{He’s Just Staring}

Ava drove down the club back door. The parking area is just for official use but Ava had to park there, in order to get away from the paparazzi. Her breathing rate was somehow fast and it got Janice attention.

“Calm down Ava. ” Janice uttered and took her hand. Her face widened in surprise as she looked at their hands.

“What the fuck?! It’s watering… Your hands. ” She shuttered and Ava shut her eyes tightly.

“Its normal, I can’t believe I’m about to do this, in front of celebrities— ”

“I understand, they only come once in a while and mostly, when they visit. They are always in the fifth fall—”

“Fifth floor! ” Ava exclaimed and she chuckled.

“Come on Ava, they are just here to party. Not all the male’s have strippers with them. Janice uttered and got closer to her. More like a move when one is about to whisper in another’s ear.

“Some of them come with girlfriends the internet knows nothing about. ” She whispered, Ava’s eyes widened a bit but it went back in seconds. The back door bursts open and other strippers bow to Ava.

“Janice said you will be representing Madam Nada tonight. Is she not feeling well? Glory asked and she nodded her head. Glory Ring is also a stripper in the club.

“You should have arrived earlier, before the celebrities arrived. I had to welcome them in… Janice knows I can’t face them because of my crush among them. ” She pouted, and she looked close to tears.

“I’m sorry. ” Ava apologized but a voice made them look at the back door entrance.

“Standing here when those important guests have been waiting for Ava Addams… Naomi yelled, the rest rushed in.

“Naomi is the leader here but I’m the boss’s favorite. ” Janice whispered and Ava chuckled.

“You should come with me Ava –”

“Ma’am. ” Ava interrupted her words.

“Sorry? ” She looked confused.

“You know, I don’t want you around me… I will be fine with Janice around me. ” She uttered, Janice gasped and Naomi smirked.

“I understand. ” She chuckled and turned around.

“That was cool. ” Janice complimented me and took her hand.

“We should head to the elevator and get you to the fifth floor. ” That being said, she took Ava’s hand and they walked inside the club. All through their walk till the elevator, Ava kept looking at everyone as they did their thing.

“Is this how it gets busy everyday? Ava finds herself asking as they enter the elevator. Janice lips wide apart in a warm smile.

“Yeah. Everyday, this is the boss ‘ second club but not the first.. the first club is bigger than this. ”

“Yeah, I know… But I heard the first club is busier than this and she hardly goes there. ” Ava wondered.

“Because of you… She told me, she doesn’t want you to feel —”

(Ding) the elevator sound interrupted Janice’s words.

“We’re gonna talk about this another time but now, you are here… Don’t stutter Ava, introduce yourself and ask them how they are fearing… Crack jokes, make them smile… ” She mumbled as she locked hands with Ava. All what Ava could do was to stare at her how her lips kept moving.

“In short, I shouldn’t flip right… I should just talk to them like the boss and be real. ” Ava asked and she nodded. Janice walked her to the door while she stayed behind her. Ava looked back but Janice let out an encouraging smile to her and she took a deep breath.

Ava POV

I want to turn around and say I can’t do it. My first time I will face famous celebrities I do watch on TV, news, reality shows and interviews… I’m gonna see them for real today, this minute, like right now. Luckily, Janice will be behind me, to support me and let out those charming smiles of hers.

I looked back and smiled at me, I released a long deep breath as I touched the door knob and shut my eyes… I clear my throat and turn to look at Janice.

“Are they sitting on a long table with chairs like that in movies? ” I find myself asking a dumb question.

“No, on a single cushion… The cushion is not one but many and the room is kinda large… Full of comedians, artists, models, famous people, famous for what they do… Some aren’t famous but they are richer than those celebrities… Some are politicians’ kids and spoilt daughters.. Hope you understand what I’m trying to explain Ava. ” She explained and I nodded.

I adjusted my gown. “Do I look good? ” I asked Janice, having my back at her.

“You do Ava. ” Naomi replied and turned to look at her.

“You shouldn’t face her, Ava. Open that damn door. ” She uttered with this orderly tone.

“Don’t argue with her. Hold yourself from yelling…. ” Janice comforting words sink deep in my head.

“Get out of here, else, you will find your way out of this club forever. ” I uttered with this bossy voice and my face looked so horrible. I guess she wasn’t expecting those words from me.

Anyway, that’s not stopping from kicking her useless ass out of this club. For the fact that she had to challenge my voice.

“Are you fine Ava? ” Janice asked with her hand on my shoulders.

“Yeah, I’m fine now. I’m ready to go in. ” I mumbled and she opened the door knob silently.

“Is it like Nadaline representative has arrived? ” A voice said into the mic. I walked closer and my eyes came in contact with men. What I mean by men isn’t just ordinary men. The pronunciation of the men is heavy on my lips. I stretched my hand for a mic and I was offered one.

“I would like to correct the person that said representative to announce my presence here. ” I uttered and my face looked serious… Leaving back my fears, anxiety, everything.. I decided to face them like a boss’ daughter.

“My name is Ava Addams, I’m Nadaline daughter, only daughter… So, right now, I would like the person to welcome me properly. ” I uttered and they looked speechless..

“It’s nice to have you here Ava Addams… ” Rucker Marshall said into the mic and smiled at him. But then my gaze came in contact with someone I have a huge crush on.
