My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1349

Skylar hadn't expected Joe to be so considerate, thinking of sending her the menu in advance so she could choose. This small gesture brought back memories of their past together, making her feel like she was stepping back in time.

The traffic jam was most likely caused by an accident. Otherwise, it wouldn't have come to a complete stall.

As she waited in the traffic, Skylar browsed the menu and picked a few dishes-some she liked and some she knew Joe enjoyed.

She wondered how authentic the dishes would be.

Some restaurants had adapted their recipes to local tastes, making significant changes so that the dishes, while having the same name as they had back in Jipsburg, tasted quite different.

"Just these?" Joe asked.

Skylar replied, "Have you been to this restaurant before? How's their tomato-basil fish stew?"

She had a craving for fish stew and hoped it would be delicious.

"I haven't tried it here, but we can give it a go," Joe replied.

"Sounds good," she said, deciding it was worth trying.

Veronica was actually a fantastic cook, and during the three years Skylar had been in Murida, she hadn't had the chance to cook herself often.

However, Veronica wasn't well-versed in spicy food. With Gloria's tastes in mind, she usually made dishes that were light and mild. Skylar would only cook something spicy for herself when she had a particular craving.

Thinking back on those three years and scrolling through her chat with Joe, she suddenly felt as if those years had been a dream, almost like they hadn't really happened.

The honk from a car behind snapped her back to reality-the traffic had cleared.

Within minutes, she arrived at the restaurant. Skylar walked straight inside after parking her car.

Three of the dishes they ordered had

already been served in the private room. She had worried about the flavor, but judging by the colors and aroma, they seemed authentic and likely delicious.

"Have a seat," Joe said.

Seeing Skylar's interest in the food as she entered, he smirked slightly. It seemed that she was quite a foodie.

But despite having a big appetite, she was still so slender. Her waist looked so small that he felt he could practically wrap his arm around it. Skylar hummed a response before sitting down. "Are you hungry?"

She hadn't noticed the time when she arrived, but it was already half an hour later than their planned meeting time. The traffic had been absurd. "Not really," he replied.

Skylar nodded. "Me too. Have you been to this restaurant before?"

"A few times," Joe answered.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Skylar smiled and felt reassured. If Joe had been there multiple times, then the food there must have been pretty good to have won his approval. Once all the dishes were served, they began eating quietly.

After a while, Joe broke the silence. "Why are you so sure that I'm Joe Martin?"

Skylar looked up at him. "Everything

pointed to you being Joe. So, there's no doubt about it. I'm sure you've looked into Ned Sowle, right? Knowing you, you would have also checked into Joe Martin.

"The two of you have completely different personalities. Take Ned, for example. He had a foreign accent, but you spoke flawlessly. Also, as mentioned before, he was

near sighted, while you have

excellent vision.

"Looking past your appearance, you're completely different people."

She looked at the familiar contours and features of Joe's face. Every line, every feature was the Joe she knew.

"What if I'm not him?" Joe asked, watching her closely.
