TWO MONTHS LATER ★

And just like that two months was gone by but it didn’t just go with nothing happening. These past months, Carson was done with high school and his graduation was a month ago and Maya was still in jail.

With that whole family, everything was going normal, Mason’s work was going well while Skyler was getting prepared for her finals in the designer school. There would also be a big launch at D•S where Mason plans to show himself to the world and his wife too because at least by then, Skyler would have given birth.

It was midnight, everyone was asleep when Skyler’s stomach began painting her, it started with a little pain, she was sweating and uncomfortable that she had to turn to the other side of the bed.

“Are you okay beautiful?” Mason slowly opened his eyes, she was cuddling with him but left him all of that sudden.

When he heard her groaning a bit, he sat on the bed and turned on the table lamp.

“Beautiful..” he called softly.

“My tummy hurts Mason?” Skyler groaned.

“Where? Do you need me to give you a message?” He moved closer to her and placed his hands on her stomach.

“I’m fine now” she muttered.

“So what happened earlier, do you need me to take you to the hospital tomorrow?” He asked softly and she shook her head.

“I guess it’s just a sign that the baby would soon come out” she replied.

“Really? How do you know that?” Mason narrowed his eyes at her.

“I’m a woman, I know” She rolled her eyes before lying on the bed properly.

Mason lay close to her and wrapped his hands around her stomach.

“Sleep tight and don’t go anywhere tomorrow, if anything happens you should call me okay?” He said softly and she nodded.

He then kissed her forehead before they both went to sleep again.

It was afternoon, Mason was busy in the board room listening to one of his clients talk when Alvin entered.

“Boss your grandpa has been calling nonstop and I know it was disrespectful to pick up your calls but you need to go to the hospital” Alvin whispered to him.

“Why what happened?” Mason looked at him.

“Skyler is there and she’s in labor,” Alvin told him.

Mason’s eyes widened, he stood up and rushed out of the board room without informing anyone.

“I’m so sorry but the boss’s wife is in the hospital, we all know she’s pregnant and she’s giving birth today so this meeting will be shifted to further notice” Alvin explained to the people.

“Oh, tell Mason we are wishing his wife a safe delivery,” one of the clients said and the others nodded with him.

Mason was driving his way to the hospital at full speed, there was a mixture of excitement and worry in his eyes.

He was excited that Skyler was giving birth to the twins, he couldn’t wait to see his children and he was worried because she would be in so much pain and he wanted to be there for her.

There was this truck coming opposite him like it wanted to hit him on purpose, Mason narrowed his eyes and tried turning his truck to the other side but it wouldn’t move.
