“Alvin, how would you know if you love someone?” Mason suddenly asked with a curious look on his face.

This would be the second time Mason would be surprising Alvin with his strange question but Mason was the boss and Alvin had no choice than to answer.

“There are lots of signs, boss but as long as you feel happy and comfortable with your partner and you also see a future between you two then you are in love,” Alvin said and Mason nodded.

“So why were you asking? Is it because of Miss Skyler?” Alvin asked afterwards.

“And when did that turn to what I’m paying you for?” Mason frowned at him.

“But boss you were just..” Alvin wanted to argue but seeing the look Mason was giving him, he kept quiet.

“I’m sorry boss, it’s not my business, I’ll get going now” he bowed a little and walked away with the thought of why Mason would ask him such questions in the first place if he was just going to end up with a reply like this.

Mason leaned his head backwards to rest on his chair as he loosened his tie a little.

“I do feel really happy around her and I do see a future between us. I think I should tell her I love her too” he thought to himself before picking up his phone.

He searched for Skyler and began typing.

He wanted to send it but he found it a bit strange. Skyler confessed her feelings to him face to face so why must he be the coward?

He shook his head and deleted the text. There’s still a lot of time.

“Hey miss Elizabeth” Skyler rushed up to miss Elizabeth who was about to leave the class.

Miss Elizabeth stopped walking and turned to face her.

“I wanted to ask for permission to take an early leave today,” she said with pleading eyes.

“Why are you asking for an early leave today? I hope everything is fine?” Miss Elizabeth looked worried as she stared at Skyler.

She knew Skyler, one of the really hard working fashion designers in the class, so seeing her request for an early leave was a bit strange to her.

“I’m fine trust me, it’s my.. it’s my sister, she’s having her birthday and she lives far away and I have to get there this evening” Skyler couldn’t tell Miss Elizabeth anything about Ivy so this was the best lie she could come up with.

“Oh I didn’t know, my son bakes cake and I would have had him bring some for her” Miss Elizabeth slapped her forehead in a bit of disappointment.

“Please don’t worry about it, it’s fine” Skyler forced a smile.

“Alright but wish her well for me and you can tell Sunny to give you that letter for the leave” Miss Elizabeth said to her before leaving.

Skyler immediately went to Sunny’s office, she was using one of her shoulders to support the telephone she was using to receive a call while typing on her keyboard at the same time.

After sighting Skyler with her side eye, she ended the call.

“Yes? What may I do for you?” She asked and Skyler could only admire the professionalism in her body.

“Miss?” Sunny moved her eyes and Skyler got back to earth.

“Miss Elizabeth, the tutor of the upcoming fashion designers, she gave me permission to take an early leave, I want to leave by 4pm instead of 5pm” Skyler said what she came for.

Sunny nodded and took a yellow card from the desk, she wrote something on it before handing it to Skyler.

“You should give the card to your boss for professional stamping” she advised and Skyler nodded before leaving.

She knocked Mason’s door twice before entering. He was working but he had to look up to see who just entered.

“Skyler” looked happy to see her as he stood up and moved closer to grab her waist.

“Why are you here? You can’t just wait to see me huh?” He smirked at her.

“Haha! I gave you your official stamp on this leave card” she placed the card on his chest.

“Well I’ve been working since morning and I’ve been craving for a kiss, can you give me that?” He pouted his lips as he leaned closer to her but the door opened and Alvin stepped in.

His eyes widened and he immediately turned around.

“I didn’t mean to disturb the boss, I just wanted to remind you that you have a conference meeting in the next thirty minutes” he said and the only thing Mason felt like doing was strangling him.

“Boss I said you have-”

“I’ve heard you now fùck the hell outta here!” Mason snapped and Alvin rushed out without a second thought.

He collected the card from Skyler and stamped it.

“I can’t wait to see how beautiful you look tonight, don’t forget to find a nose mask to match with your dress because you are going as my wife” he told her.

“What? Will there be spotlights on us?” She asked with a surprised face.

“Welcome to my world” Mason smirked before giving her a brief kiss and leaving the office.

Zach was in the middle of a board meeting, currently he was watching one of his staff members deal with a presentation when his assistant entered.

He took a silent excuse before moving towards Zach to whisper in his ears.

“Stop the meeting” Zach ordered immediately and his clients looked at him with surprise.

“Why are you stopping, the presentation was just getting interesting!” One of the rich clients complained.

“Apparently there’s something more important to do” after making this reply, he stood up and rushed out then brought up his phone.

He dialed Edna’s number and placed it in his ears, it rang but she didn’t pick it up. He tried again and she picked.

“Edna! Where are you? Talk to me!!” He said worriedly.

“I… I’m not okay” Edna hiccupped, she sounded like she has been crying.

“Just tell me where you are?” Zach said while rushing towards his car.

“Angel street” Edna sniffed in her tears from the other end and Zach hung up.

He opened his car and got in but his assistant Ben immediately blocked his way.

“Boss, what do you think you’re doing? Why don’t you let me meet her while you resolve your unfinished business with your..” as Ben was talking, Zach drove past him almost hitting him.

Ben had to move back as he watched his boss drive away at full speed.

“He’s really crazy about her,” he sighed to himself.

Edna hung up her phone on Zach and her fake cry turned to a laugh. Zita, who was busy eating some peanuts, just squeezed his face, giving her weird looks.

“One minute crying and the other minute smiling, are you sure you’re okay?” Zita gave her a kind of look.

“I’m fine Zita, it’s just that I fit to be an actress because I’m so good” she replied and stretched her hands out for some peanuts.

Zita rolled his eyes and put some in her hands.

“Yes you’re so good that if you join then you’d be on the A list” he rolled his eyes while sounding sarcastic.

Edna took a peanut shell and broke it then ate the peanut inside her mouth.

“True” she nodded.

Zita smiled and moved his chair closer to her side.

“So why don’t you give me Eddy, what are you planning, what’s this mischievous brain of yours thinking?” He asked with a gossip smile.

Edna smirked and stretched her hands out, urging Zita to give her more peanuts or she wouldn’t talk.

Zita sighed and gave her all his plate of peanuts.

“I gave all of it and I want full details” he said and Edna smiled at him.

She told him everything about her plans to make Zach make Regina fall for him then he breaks her into pieces.

“Sis!!” Zita gasped and Edna nodded with a wide smile.

“I even fooled him by being injured at Angel street. Meanwhile I had some people tamper with Regina’s car so she was stuck there too” she revealed and Zita gasped.

“He rushed over for your sake! What if he likes you?” He asked.

“He can’t but if he does then it would be more easy to manipulate him” she smirked and Zita clicked his tongue at her.

Zach got there, he stopped his car and came then looked around but he couldn’t see any sight of Edna.

He began calling her and she picked.

“Where are you?’ he asked.

“Okay I don’t know how to tell you this but I prank you, PS Regina is in front of you, trying to fix her car and it’s your que to get into her life now” she said and without waiting for his reply, she hung up.
