LYU 82
Ghea has sighed deeply countless times. She feels extremely nervous thinking about Randy’s reaction when he meets Giselle in a short while.
Ghea is actually angry about what Giselle did. However, her heart still feels afraid and worried that her husband might lose control and be provoked emotionally. Ghea only just found out that Randy can look so terrifying when angry. This is something she really wants to avoid.
Then, when the person they’ve been waiting for finally arrives in the investigation room, Ghea observes and can clearly see that the first thing Randy does is smirk. He tries to control his emotions by remaining calm, but he always appears alert. Randy continues to watch from a distance until the woman they’ve been waiting for finally speaks up and starts talking.
“What’s really going on here? Why did the police officer call me all sorts of things to come here?” Giselle asks casually when the woman is seated in front of her.
“We deliberately called and asked Miss to come here to provide information regarding the accident that occurred some time ago.”Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
Giselle smiles. Her facial expression looks so calm. Not a hint of nervousness shows on her beautiful face. The woman seems prepared as if nothing happened or she did nothing wrong. Randy can’t help but think that his wife’s stepsister is really good at acting and lying in front of many people.
“Which accident?” Giselle asks nonchalantly. For God’s sake, Randy really wants to teach his sister-in-law a lesson because he’s fed up with all the expressions she displays.
Giselle is truly like a snake. Or perhaps, does the woman not realize that everyone is now suspicious of her?
“The accident that happened to your stepsister. The accident that almost took the life of the baby in Ghea’s womb,” Randy replies sarcastically. He truly shows his displeasure.
“Oh my God, Randy,” Giselle exclaims. Then, shortly after, she smiles casually. “So what’s the matter with Ghea’s accident? What does it have to do with me? Why are you suddenly asking for an explanation from me? Did I hit Ghea? No, right?”
Randy takes a deep breath. He continues to try to keep his mind and thoughts alert so as not to be provoked by Giselle’s annoying attitude. If only he could, he would throw Giselle into jail right then and there without much drama.
“I’m sure you’re the mastermind behind yesterday’s incident! I swear I’ll make you regret it if it’s proven you’re guilty.”
Giselle shows no sign of fear at all. Instead, she bursts into loud laughter, so loud that it seems to belittle the threat Randy is directing at her.
“Don’t exaggerate. I admit I’ve never liked Ghea. But I’m not so vile as to dirty my hands, let alone commit suicide by harming Ghea,” Giselle says. Her smile doesn’t fade from her face. “Besides, what would I gain from harming, let alone killing Ghea? She’s already left the house and got herself a wealthy husband. So, there’s no way I’d interfere with the Donovan family’s wealth or inheritance.”
“There’s clearly something to gain!”
From the entrance, another woman appears, joining the conversation. Immediately, everyone in the room turns to the source of the voice, including Giselle, who is startled by what she sees.
“Agista…” Giselle mutters while shaking her head. She truly can’t hide the surprise on her face. “You-”
“Why, Giselle?” the other woman interrupts while laughing sarcastically. “Are you surprised by my sudden presence here?”
Giselle laughs back insipidly. However, her facial expression still can’t conceal the truth. The calmness she has been maintaining slowly turns into anxiety.
“Why should I be surprised? Your presence or absence here doesn’t affect me in the slightest,” Giselle tries to sound nonchalant.
Agista, who unexpectedly came with Alvin, Randy’s assistant, steps forward. She intentionally approaches the spot where Giselle is sitting.
“Oh, really? How about I tell all the truths you’ve been hiding to the police or investigators here? Would that still not affect you at all?” Agista smiles this time. “No need to pretend. I know all your plans. It’s your own fault for manipulating me here.”
“Don’t talk nonsense, Agista!” Giselle retorts, displeased.
“Why, Giselle? Are you scared?” Agista mocks with laughter. “Are you starting to fear that your wickedness will be exposed? Are you afraid that Randy and everyone here will know about all the sinister plans you’ve carried out just to erase Ghea from this world?”
“Shut up!” Giselle shouts again. Her voice rises, capturing everyone’s attention. “Stop talking!”
“Why? Are you scared too? Are you afraid of all the truths I’m going to reveal today?”
