Chapter 11 Feverishly delicious
Jessica
I can’t believe that he was here, that he kissed me and that I was wanting more.
Sleep Jess, forget about him…
My mind takes me back to our last phone conversation. I can’t believe that he called, though I did wait for the call. But I thought he was just being nice when he said he’d call.
It felt like we talked for the longest, work has been the main conversation. But we also talked about dating, how he’d take me out on one and he did ask me but I was making vague excuses easily since we were talking on the phone.
Resisting him was easy especially when it’s done via phone, but I wouldn’t know how to resist him when I saw him tomorrow at the office.
My eyes were heavy when I decided to put my Kindle down and rest my head deeper onto the fluffy pillows.
“Jess,”
He was suddenly there, his kisses were sweet and I was back to grabbing on his shirt. I was breathless under his touch, he was kissing me deeper, telling me how beautiful I looked in his eyes.
His sweet words tempted me, his hands arouses me and his kisses went down my neck making me moaned his name louder.
I was unbuttoning his shirt he was taking off my top and latched onto my nipples seductively. My mind was hazy when I looked at his manly carved body. His muscles were lean yet looked strong, and strangely I was not afraid of him.
My hands were unbuckling his belt and his pants were off within seconds, and I can’t believe the sounds that were coming out of my mouth the moment he was between my legs and started going down on me.
He was licking me softly, playing me, seducing me with his tongue, kisses me playfully. I was seeing my legs wrapped his naked back sexily, I was keeping him where I wanted him, and he looked like he didn’t want to let me go anytime soon.
“Tyler…”
His tongue caresses me in ways he knows how I wanted to be pleasured, how I needed him to make me come, desperately. My hands grasping his short strands eagerly wanting him to take me there.
So close… so fucking close until…
Beep… beep… beep…
“Fuck!”This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
My alarm decided to wake me up, and there I was in my bed, alone, with my hand between my legs and my other hand grasping the sheets.
What I feel next was the throbbing pain from the stitches. I was grasping the sheets too strong and there’s nothing I can do but get up and took a shower. A very cold one.
I reached the office an hour later, not in a good mood. Kayleigh greeted me in her cheerful manner and all I can say to her was that I was having a hangover.
Well, at least I didn’t lie. I was a hangover because of the freaking alarm.
My morning was spent with Kayleigh typing in front of me, while I would occasionally look to my side wondering what he was doing in his office. And my mood was getting worse when I saw his assistant was still looking at me like I’ve stolen her boyfriend.
Don’t worry, he’s safe. There won’t be anything between us. The kiss was a fluke, a mistake repeatedly made…
“Boss, hey… are you sure you’re okay?”
“Sorry, I’m just not feeling well.”
“Yeah, you feel a bit warm, let me get you some breakfast, have you had your pain meds?” Kayleigh gazed at my bandage then put her hand on my forehead, she has always been like a big sister to me since my thing with Troy.
“I’ll do brunch in an hour, let’s just finish this first.”
I did forget to have breakfast with the morning that I had, I just couldn’t shake the image of him tasting me, locking his lips, having me…
“Jess?”
“Yeah, sorry…”
We were back to setting appointments with our top clients, I was a good financial advisor but Dad had always been best at his job. He had few people under him that are very good at what they do. And it’s been a miracle that they decided to stay with us, though we lost several big clients along the way but we still managed to keep dad’s loyal clients under our wing.
“Oh, I almost forgot Mr. MacMillan is moving up his appointment to eleven-thirty,”
“MacMillan, the dad or the son?”
“I’m afraid both, rumor has it that MacMillan senior is thinking about moving back to Scotland and have an early retirement, his son will handle his business here.”
I sighed remembering that his son was quite close to my dead brother, Troy.
“Maybe you should take Tyler and Larry in this meeting?”
Kayleigh knew about MacMillan junior and his interest in me, and she doesn’t like the way he looked at me.
“No, I’ll handle this, I need to smooth out everything before introducing them to the Richardsons.”
“Are you sure?”
Kayleigh knows about the issue I have with his son, how he would make remarks about me and give me looks and inappropriate touches whenever his dad was not looking.
“Kay, I got this. Just order my brunch and I’ll eat after my meeting.”
She was silent, shook her head, and back to typing before she dismissed herself to go to her desk and carry on with her work.
My door was knocked, and I looked at my watch. I realized that it’s time for the meeting but I didn’t expect Tyler would be the one who’d come and get me for it. The man looked handsome in his white expensive-looking shirt, his navy suit hangs perfectly on his tall manly body.
He must’ve seen my questioning look when he continued talking.
