadn’t known what the future would be like. She thought that
she would separate from Damien sooner or later. However, she was now very confident that she meant
something to Damien. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have waited for her for three whole years.
Now, Damien was just being stubborn!
Even though Clarissa was still confused and had no idea what had happened, she knew she couldn’t
just let Damien get away with this.
“Chanel,” Clarissa finally replit to Bethany.
“Chanel? He married Chanel?” Bethany’s eyes widened. “That two-faced bitch?”
Typically, Clarissa would tell Bethany off for saying such a thing, but today, she kept silent.
“What is Damien trying to pull? That fucker! I’ll go talk to him.” After saying that, Bethany turned to go.
“You won’t be able to go back to Hill Villa. How am I supposed to get on Mrs. Faber’s good side now?
This is a chain reaction!”
Clarissa was speechless.
Bethany was truly too ruthless. She didn’t see things from Clarissa’s standpoint at all.
Bethany rushed over to Damien’s house.
Luckily, Damien was at home.
“Damien! When Clarissa was in Florin, you kept running over to the University of Florin. What’s
happened now? Why have you married someone else after she went on a trip to Lotharia? You fucker!”
Bethany yelled, infuriated.
Clarissa was afraid of Damien, and so was Lily. However, Bethany was different. She wasn’t scared of
him.
Damien looked up at her. “Did she ask you to come?”
“Clarissa’s not that discerning. She’s at home drinking. I’m the one who can’t stand seeing her like
that.”
“Then shouldn’t you ask her what she did in Lotharia?” Damien asked.
Bethany wondered if Clarissa could possibly have cheated on Damien and gotten caught. Why didn’t
she cover her tracks properly? If Clarissa had slept with another man, then Bethany really couldn’t help
her. Men hated this sort of thing. Plus, Damien was a well-known person. His reputation was crucial.
Bethany quickly realized she had no foot to stand on here, and started feeling mortified.
Just then, she saw Mrs. Faber walk into the kitchen with her hand pressed to her stomach.
“Mrs. Faber, what’s wrong?” Bethany asked, trying to reduce her embarrassment.
Damien didn’t notice anything wrong with Mrs. Faber.
However, he could tell from her exaggerated concern that Bethany’s point wasn’t that Mrs. Faber was
feeling unwell.
“My stomach hurts a little.” Mrs. Faber sat on the couch to the side.
“Take the afternoon off. I’ll take care of Neil,” Damien said to Mrs. Faber.
Bethany rolled her eyes at Damien and palpated Mrs. Faber’s stomach. “Does this hurt?”
Mrs. Faber made noises of pain. “Yes, quite a bit.”
“It’s probably gynecological. Let’s go, I’ll take you to the hospital.” After saying that, Bethany helped
Mrs. Faber up.
Bethany didn’t even say goodbye to Damien before leaving Hill Villa, escaping the awkwardness she
had fallen into with him.
