Chapter 99 Melissa Is Stunning

“Of course not!” Melissa suddenly pushed Murray away and said firmly, “Murray, last time at the old house, I told you that I wasn’t Lily. I am not her substitute!”

Murray felt somewhat frustrated and nodded. “Let’s go home.”

In the Charm Bar.

Bruce and some friends drank in the private room.

Alayna followed Bruce to the Charm Bar.

“Bruce,” Alayna pushed open the door and walked in.

“What are you doing here?” Bruce frowned.

“Bruce, why are you avoiding me these days?” Alayna sat beside Bruce and felt sad. “You neither answer my call nor show up in the hotel whenever I go there.”

“We’ve broken up,” Bruce said coldly.

“No, Bruce. Don’t be so heartless!! Alayna leaned on Bruce and said, “Did you forget the happy moments when we were together? Bruce, you said you would love me forever. You can’t be so heartless.”

“Alayna, I remind you that we broke up!” Bruce pushed Alayna away impatiently.

“Why? Bruce, why are you so heartless?” Alayna’s eyes were red as she looked at Bruce.

She thought, No, I won’t accept it. We were so intimate before. Bruce never would have broken up with me those days. He is so heartless now.

It’s Melissa’s fault.

If not for Melissa, how could Bruce want to break up with me?

“Alayna, I don’t want to see you again,” Bruce stood up and said coldly. Then, he walked out without looking back.

Alayna chased after Bruce and grabbed his arm. “Bruce, don’t be so ruthless. Give me another chance, I beg you … We will be as intimate as before…”

“Enough! Stop following me!” Bruce withdrew his arm impatiently and left.

Alayna lost her balance and fell to the ground. She was in a mess. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

In the distance, Adela and Julie walked into the bar.

“Isn’t that Alayna?” Adela’s gaze fell on Alayna.

“Yes. Why is she so miserable!” Julie nodded.

“The more miserable she is, the better.” Adela’s eyes glistened.

“Adela, you mean…” Julie realized something.

“Let’s go and have a look.” Adela smiled.

Just as Alayna was about to get up, a woman’s voice was heard. “Ms. Nash, are you okay?”

Alayna looked up and saw Adela, who extended her hand to Alayna.

“Thank you. I’m fine.” Alayna held Adela’s hand and stood up.

“Ms. Nash, what’s wrong? Why are you in such a mess?” Julie stepped forward and asked with feigned concern.

Thinking of Bruce’s indifference and heartlessness to her, Alayna felt a lump in her throat and her eyes became wet. “Bruce wants to break up with me…”

“Why?” Adela asked despite knowing the answer.

“Melissa Eugen! It’s all because of Melissa Eugen.” Alayna gritted her teeth. “If not for her, how could Bruce break up with me?”

“So, it’s because of Melissa.” Julie looked as if she had suddenly realized something. “She is good at seducing men. Ms. Nash, that’s easy. As long as Bruce sees through Melissa, he will get back together with you.”

“You’re right!” Alayna said as jealousy and malice flashed in her eyes. “Melissa, I won’t let you get

away with it.”

Adela smiled as she said casually, “In two days, the Gibson Corporation will hold a press conference for the ‘Ice and Fire’ jewelry series. It is said that it’s hosted by Melissa…”

In two days.

Alayna clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, “Melissa Eugen, let’s wait and see. I will let Bruce see through you.”

Two days passed quickly. It’s time for the press conference to be held.

On this day, Melissa woke up early in the morning. After washing up, she went downstairs to the

living room and saw Murray sitting on the sofa.

He wore a suit and tie. His hair was neat. He was so handsome that one couldn’t take their eyes off

him.

“Morning.” Murray looked up at Melissa when he saw her coming downstairs.

Atter breakfast, Melissa sat in Murray’s car but found that they didn’t head for the Gibson Corporation.

Melissa looked out the window. “You are not going to the company, right?”

Murray said, “No.”

“Where are we going?” Melissa was a little curious. The press conference would be held in the afternoon. She wondered where Murray took her.

“You’ll know soon.” Murray glanced at her.

Ten minutes later, Murray parked the car in front of a boutique.

Melissa got out of the car and looked at the golden signboard of the shop, ANA.

ANA was an haute couture store that many rich ladies would visit.

As soon as Murray got out of the car, the manager immediately greeted him and said respectfully, “Mr. Gibson, welcome.”

“Let’s go in,” Murray spoke calmly as he led Melissa inside.

“Ms. Eugen, this way, please. We are all ready.” The manager smiled and walked to Melissa.

Melissa understood that Murray took her here to do the styling.

It seemed that he valued the press conference very much.

Melissa nodded and followed the manager into the dressing room.

When Melissa walked out again, everyone was stunned.

Murray gazed at her, and he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Melissa wore a red sleeveless dress. Her curvaceous body, her fair skin, her long hair falling over her shoulders, and her sparkling eyes made her elegant and dazzling.

“Do I look good?” Seeing Murray gazing at her, Melissa smiled.

Murray recovered himself and replied, “You’re pretty.”

At two in the afternoon, the “Ice and Fire” press conference was held on time.

The press conference was held in the luxurious conference room on the 18th floor of the Gibson

Corporation.

Melissa checked the room last time and everything was ready.

She looked at her watch. It was ten til two.

There was only ten minutes left.

The attendees were all famous, including Vivian, Jaylin, and the big shots in the jewelry industry like Murray

The Gibson Corporation attached much importance to this press conference.

The reporters scrambled for the best position and excitedly waited for the press conference, afraid of missing the first-hand news.

At two o’clock, the press conference officially began. Melissa walked up to the stage in the front.