“Don’t blame Kayleigh, I was cc’d on all of your schedules. I decided to sit in on the MacMillan’s, I’ve met Mason last week, I thought I welcome him to the company.”
I gazed at his perfect straight tie and all I want to do was to pull and take him down to kiss me.
Focus, Jess…
“Oh, okay…”
The sight of him, made my body felt warmer. I know I must be blushing, but he was not looking at me while his assistant burst into my office and gave him documents to sign before he sits in on my meeting.
The voluptuous woman was giving me her deadly stare but was gone within moments.
“You looked flushed, are you not feeling well?” he was about to touch my forehead when I backed away.
His closeness was not going to make me feel better, I know for sure it’ll spike up my heart rate. The vision of him going down on me was coming back, the dream was messing with my insides that I cleared my throat and took my glass of water from the sudden thirst.
“I’ll be fine,”
“Well come on then.”
He didn’t look convinced but held out his hand for me, I took another drink and follow his lead.
Mason and his son were already seated in the meeting room, Tyler walks in full confidence like he always does and greeted the MacMillans and praises me for my previous work with their account. I have never been praised for my work in my entire life, clients seem to like my work but I thought they’re just happy because they’re not losing money because of me.
“You’re right she’s too precious, but now that you’ve taken her under your company I’m sure great things will follow.”
MacMillan junior gets up and puts his hand to my shoulder inappropriately when his dad was not looking. Mason was reading the newest report that I’ve provided them when we entered the meeting room.
But I can see Tyler’s eyes on me when I flinched to Brodie’s touch. I was frozen when MacMillan junior was sneakily rubbing my shoulder down to my back.
“Yes, I will personally oversee the MacMillan account since you have informed me about your early retirement.”
Tyler looks at me then decided to speak out for me, his words didn’t make Brodie happy. He took Mason’s attention back to the surroundings and his son takes his hand off me.
“… you have nothing to worry about my dear friend, I know for sure we will take care of your account.”
Tyler was mocking the young MacMillan, and Brodie was not liking it that he sits back and I can finally sigh.
The meeting lasted for another hour where we discussed the operations of my company under the Richardson’s. Mason has always been nice and patient with me and that day he was showing me that he was going to missed my meetings.
“You’re just like your dad, I know you don’t think yourself that way but you are Jessica. You work hard for this and have come a long way. There’s so much you can learn, I’m sure you’re going to do just that with the Richardson.”
“Mason, I’m going to miss you.” I decided to hug him, he was one of my dad’s first clients and he never doubted me when I took over the company.
Brodie didn’t try anything further as he saw Tyler was to my back. But I was feeling something else when they leave and left me alone with him.
“Don’t you ever have a meeting with Brodie alone.”
“I can take care of him.” I backed away from him, his skin felt so warm on mine I didn’t want to risk myself getting closer to him. I suddenly remembered his tongue twirling between my legs and it made me gasped when he put his hand on my forehead.
“I’m taking you back, Kayleigh was right you feel feverish.”
“I… I’m okay,” but I almost lost my footing when he put his hand on my arm.
“No, you’re definitely not.”
“You’re taking the day off, walk with me or I will carry you back.”
He was giving me the choice to walk, at least… and that was what I chose. The whole floor was secretly looking at me being held by Tyler and I let him put his arm around my body because I couldn’t walk.
“Boss, your meds, and your brunch are in there.” Kayleigh showed up in front of the elevator giving me my purse to Tyler.
“She hasn’t had breakfast and her meds?”
“Tyler I’m right here!” I rolled my eyes at him while Kayleigh smiled and look like she was about to blurt out my whole life story in one go.
But he didn’t say another word when his hand took my purse, while the other hand caresses my waist higher making me almost lost my footing again.
“I already called the driver he’ll meet you both in the lobby. Thank you for doing this for her…” Kayleigh’s smile was irritatingly wide, but then the elevator door suddenly closes and leaves us in seclusion.
“Do I have to set a timer for your meal?” he looked upset, but instead of scaring me, he was making me mad.
“Do not treat me like a child.”
“I won’t if you’d stop acting like one, why is it so difficult for you to eat breakfast?”
“I was late! the alarm woke me up! I was in the middle of my freaking dream!” I blurted out the words, then felt my cheeks blushed intensely.
Damn it!
He smirked but didn’t say another word when the elevator door open and his hand was to my back again holding me loosely and ushered me to the lobby.
“I’m good, you can go back to the office.”
“What? no way, I’m making sure you eat and I want to hear about this dream.” He whispered huskily in my ear making me shuddered.
Somehow he knew, somehow he fucking knew that I was dreaming about him.