Agista’s gaze then shifts to Randy and Ghea, who are currently standing side by side. Taking a step forward, she speaks. “Just so you know, Ran. Why did I degrade myself to keep approaching you yesterday?”
Agista then takes out a piece of paper from the bag she brought and hands it to Randy for him to read.
“An agreement?” Randy asks, puzzled.
Agista nods, confirming.
“Yes, that’s a collaboration agreement between Giselle and me that we agreed upon. I don’t know how your uncle found out about me being close to you. He also knew I was facing economic difficulties. The nasty part is, Giselle seized that moment to contact me, then made an offer that she would provide the money I needed as long as I was willing to do what she commanded.” Agista paused. She glanced briefly at Giselle, smiled, and then turned back to Randy with confidence. “No need to bother looking for who masterminded your wife’s accident. It’s Giselle. Before this, she even asked me to take Ghea’s life. But because I refused, she tried to get rid of me as well. Luckily, I managed to evade it.”
Randy is stunned hearing Agista’s explanation. Apparently, what happened between him and Agista some time ago was also part of Giselle’s plan.
Driven by endless wealth and grudges, Giselle went completely blind. She didn’t care even if her actions could endanger others’ lives.
“What nonsense is this, Agista? Don’t make false accusations! Besides, who would believe the words of a liar like you?” Giselle shouted loudly, trying to defend herself against all the accusations thrown at her.
“No need to bother denying it, Giselle.”
Agista laughs heartily. This time, she takes out her phone from her pants pocket. Then she approaches Randy and hands over what she’s holding. “You know I’ve always been a cautious person, right? So, there are some moments when I met and discussed with Giselle that I intentionally recorded just in case. Now, the recording proves to be useful, and I can use it as a weapon to trap a wicked woman like Giselle.”
Randy then accepts what Agista gave him and listens to the instructions his former lover provides.
“In this phone, there’s a recording of my conversation with Giselle where she forced me to make Ghea disappear. There’s also evidence, in the form of a recording, where Giselle planned to eliminate Ghea as soon as possible. And one of the options she discussed at that time was sabotaging or intentionally crashing the car Ghea was riding in. Please, you and the others, listen for yourselves. I think this is enough as consideration for you to capture Giselle and promptly send her to jail.”
Giselle can no longer resist. There’s nothing she can do to defend herself. The bitter truth and unexpected evidence revealed by Agista make it impossible for her to deny. She never thought that Agista would reappear and proclaim what she had done.
Giselle remains motionless for a moment. In such a cornered situation, her face still shows a look of arrogance. As if what she did is not something she regrets in the slightest.
“Okay, since all the evidence seems to be complete, it seems useless for me to deny. Yes, I’ve always wanted Ghea to disappear from the face of this earth. Even, if possible, I wanted to get rid of her from the first time she came to the Donovan family residence.”
Hearing Giselle’s casually confident confession, Randy immediately shoots her a sharp gaze. Still, he tries to control his emotions to avoid being provoked into doing things beyond his control.
“All this time, I’ve been waiting. Waiting for the right moment to get rid of Ghea. Just so you know, what her late mother did is unforgivable. Ghea and her mother have successfully destroyed the Donovan family! That’s why Ghea doesn’t deserve to be happy at all.”
Full of emotion, Giselle pours out her heart, expressing all the frustration she has been suppressing and feeling.
Meanwhile, Randy, the man, can no longer hide his anger. He stands up and steps forward, throwing a sharp gaze. If only Giselle weren’t a woman, for God’s sake, Randy would love to confront her right now.
“I swear I’ll make you rot in jail. Remember, even if Papa Maxwell sheds tears of blood, I won’t let you easily get out of here.”
Randy then turns to the officers, handing over Agista’s phone while speaking at length.
“Please process this quickly, Sir. Please process that crazy woman as soon as possible,” Randy points towards Giselle. “I believe all the evidence is complete. The perpetrator has even confessed to her actions. So, I think it’s more than enough to make her rot in jail.”
After addressing the officers and completing the investigation process, Randy returns to Ghea. He promptly takes his wife away as soon as possible.
