Chapter 459
Bradley narrowed his brows angrily. He grabbed a security guard’s arm and menacingly demanded,
“What are you talking about?”
“Mr. Warner, your son’s life is at stake, and you’re here getting angry with us?”
“You’ve driven a young lady to the point of jumping into the sea to prove her innocence.”
“Your own son would rather jump out of a car than leave with you! It’s evident how much of a failure you
are as a person…”
Bradley’s mind went blank. He looked at the security guards around him, and then his gaze fell on the
pool of blood on the ground. Suddenly, he pushed the security guards aside and staggered to his
sports car.
He opened the car door and pressed the gas pedal, but all he saw was a pool of red blood. His legs
shook with fear.
He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and pressed the accelerator. The car’s engine roared in the
underground garage.
The security guards watched as Bradley drove his fancy sports car and exchanged hushed whispers.
“How can there be such a man in this world?”
“He probably doesn’t consider us regular people as human beings because he’s rich.”
“It’s truly Ms. Quill’s misfortune to meet someone like him.”
“Get real. How much is your monthly salary? And you’re concerned about a woman living in a luxury Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
mansion?”
A loud crash reverberated through the garage while the security guards gossiped about Bradley.
Bradley had rammed his car into the wall, creating a thunderous noise.
He got out of the smoking car, paying no attention to the valuable vehicle, and ran toward the exit.
This abrupt twist of events thrust added responsibilities upon the security guards. This was no ordinary
matter-a priceless sports car was involved. The guards hesitated to even touch it. They had to contact
property management and the insurance company for guidance.
As Bradley exited the garage, he stood by the roadside to wait for a ride. The traffic during rush hour
had transformed the three-lane road into a snail-paced stream of vehicles.
After a futile wait for a ride, Bradley noticed electric bicycles available for rent by the roadside. Worrying
about Felix’s condition, he unlocked a bicycle using a ride-sharing app and pedaled.
He was aware of the ambulance’s destination and steered the bicycle in that direction.
Despite the rush hour frenzy, the drivers on the road cleared a path for the ambulance carrying Esther.
“Mommy, don’t cry.” Felix comforted Esther, seeing her constant tears, “I’m not in pain.”
Esther held onto Felix’s hand tightly and said seriously, “Felix is really brave.”
“Because I’m Mommy’s son!”
Felix’s voice was so soft that Esther could hear the tremor and fear in his tone.
“You’re like me, super brave, right?”
Felix replied affectionately, “Yes!”
Esther’s heart was knotted in pain. She regretted not having the power of foresight. If she did, she
would not have let Felix witness the argument between her and Bradley. No! If she had the power of
foresight, she would never have allowed Bradley to take Felix away.
