[Kevin’s Perspective]

“Hey, come here.” Kathy was trying to call someone out of nowhere.

Suddenly, a girl with a short haircut appeared in front of us.

We were actually puzzled if this was real, especially when she started to walk towards us.

This girl shouldn’t be her girlfriend? After all, this can be very controversial.

My eyes followed her just to make sure, then we were shocked when she ran and hugged Kathy tightly.

I was wrong. They really are together.

I saw it. It was not just a simple hug of friendship,

but a more romantic and passionate one.

Kathy kissed the girl’s hand and stared at Andy happily.

The girls admitted that they don’t care what others may think of them.

They really looked deeply in love. I can also sense the glow on Kathy’s face when this girl comes to her. Although she looked comfortable picking on Andy, she looked far more attached to her girlfriend.

He then turned his head on me. “Go ahead and bless her. Their courage is commendable,” he said.

At that exact moment, I know what he already meant.

In fact, he was right. I didn’t dare to sacrifice for Nina. I was a big coward.

I can sense that Andy was already having an idea in mind, and I am ready to accept whatever his decision is.

“What about you? What are your plans?” Kathy asked Andy.

She’s probably afraid that Andy will be sad for her, but I can see in Andy’s eyes that he was happy for them. I know that the only person he ever loved was Nina.

Andy looked firmly into the distance. He was thinking about Nina.

Both Nina and Andy are important to me. I can’t be selfish and own Nina when I have no intentions of settling down with her.

I am very convinced that Andy is for her and not for me, nor for anyone else.

I cannot do anything but let them be happy.

As of now, Nina can still have feelings for me, but I trust that one day she will love Andy as much as she used to like me.

“Are you sure? I would accept that challenge happily,” Andy replied with a smirk on his face.

“Yes. I am serious, and I apologize for everything. I wish you all the best!” I told Andy then bid him goodbye.

[Andy’s Perspective]

As they left, Kevin asked me about Kathy and her past feelings for me.

I was as shocked as he was, but overall I’m happy for both of them.

When they started explaining how they wouldn’t care about others’ judgement, my mind suddenly realized what they meant.

I am not sure if we were the first people to officially know about their relationship.

It took them a lot of guts and courage to come out.

However, I do hope that more people will commend their braveness, including Kathy’s family.

Ever since Nina rejected me, I started to be distant from her.

As we continued to talk, our topic shifted back to Nina.

“Go back to find her, I won’t bother you again in the future. I hope you will be together till the end” Kevin told me.

As I heard those words, my eyes suddenly widened.

Is he for real? Is he really letting me pursue Nina now?

I was having doubts as well, I know for a fact that even if he rejected Nina’s request, she would still have feelings for him. Their love and memories won’t be easily erased instantly.

“Are you sure? I would accept that challenge happily,” I replied with a smirk on my face.

I stared at Kevin and he really looked serious.

At that moment, I realized everything.

I really love Nina and I am willing to go after her.

Even without Kevin’s signal, I would still sail to Greenland to join her.

Maybe she won’t accept me now, but I won’t give up no matter what.

[Nina’s Perspective]

I think I am very happy now. I am no longer alone. I have my family to accompany me, my sister and brother to listen to, and lovely creatures in the sea to play with me.

Why not? After a busy day, I swam in the seabed as a mermaid.

The seawater soaked my body entirely, and the water was clear and cool. Colourful underwater creatures swayed from side to side.

They were soft and lovely. After a while of underwater entertainment,

I felt a little tired and swam to my bed to rest.

Suddenly a big ball hit me and I caught it.

That was a little strange. Something from the land appeared underwater.

I looked around to see who it was then I heard a familiar voice calling me.

“Hi, we meet again, are you all right?” Andy came out of the water with his bare upper body.

I was a little shocked and surprised.

How did he get down under such deep water?

“Ah … Andy? Why and how are you here?” I asked him in extreme curiosity.

“I came here to accompany you. I don’t feel at ease when you are alone here by yourself. I also haven’t seen you for a long time.

I wanted you to know that I missed you very much.”

Andy replied with excitement.

“Well, how did you find me? The water is so deep, you should go up quickly and don’t catch a cold.” I told him worriedly.

In my mind, I am very happy that he came to see me, and I don’t want him to get sick nor drown because of me.

I don’t know what to say about him. Tears in my eyes couldn’t help but flow down. He actually loved me to the point where he gave up his simple life and career.

Andy saw how sad I was and went over to comfort me.

“Why? Isn’t it good if I stay here?” he asked me jokingly.

To think of it, he shouldn’t have come here, I hurt him way too much.

He has his own life and future ahead.

How can he trade that?

“What are you doing here?” I asked him again.

“I just wanted to be with you. I know you can’t accept my feelings for you, but I am with you as a friend for now. You can push me away but please let me be with you, okay? This time, please don’t refuse me again.” His eyes were full of tears as he talked to me. Making me cry as well.

“You have your own life, too. You can’t be like this because of me.” I desperately told him and banged his chest.

It will never be your fault that I traded my life for happiness.

Please, just this time, don’t try to push me away.” Andy looked at me with firm eyes.

I can sense that he was very sincere and concerned with me.

I felt very happy at this moment. Someone has finally chosen to be with me despite the pain that I inflicted on them. I should’ve known that I meant something very special to him. All this time I was the one chasing love and commitment. I was blinded by the idea that only the men that I truly love can make me happy.

I now realized that I was wrong all this time.
