Skylar’s voice was calm. “Like I said before, this is something I can’t help with.”
Vera quickly responded, “Skylar, name your price whatever it is. My grandpa said that as long as you can help solve this, you can ask for anything.”
Skylar took a sip of water, completely unmoved. “Vera, I don’t need money. I won’t involve myself in something so unethical. Tell your grandpa and uncle to really think about what they’ve done. I’m pretty sure you don’t have the full picture yet.”
“I’ve seen some of the videos and photos,” Vera admitted, taking a deep breath.
These family scandals were too disgraceful to even speak about, but they involved the lives of her loved ones. She couldn’t just sit back and do nothing.
