Chapter 600 What Our Memories Actually Meant (Part Two)

Meanwhile, Carla went to their own bedroom and sat on the couch. She started organizing all the

photos that she printed out and put them in an album.

"Aren't you going to sleep yet?"

Terence walked over and sat right next to her after he finished washing up.

He took the photo album from her hands and looked at the pictures that she had placed.

"When did we take this one?" Terence casually asked as he pointed to a certain photo on a page. It

was a photo they took with Nathan and Rainer.

Carla adjusted herself and sat cross-legged on the couch. Upon hearing that, she gave him a puzzled

look.

"Don't you remember? It was when we went to YH Mountain. There was a natural tunnel. Bonnie was

there too when we took the photo."

Terence frowned lightly and then said, "I remembered we went to YH Mountain, but I couldn't

remember very clearly what had happened while we were there."

"How about this one?"

Carla asked while she turned the album to the next page and pointed a photo. She was the one who

took that photo a long time ago when they were in her two-bedroom apartment back in BH City.

In the photo, Terence was wearing a cheap white T-shirt and an apron. He was cooking and there was

a big smile on his handsome face.

Terence frowned even harder. He rubbed his forehead to ease the pain that was starting to form on his

temples. He was trying really hard to remember the things that he was seeing on the photographs. The

man on the photo looked exactly like him. He knew that it was him and a part of him was saying that he

was indeed in that moment. But somehow, there was a blank space in his mind about the things that he

was seeing.

"Carla, I-I'm sorry..." NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

he sighed.

It was becoming clear to Carla what was happening but truth be told, it was really hard for Terence to

admit it.

There were a lot of things that he couldn't remember no matter how hard he tried. The worst part was

that most of the memories about their relationship that he could "remember" were actually just told to

him by Nathan and Rainer.

"Terence, why? Why didn't you just tell me that you haven't fully recovered yet? Why did you act like

you had remembered everything? Tell me, why?"

Carla's eyes started to dim with tears while she stared at him.

All along, she had thought that he had fully recovered. Although he couldn't remember every detail of

their lives, she thought that he had a grasp about most of their memories. Carla had actually accepted

the fact that he might not remember every single detail. She thought that it would be asking for too

much.

However, those memories were very precious to her, and she had actually been hoping that it would be

precious for Terence as well.

Hearing the stories from other people would never be the same as the actual memories that he had in

him. How could he regard and feel the preciousness of the memories that they had shared if he

couldn't even remember them?

"I am very sorry, Carla!"

Terence sighed and continued to apologize. He held her by the shoulder and gently stated, "Although I

couldn't remember all of our memories, it doesn't change the love that I have for you. Every cell in my

body remembers you. Every part of me is screaming to love you and care about you every day and

every minute of our lives..."

It seemed like loving Carla had been written on his bones. He didn't have to try. The love was inside of

him. It was like he just knew that it was his fate to love her and only her.

"Carla, don't worry about it too much. I had set an appointment with a hypnotist. He will be here next

week." Terence tried once more to comfort her.

Although their relationship had been going great and it had never been better, he still wanted to recover

his memories of her and their relationship. He wanted to be a man with a complete past.

"Okay, I will be there with you when he gets here!"

Terence smiled at the feeling of support that he was receiving from Carla. He then said, "Thank you,

my love."

Carla gently put her head against his shoulder.

"Carla, why do you care so much about the past?" Terence asked in a low but soft voice while he held

her tighter.

"It's not that I care so much about the past. What I care about is our love. Our relationship had been

built by all of the memories that we shared together. Certainly, it is the foundation of our love as well.

After all the experiences, laughter and pains that we had together, we finally get to where we are now.

We didn't just get to this place; we had been on a journey. We still are." Carla stated as she sincerely

looked into Terence's eyes.

"In that case, I guess it's not really wrong for you to say that I care about the past."

Carla continued softly as she snuggled closer in his chest.

"I understand. Don't worry. I will try my hardest to bring back all of the memories that I had lost!"

Terence sighed and held her even tighter.

Just like that, time passed by very quickly.

Terence was going to be on a two-day business trip. He had decided to take Carla with him. In the

middle of the night, Terence woke up Carla who was still in deep sleep. While she was half asleep,

Terence placed a jacket on her and helped her into the car.

While they were waiting for the RV that they were going to use, Carla finally started to wake up

completely. The first thing that she noticed was that Terence had put a thin blanket on her.

Taking a look at the dark sky outside the window, Carla yawned. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

Terence replied slowly, "I did. You just continued to sleep."

He couldn't blame her for not waking up though. It was only four o'clock in the morning. Usually, it was

the time when Carla would sleep the deepest. It was understandable that she wasn't fully awake at that

time.
