Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 314 A Nightmare In A Luxurious Room

Chapter 314 A Nightmare In A Luxurious Room

Rainer inhaled deeply when he saw that Terence entered the room. Gathering his courage, he wiped

his tears and walked over to him.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Terence. It's all my fault. I couldn't persuade Miss Carla to stay. Anything that you think I

deserve as punishment, I will gladly accept!"

Rainer stated while he slapped himself on the face.

But Terence only ignored him and instead, stared into the distance where the car disappeared. His

eyes were downcast in a second, looking dull and colorless.

He sighed deeply and said, "Forget it! If she insisted, I couldn't have stopped her either way."

After all, Andrea was her biological mother. How could Carla turn her down, especially when Andrea

came to ask Carla in person?

There was nothing Terence could do to stop it.

"But, Mr. Terence, how could you possibly endure even the idea that Miss Carla is going to get

engaged to another man?" Rainer stated and then blew his nose with a tissue and took another to wipe

his tears. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

He felt sorry for Terence. He had been with them through their ups and downs. He was a witness of

how they fell in love with each other.

And just when Terence and Carla were about to have a happy ending, Noah came out of nowhere and

ruined everything.

"Stop crying! Act like a man!"

Terence exclaimed with determination while he turned to Rainer.

"Go and get all the information that you can about the Hua family. If Noah dares to take my wife, I'll let

him know what he has to lose," he then ordered Rainer.

Giving up?

It didn't exist in Terence's vocabulary.

Just as Carla said, it was just an engagement. But even if she did marry Noah, Terence was certain

that he could win her back.

Carla was bound to be Terence's woman. He wouldn't allow anybody to take her away from him. That

was his end goal. It was what he envisioned and decided for his future and no one could change that.

And now that Noah had stood in their way, Terence would go at any lengths to take him out.

At his master's command, Rainer immediately stopped weeping and nodded at him before exiting the

room in a hurry.

'Right, it's just an engagement, not a wedding. Miss Carla even accepted it reluctantly in the first place.

Besides, Mr. Terence always gets what he wants. There was no exception.

What a pity it would be if he gave up right now!' Rainer thought to himself.

Meanwhile, when Carla and Andrea arrived at HA City, it was already ten o'clock in the evening.

But no matter how late it was, Noah was waiting at the door.

As soon as the car pulled over, Noah stepped forward and opened the car door to greet Andrea.

"Mother, welcome home," he said with a smile.

"You must have been waiting for a long time," Andrea greeted back.

Noah smiled even wider then responded, "Not really. I just came out." He then turned to Carla who was

sitting beside Andrea and his smile couldn't get any wider. He walked to her side and opened the door

for her.

"Carla, welcome home," Noah greeted her warmly and held the car door for her. When he saw Carla

was reaching for her crutches, he embraced her and held her off the car.

She forced a smile and nodded. "Thanks, Noah," she said with a tint of sadness.

"It's my pleasure," Noah responded. He turned to Andrea and stated, "Mother, Callie must have been

tired after the journey. I'll take her to the room."

Andrea had already gotten off the car on her own. She was smiling while she looked at them and

replied, "All right. Go ahead. I'll have Zoila prepare some food and have it brought up to you. Callie

must be hungry." Noah nodded at her and stated, "Thanks, mother!" Then, he focused on Carla and

walked upstairs, holding her tight in his embrace.

It was the first time that Carla was seeing the Hua family's mansion. The interior decoration was very

vintage. Most of the furniture was made of luxurious wood, so the whole room smelled like it.

Noah smelled just the same.

When they reached upstairs, Carla saw a lot of rooms lined up in the corridor. She wondered which

room was Bonnie's.

"Don't worry, I have sent off Bonnie abroad. She won't be back so soon," Noah said gently as if he

knew what Carla was thinking about. Then he opened one of the bedroom doors and took her in. He

then asked, "This is your room. Do you like it?"

Carla took a careful look at the room. As to be expected, it was spacious and well-lit. All the sheets and

curtains looked new. "Is this Bonnie's old room?" she asked.

The furniture looked new but it didn't smell. It must have been there for a long time.

