Chapter 95 Tyler Came Back
Everyone else in the room froze at his words before bursting into laughter. Fabian and his family
thought that Christopher was acting like a dimwit.
“You must’ve lost your mind after being in the military for too long!” Scarlett remarked.
“Yes. We know what you’re made of. Stop acting cool in front of us! You knew Mr. Wheeler left and only
yelled out loud to regain your dignity. What a lowly act!” Fabio snickered.
Douglas shot Christopher a contemptuous glare. I can’t believe he’s bold enough to say that out loud!
“Won’t you shut up? Have you not humiliated us enough?” Cindy huffed. Why did he say that out of
nowhere? He’s giving a chance for Fabian’s family to ridicule us!
Indeed, they all had assumed Christopher wouldn’t know Tyler as he had just retired from being a
soldier.
Fabian snickered icily and responded, “Christopher’s just telling a joke. We’re laughing, so his joke did
work!”
Fabian and his family nodded in agreement and shot Christopher a sarcastic smirk.
Right then, the door to the private room was pushed open again. Those who were ridiculing
Christopher thought that the server was here. They whirled around and jolted in shock at the sight of
Tyler.
Why did he come back? They were stunned by Tyler’s return.
None of them were inclined to believe that Christopher had summoned Tyler over. They assumed it
was just pure coincidence.
“Mr. Wheeler, why did you come back?” Douglas asked politely.
Deep down, Tyler was on the verge of having a breakdown. He didn’t want to come back to Christopher
if he had a choice. He would’ve run away if his legs hadn’t gone all wobbly earlier. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Now that Christopher had summoned him, he had no choice but to come in. Otherwise, his family
would face the consequences of Christopher’s wrath.
Tyler also knew he couldn’t expose Christopher’s identity even if he was to join them in the private
room.
He wanted nothing more than to flee the scene. Alas, he had no choice but to do as Christopher said.
Fabian and his family grew anxious as they were afraid that Tyler would blame them for what
Christopher had done. Offering an appealing smile, Fabian explained, “Mr. Wheeler, that’s Christopher
Yaeger. He has just retired from the military and knows nothing. I’ll teach him a lesson back home for
yelling your name.”
Tyler nearly burst into tears. I’ll be doomed if Christopher gets punished back home!
Suddenly, he slapped his head and said, “Oh, Christopher. Fancy meeting you here! I didn’t see you
just now. If I knew you were here, I wouldn’t have said those words earlier. I’m really sorry for that!”
The Murrays and Douglas were astonished to hear his words.
What is going on?
They had thought that Christopher was acting cool earlier when he had claimed to know Tyler.
Never in their wildest dreams did they know that Christopher and Tyler knew each other for real. Tyler
was even calling Christopher’s name as though they were close friends!
“Uh, Mr. Wheeler, he’s just a retired soldier. Why are you calling his name as though he’s your friend?”
Fabio asked indignantly. He refused to believe his ears.
Tyler was utterly frustrated deep down. Christopher’s my friend? What a joke. Why don’t you ask him if
he wants to be my friend? I’m not even qualified to be his lackey!
Someone as influential as Malcolm had to address Christopher as “Mr. Yaeger” respectfully. Lord
knows how much courage he had had to summon to address Christopher by his first name.
“What was that? Are you questioning me?” Tyler snapped. It was obvious to him that they were
targeting Christopher, so he didn’t bother sparing Fabio’s dignity.
If Christopher wasn’t here, Tyler would’ve ignored the Murrays.
Fear crossed Fabio’s face when he heard Tyler’s reply. Fabian immediately gave his son a tug. Only
then did Tyler flash a smile and said, “Oh, I’m sorry for my previous demands. Let me finish a drink as a
form of apology.”
With that said, he grabbed an empty glass and filled it to the brim before downing it in one gulp.
Everyone stared at him incredulously. Why does it seem that he’s afraid of Christopher?
