Chapter 87 Come Here, I’ll Give You A Piggyback

At this moment, Euan felt like a stranger she had never known before. Or rather, she never got to know

his true self in the past.

They were from two different worlds. He was too doughty, too far-fetched from her.

Riley wiped away the sweat on her face and the blood on the corner of her lips as she changed the

topic, “You really went there yourself? You didn’t call the cops?”

What nonsense was this! Didn’t she see that Euan was indeed alone?

Euan responded lightly like he was doubting her intelligence, but his gaze was fixed on the woman in

the reflector.

When they were speeding earlier, Riley had knocked the reflector astray, and coincidentally, Euan

cheeks were still swollen

move, both of them would have been shot to death. However, Euan’s every move was accurate to the

Euan released the steering wheel and leaned back gently into his seat, placing his arm in between the

both of them as he tapped his fingers. If one were to look at them from the side, it looked like Euan

leaned towards her side.

“Money makes the world go around. Plus, it was the truth.”

He said casually, but Riley immediately turned towards him, “What? You mean the cancer diagnosis is

real?”

His heart stopped for a beat. Her voice was obviously laced with concern for him.

Euan narrowed his eyes slightly and avoided the question, “Don’t you have anything else to tell me?

Other than getting a divorce.”

They experienced life and death together, and Euan was sure that Riley felt something for him. Even if

she was cold-hearted, she should at least feel touched, right?

Riley put some thought into his question. She was sincerely concerned about him, but she doubted him

as well. How could he get cancer out of the blue?

So, she spoke from the perspective of a doctor, “I need to look at the stage of your cancer and how fast

the cancer cells are spreading to design a treatment plan.”

For fuck’s sake!

Euan wanted to choke her to death at this moment! What was the problem with this woman?!

But no matter what, it was better than bringing up the subject of divorce, “What are you thinking of?”

Riley turned to look at him, “What?”

After everything that happened earlier; being poisoned, an intense fight, and escaping death, her eyes

were a little bloodshot now. It was good enough that she was still alive.

“What were you thinking of when you were kidnapped and were on the brink of death?”

with slight fatigue, accompanied by anticipation for her answer.

What was on her mind? Could she be honest and tell him she didn’t want him to come, yet she wanted

present, and the future. It felt that a century had passed by.

“What could I possibly think of? My mind was black from the shock.”

What else could Euan say? This woman had her mind set already.

Although Riley did not want Euan to know her true feelings, she hoped to hear something from him.

Euan widened his eyes and locked eyes with her for a moment, “How can there be such an idiot in this

world?”

He arranged for his bodyguards to guard her at the hospital, but she actually ran out with no regard for

her life. He wanted to use her as bait to attract the mastermind, but it turned another way around.

Riley gritted her teeth, “Thanks, Euan.”

“Get out.”

Euan didn’t want to continue with the conversation, which might cause him to die from irritation. He

opened the door and stepped down from the car, his tall and well-built silhouette could be seen

amongst the plants.

“Now? Why don’t we just drive the car back?”

Euan lifted his chin and motioned her to look at the exterior of the car.

It was only now that Riley realized there were a lot of bullet holes and marks on the car. It looked

severely damaged all over, and if they drove this car into the city, it will definitely gather the strange

looks from onlookers.

Well, she could only get down then.

When she got out of the car, her legs felt like jelly from her exhaustion and lack of energy.

In fact, Euan did not want to bring her unnecessary trouble because of the car. Otherwise, he would

never walk as long as the car still has its wheels attached to it.

Walking…seemed like an interesting experience.

They have never walked side by side together on the streets before and today was their opportunity to

do so.

Riley was speechless.

Did Euan want her to compensate him? If he mentioned it, how should she reply? It was 5 billion Yuan,

an amount of money she could never get in this life.

So she might as well bring it up first, “You deserve it, dumbass!”

Euan didn’t explain himself further and just thought to himself, “I wonder who is the dumb one here.”

The conversation ended, and Euan continued to stride ahead of her.

Surely, Riley couldn’t keep up. The more they walked, the further she was left behind. Now, he was

Initially, Riley was admiring him from the back while walking. He was like a piece of art, and no matter

When Riley was bending down and gasping for air, a tall figure suddenly stood in front of her, blocking

the sunlight from reaching her.

She didn’t raise her head but saw a pair of Armani leather shoes which were covered with a layer of

dust before her. Her gaze moved up along his pants, and the sight of Euan’s sharp look and perfectly

crafted face entered her view.

Why did he come back?

“Come here. You’re too slow.”

The dominant, overbearing man suddenly squatted down with his back to her. His black, tailor-made

Italian suit was slightly wrinkled by now, but it did not diminish any of his dashing demeanor at all.

‘Huh?” Riley’s mouth was dry as if she had eaten a bowl of sand.

“Get on here. I’m rushing.”

Riley gritted her teeth, and in an attempt to protect her pride, she said, “I can walk by myself!”

“Come up here! Do you want to get caught by them again?”

“I…”

“Cat got your tongue? I won’t pity you just because you’re stupid every time.”

What the hell!

It wasn’t a big deal anyway, so she’ll just let him piggyback her. For a man as arrogant as Euan to

piggyback her, this had to be shocking news to everyone.

She would just do as he wished.

Riley climbed onto Euan’s back and circled her arms around his neck. A scent of the surrounding soil

Euan used his muscular arms to lift Riley’s legs a little. She was really skinny and felt as light as a

feather on his back.

Riley gritted, “The girls who are lighter than 50 kilograms are either flat-chested or short.”

occasionally spare her some of his gentleness, she would be content with happiness.

Euan said those words naturally and had no change in his expression or his tone at all.

Riley held onto his neck tighter, “That’s because you’re blind.”

He leaned back a little from her attack. She was shocked and immediately released him.

who caused him pain?

Euan didn’t finish his sentence.

He strolled with Riley on his back as they passed the beautiful flowers which bloomed in early summer.

With the sun that was shining on him, he was starting to sweat. During the walk, Riley slipped down

from his back a few times, but he lifted her again.

“Idiot.”

There was no reply from her. Euan called her again, even so, he got nothing in response.

He stopped for a while and looked back. Riley had already fallen asleep on his back.

Her long and thick eyelashes cast a shadow on her face, which pressed lightly on his back. She was

sleeping in peace.

“Do you know how worried I was when I saw you in that state?”

Euan mumbled to himself as he started to feel the weight of Riley on her.

He had been carrying her on his back for two hours.

“If I was the one who was kidnapped today, I bet you would be happy, right? Riley Watson, you’re such

a cruel woman.”
