My Formidable Husband

Chapter 70 Black Room

Pierce had initially thought of teaching Christopher a lesson in front of everyone, but he immediately

lost interest after seeing the latter’s appearance. “I can’t really stand the sight of blood, and I don’t feel

like dirtying my hands or the place. Take him into the room instead. Just make sure you don’t end up

killing him,” he said to the bar manager.

“Yes, Mr. Pierce,” the manager answered politely. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Amos had thought of slapping Christopher across the face, but upon hearing that Pierce would deal

something far worse, he thought a few mere slaps would mean nothing at this point.

It’s way more fun if he bleeds! I can’t wait to step on that face of his after they beat him half to death.

With that, the man hurriedly buttered Pierce up. “There’s no one better than you, Pierce! You’re the

greatest of them all.”

Yet, Tyler slapped the former upon hearing that. “That’s enough bullsh*t. If you know who Pierce is,

you’d better not waste his time and make us look bad by bringing in such a loser!”

“Yes, of course! You’re absolutely right,” Amos answered, smiling sheepishly.

Then he turned around and glared at Christopher. “You should’ve known better not to piss me off, punk.

You’re dead now.”

As Lulu gritted her teeth in anger too, the bar manager led Christopher to a tiny room. “Pierce, Tyler,

how about we sit back and enjoy that punk’s screams of pain?” Amos proposed.

“I don’t see why not. Just drinking isn’t any fun anyway. Come join us, Pierce.” People like Tyler were

so unruly that they couldn’t care less about other people’s lives. Pierce responded with a nod. “Sure.

It’s not like I have much else to do.”

Meanwhile, Diane’s expression soured. She had dialed Malcolm’s number twice, only to receive no

response. It was only at her third attempt that the man finally picked up. “Hello, Ms. Reed. My phone

was on silent. Sorry about that. Is something the matter?”

“Your men at Sky Dragon Bar have gotten their hands on my boss. You’d better do something about

this right now if you don’t want to die!” Diane screamed with fury.

Malcolm was stupefied. Is she kidding me? Isn’t her boss the owner of Centurion Corporation? And she

says he’s been taken away by my people?

“I’ll take care of this right away, Ms. Reed. Are there any more details or photos you can provide?”

“I’ll send them to you.” After hanging up, Diane sent Christopher’s name and picture to Malcolm, who

then hastily dialed the bar manager’s number. Yet, the latter was unreachable. A wave of unsettlement

riddled Malcolm as he tried to call his son but to no avail either.

“God d*mmit! Did they take him into the black room?” Malcolm began to panic. The black room was a

place Malcolm Group used to teach anyone who crossed them a lesson.

The man ran down the stairs frantically, hopped into his vehicle, and sped toward Sky Dragon Bar.

Outside the black room at Sky Dragon Bar, Pierce turned to Tyler and the others. “You guys wait here.

I’ll be back after a trip to the restroom.”

“What a shame. I guess you won’t get to hear that punk scream, then,” Tyler remarked with a chuckle.

“It’s not like I’d be missing out.”

To Pierce, a guy like Christopher wasn’t even worth his time.

Speaking of Christopher, he was now inside the dimly-lit black room with Erisa still in his embrace.

Standing before him were the bar manager and eight burly men obviously waiting to deal some

damage.

“Cover your ears and turn around, Erisa,” instructed Christopher as he caressed the girl’s head before

making her clasp her hands over her ears and stand in a corner.

The bar manager flashed a smirk. “You’ll pay for getting on Malcolm Group’s bad side.”

With a wave of his hand, the large men charged toward Christopher. Yet, the latter couldn’t help but

smile as he lunged in the direction they were coming from. It didn’t matter if he had eight opponents; he

would deal with them no differently even if there were over a dozen of them.

These security guards could only consider themselves unlucky for encountering someone like

Christopher.

It took only a minute for every henchman to fall to the ground. They cried out in agony while writhing in

pain.

The bar manager was so terrified that his face paled. Never had he seen someone who could fight this

well. His legs quivered as he saw Christopher walk toward him with Erisa. Eventually, he passed out

from the fear.

Unaware of what was happening inside the room, Amos and Lulu relished the thought of Christopher

getting beaten to a pulp as they heard the screams.
