My Gentle Wife is a Real Divine Being

Chapter 990

“Opportunity?” Drake scoffed. “I don’t think so.”

He had been played like a fool. The machines made by his company had been shipped without him knowing. It was all a ruse for him to become a scapegoat.

He was determined to settle this, no matter what.

“Get ready, Kale. We’re going to Seamar City.”

“Seamar City?”

“Yes. To settle the score with those sneaky bastards.”

Late that night, Juan returned home ended for a couple of days, the house was now

thick with dust. He flicked on the lights, and a foul odor wafted down from upstairs.

Covering his nose and mouth, he ascended the stairs. As he opened the master bedroom door, a putrid stench hit him like a wall. His eyes flashed with disgust as he took in the scene before him.

On the bed lay Shelia, emaciated and barely recognizable. Her hair was dry and yellowed, her body skeletal, and her eyes sunken deep into their sockets. Her lips were cracked, and her body reeked of decay.

“Help me,” she rasped, each word an effort.

“Still alive?” Juan sneered.

He had left Shelia with just a bowl of oatmeal and half a cup of water. Yet, she had survived, likely driven by a desperate will to live.

“Why?” Shelia’s mind was fractured.

She had dreamt of a different life. She became a shining star after she returned from her overseas studies. Even though she was not his wife, she gained Juan’s favor and defeated novelbin

Debra.

She became the CEO of the Nichols Group and Juan’s best partner. In the end, she even managed to kill Debra and her unborn child.

Even Melody was nice to her, promising that she would become Mrs. Nichols.

But reality was a cruel awakening. She couldn’t believe it was just a dream.

Juan looked at her with cold indifference. “You’re of no use to me anymore. It’s time for you to go.

“No, please.” Shelia’s eyes widened in terror.

She didn’t want to die, not like this. But Juan simply took out his gun and pulled the trigger.

The bullet went through her skull, and her body went still. In her final moments, memories of her past life flooded her mind. She had been the hostess of the Nichols family and the

winner.

But then was her ultimate downfall. Juan had taken everything from Her and stabbed her to death.

Outside, Juan looked at the house that was once Debra’s and his home.

He doused the entire villa with gasoline, lit a cigarette, and tossed the lighter onto the grass. Flames rose and engulfed everything.
