D's PoV

I smiled at her even though she smirked at me. I can’t be rude to the guests. That too when I don’t know who it is?!!! Rishi came down the stairs and Ravi came in behind the new lady at the same time. I could see the shock on their faces. She didn’t pay any attention to Ravi. But the emotion she held for Rishi in her eyes is very intense and true. This struck my heart and I felt pain.I know who she is now. SMIRTHI!

What is My Husband going to do now? Why is she here now? That too on a day when my husband is angry at me for no apparent reason? Will that cloud his decisions?

D hold yourself up! You can’t let her know that you are scared of her now. He is your husband. You have seen his love for you in his eyes.

Yeah yeah! I should be positive....

Before I finish thinking about being positive, Rishi just held her hand and took her out of the house to the lawn shattering all my hopes. He didn’t ask her to go out. He didn’t get angry at her for what she did. He didn’t even show a glint of aversion for her in his eyes. My husband is sure a peculiar person, he didn’t get angry at me when I barged into his life and now he is not angry at her for leaving him in the wedding hall abruptly. Why is he taking her to our lawn? He doesn't want me to hear what they are going to talk about?

Now I am all scared of my life. What is going to happen now? What if she manages to compromise him? What if Rishi thinks her reason for disappearance to be valid? Tears brimmed my eyes. He just showed his anger to me when I did nothing wrong. But he held her hands in front of me when he had all the right reasons to be angry with her!?

Am I imagining things!? I feel all things go blur in my view.

Ravi's PoV

I don’t know what the hell is happening. Before I shout at her to go out, my bro took her to our lawn? They are talking. We could see them from the door-step. My bro is being an ass**le. My anni is all in shock and with the tears in her eyes, I guess she figured out who she is.

She was about to faint when I caught hold of her. I took her to the couch and made her sit. I ran in to get some water. I sat beside her and gave her some water to drink. She is all sober now. But she started crying.

I can understand her feelings. But she doesn’t have to worry about Smirthi. I have seen the love for anni in bro's eyes. He must be inquiring about what happened to her. I'm sure he will ask her to go away.I should now make anni understand that. She doesn't have to be scared for her life.

"Anni! Please don’t cry. Actually, you don’t have to cry now. He is sure to send her away. You are his wif...." she cut me off.

"Please Ravi! Don’t say anything. Just be with me."

She just grabbed my hand and sat in silence. I can see her trembling fingers and welling eyes. I don’t understand what is taking so long for my fuc**ng brother to send her away. Can’t he just think how will my anni feel about all this? I'm so ready to knock some sense into my brother's thick skull.

"Anni please! I have seen the kind of intimacy you both share. He is in love with you anni. Not her." I tried telling her to not lose hope.

"It's all our assumptions, Ravi. Nothing has come out of your brother's mouth. At Least not yet. Just like Shanu said, it's all my assumptions. He just took her hands in front of me, Ravi. I couldn't even see any anger in his eyes. My heart is pounding. I feel something that tells me it’s no good!"

She is crying. That bitch made my anni cry? I'm going to show her her place. My anni looks so tired and worried. She just leaned on my shoulders and closed her eyes, still holding my hands for her dear life. I can't see her like this. She keeps the home lively after so many years.

Though she is a sleepy head, she cooks for us. She keeps the pooja room in all its glory after my mom. Though Chinna was doing it before, my anni has this girl touch with everything. Her presence is what is making my dad's health condition better. He even comes home for lunch just because of her. My dad laughs wholeheartedly after she has come home. She eases his business pressure by her silly talks and playfulness. My dad plays ludo and snake & ladders with her in the evenings after snacks. She cheats him to win. She is nothing but a grown kid my dad says.

She is our blessing. She is a simple girl without any artificial extras. No one in this goddamn house has the right to bring tears to her eyes. My brother came in with her? He didn’t send her away? What the hell? He just went to his room. She smirks at me. How dare she?!

"Don't look at me that way, Ravi. You should have known that it will always be me with your brother. And she!?"

She looks at my anni with full hatred in her eyes. My poor anni is just looking at her with lifeless eyes when she continued to talk."She can be all yours. I see you like her more....Ahhh!"

What just happened? Before I responded to her filthy mouth, my anni just slapped her. Serves her right. I am now smiling at her. Smirthi looks at my anni in total shock. She probably didn’t expect my anni to react this way. She must have thought that she can have her ways with my bro without any hindrance, But my anni showed her that she can be fierce.

I love my anni. I thought she was a timid shy girl. But she is fierce just like my Anvi.

"Danya!" My brother's voice boomed from the stairs. He is now coming with his changed clothes and car key.

"Behave yourself. Apologize to her right now." bro told anni. My brother has gone nuts.

"But she talked..." He cut her before she finished her sentence.

"Apologize!" he stood on his words. That's it. I can't see all this nonsense anymore.

"My anni is not apologizing to that filthy bitch. Just ask her what did she do for my anni to slap her." I told him and turned to my anni and said, "come on, anni. we will go to my

room."

I took my anni's hand and led her to the stairs when my bro held her other hand and stopped us.

"You are not going anywhere before you apologize. You are not disobeying me." he said sternly.

"You are not in your right mind. Stop this nonsense already bro." I am tired of his stupidness.

Before I talk further my anni just held my hands tight making me stop. All this while Smirthi has that satisfying smile on her lips which makes me think to slap her hard again.

D's PoV

He wants me to apologize to her. He doesn’t want to hear anything I have to say. He is all dressed up again and that says he is going out with her. WITH HER! His strong hold on me starts to give me pain but that is nothing as compared to the pain he is giving to my heart now. I feel like Rishi is crushing my poor heart under his feet.

I withheld my tears. I'm not going to let them fall in front of her. I'm not that weak. I should also save my self-respect. I can’t do whatever he says. After all, I didn’t do anything wrong. I pulled my hands away from him.

"I did no wrong to apologize to your girlfriend. I can disobey you if you are not going to hear both sides. And I don’t intend to explain myself to you now. And remember, I'm your wife. You are so not going out with her now before uncle comes home." I snatched the keys from him and went in with Ravi with my head held high. Ravi is a true friend. He stood up for me. He has this victory smile on his face now that makes me feel proud of myself.

Rishi just stands there without any movement. Maybe he thought I would apologize to her. I may be naive. But I'm not stupid.
