Chapter 7
Chapter 7
After a while, she recovered.
“This is… that vile spawn? She’s grown up so much now?”
Since Sylvie was usually an energetic child, she replied cheerfully to Adeline after thinking she was
Patricia’s friend.
“Yeah, I’m five years old, and I have two older brothers who are also five years old. We are
triplets!”
In a fit of panic, Patricia quickly covered Sylvie’s mouth. She didn’t want Adeline to know this.
Unfortunately, Sylvie was a loquacious child and couldn’t keep secrets.
“Triplets?” Adeline was more shocked. “You sure are amazing. No, it should be that the old man is
amazing. It’s no wonder you wear such tacky clothes. It’s not easy to raise three children, am I
right?”
She couldn’t help but let thoughts run through her mind as she spoke. So what’s the big deal that
Patricia is still alive? She’s nothing but the mud in the ground now, while I will soon be the young
mistress of the Arnolds. That’s an existence that she will never be able to claim ties with! Once she
thought of this, she didn’t hide the triumphant look on her face.
Sylvie first looked at her facial expression. Then, she looked at Patricia’s facial expression. At that
moment, she felt that Adeline didn’t seem to be Patricia’s friend.
Slightly angered, Sylvie pursed her lips and rolled those beautiful big eyes a little. Then, at once, a
mischievous idea came across her mind. So, she slid off the chair and grabbed Adeline’s white
dress with her oily little hands.
“Your dress is so pretty!” How dare you criticize Tricia for being tacky! You’re the old-fashioned
one! Take that! I’ll stain your dress!
Adeline screamed when she saw her ruined dress, “What are you doing?! Do you know how
expensive this dress is?!”
With that, she raised her hand and wanted to slap Sylvie. Nevertheless, Patricia grabbed her wrist
and stopped her.
An enraged Adeline scolded, “Patricia! This b*stard is as annoying as you!”
As soon as she finished speaking, Patricia slapped her in the face. “Adeline, watch out for your
words! You’re the b*stard!”
In the meantime, Adeline was a little stunned after getting slapped. When she came back to her
senses, she was instantly angered. How dare this b*tch slap me! Thus, she went mad and tried to
pull Patricia’s hair savagely. Nonetheless, Patricia pushed her away forcefully, which resulted in
Adeline staggering backward as she fell. Not only that, she even slammed into the server’s tray,
and the soup spilled all over her.
At that moment, Adeline felt utterly terrible. When she turned around, her eyes were full of hatred.
Therefore, she charged at Patricia as she lost herself in her anger. “Bring it on, Patricia!”
Patricia dodged her, making her throw herself on Liam. The force pushed Liam to retreat several
steps and he almost bumped into Isaac.
“President Arnold, did I knock into you?” he asked, looking nervous.
Then, he scolded, “Where does this crazy woman come from? Can’t she see what kind of place
we’re at? She almost ran into President Arnold!”
When Adeline heard this, she looked up with her hair in a messy state. Then, her eyes slightly
propped up, and she quickly took a few steps back. Shortly after, she pointed to Patricia, who
wasn’t far away.
“Ise, she bullied me.”
After hearing that, Isaac looked over and saw a woman. The woman was wearing an off-white
sweater and a pair of skinny blue jeans today. Although she was dressed casually, she looked
gorgeous today compared to the helter-skelter appearance in the hospital that day.
At that moment, he found the woman mesmerizing, especially that pair of big round eyes that were
as bright as the stars in the night sky.
He was stunned, and when he looked into her eyes, he felt a sense of familiarity. It was like they
had known each other for a very long time.
When Adeline saw he didn’t speak and seemed stunned, she approached him. “Ise, you’re my
fiancé. So, you have to help me to vent my grievances.”
Isaac glanced at her lightly when he heard her demands.
“Miss Aniston, you’re quite fast in getting into your role.” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
For a moment, Adeline was a little flustered. She was afraid that he would tell everyone that their
relationship was fake. If that happened, the pretense that she put up in front of Patricia would be
blown.
Sylvie was disappointed when she saw the handsome Isaac, who resembled her brother, being
acquainted with Adeline. Hence, her dramatic side instantly surfaced and she trotted to Adeline’s
side.
“I’m sorry, Granny. I didn’t mean to stain your dress. Don’t hit me, and don’t hit my mommy, okay?”