"Of course not. Mother and father had been keeping this room especially for you. They didn't allow

anyone else to occupy it. Every time that Bonnie asked for it, father would always turn her down,"

Noah explained while he helped her sit on a rattan chair covered with a mat. He then placed her injured

leg on a soft stool.

After which, he went to pour her a glass of honey water before stating, "It's your room now. If there's

anything that you don't like, please tell me and I'll get it changed."

It took a while before Carla could comprehend that

Allen and Andrea had already prepared the room for her.

She glanced around the room for a few more moments before looking back at him. She held on tightly

to the glass of lukewarm honey water and said, "Everything's fine. Thank you, Noah."

Noah sat beside her on a stool and stared at her with soft eyes. "It's nothing. For all the years that we

have lost you, we owe you so much. Now that father's gone, I'll take the responsibility and make it up to

you."

Carla just smiled a little and took a sip of the sweet honey water. "Um...it's delicious," she said, trying to

avoid the subject.

"I know you like lime honey water, so I prepared it for you." Then he pointed to the door opposite the

room and said, "Right there is my room. If there's anything that you need, you can just knock on my

door or call me."

Carla nodded at that.

"Also, the dress for tomorrow is ready. You should try it on. If it doesn't fit, I'll have the tailor fix it

tonight," he said before he stood up and opened the closet.

From where she was sitting, Carla could see that the whole wardrobe was stocked with various

garments.

There were different types of luxurious dresses which would be a necessity since she would have to

attend dinners and parties. As the daughter of the Hua family, she would need to socialize after her leg

recovered.

Noah hung the dress that she would wear tomorrow on a hanger for her to try on. Although Noah asked

her to try it on so she could see if it fitted, it was impossible that it wouldn't.

All the dresses were precisely customized in her size. They would fit her perfectly well.

"Okay, I know. I'll try it on later," Carla said. She looked at the beautiful blue dress, trying hard to look a

little happy.

"Okay then, I'll leave you so you can rest. Have a good night, Carla," Noah stated. He took one last

look at her before walking outside and closing the door.

After he left, the smile that Carla tried to put on immediately fell on the floor.

She put the glass on the round wooden table beside her and walked around in this extravagant room.

She felt like she was dreaming.

But instead of a daydream, she was in a nightmare.

What's worse, everything had only just begun.

Before long, Andrea walked in the room.

"Callie, come and have some food. You haven't eaten anything. You must be really hungry right now,"

she smiled sweetly at Carla.

Then, she gestured for the servant to bring in the dishes. Andrea walked towards Carla and stated,

"Callie, look at you. You are as thin as a match. Now that you're home, it would be mother's personal

mission to have you gain some weight, 20 pounds at least."

Carla exhaled and forced a smile. Then, she exclaimed, "Twenty pounds!? Please don't. I'm going to

look like a round ball."

"But you look better with some extra weight!" Andrea said, smiling happily. She sat down and ordered

the servant to place the dishes. "Come, have some food while it's still hot. You can't sleep well with an

empty stomach. Tomorrow, you'll meet a lot of people. You need to have all the energy that you could."

Looking at the delicious dishes on the table, Carla unwillingly took up the chopsticks. She didn't really

have an appetite.

Meanwhile, Andrea couldn't help but stare at Carla who looked exactly like her younger self. Her smile

looked like it could reach her ears. No one would be able to comprehend her happiness because after

all these years, she could finally see her daughter.

She had been waiting for this day for twenty years. Now that her dream came true, she felt like the

happiest woman in the world.

However, if it was like a sweet dream to Andrea, it was more like a nightmare for Carla.

"What's wrong? You don't like the dishes?"

Andrea asked when she noticed that Carla had stopped eating.

Carla shook her head and replied, "No, it's delicious. It's just... I'm not really that hungry."

In fact, Carla could have taken more bites but with Andrea staring at her, she felt really uncomfortable.

Andrea exclaimed immediately, "How could it be possible that you're not hungry? You must eat

something or you'll get hungry at night. I insist that you should eat.

If you feel uncomfortable while I'm here, I could leave."

Carla meekly nodded.

Andrea laughed and stood up. She took one last look at Carla and finally walked towards the door.
