My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 502

Chapter 502

During the trial, Clark’s testimony in support of Esther completely changed the course of the courtroom

proceedings.

“Esther didn’t offer me anything,” Clark replied honestly.

Bradley closed his eyes tightly and took a deep breath to control his anger. He clenched his teeth but

managed to ask, “Then why did you testify in favor of Esther?”

“Bradley, I’m not a god. I’m just an ordinary person.” Clark gazed calmly at Bradley, his tone gentle but

firm. “You’ve mentioned that Esther betrayed you and caused pain to Mr. Warner. These are your

reasons. But are they truly your own?”

Sitting across from Bradley, Clark thought about the late Thomas before speaking softly.”If your

grandfather could see you treating Esther like this, it would break his heart.

“You accuse Esther of offering me incentives. Maybe the only thing she offered me is the chance to be

part of Felix’s life as he grows up. Perhaps that’s the ‘benefit’ she provided.

“Starting today, I won’t involve myself in Warner Manor’s affairs.”

Clark rose slowly and placed a key on the table. His expression remained calm as he addressed the

puzzled Bradley, “Bradley, this is the key to the storage room.’

“Why are you giving me this key?”

Clark replied, “When Esther was incarcerated, you asked me to dispose of her belongings. Instead, I

stored everything in the storage room.”

Thomas’ deepest desire before his passing was for Bradley and Esther to find happiness together. That

was why he had entrusted a significant portion of his shares to Esther and Bradley’s child in his will.

Bradley was the child Clark had cared for as he grew up. He couldn’t bear to see him make one

mistake after another. “Bradley, you owe Esther an apology.”

If it weren’t for Bradley’s insistence and relentless pursuit of Esther, perhaps she wouldn’t have spent

five years behind bars for a crime she never admitted to committing.

“Five years ago, you sent the woman carrying your children to prison, causing her to lose the most

precious years of her youth. You at least owe her a sincere apology and should ask for her

forgiveness.

“Esther may not choose to forgive you, but you are the one who was at fault. You should be the one

who should apologize.

“I will stay with Felix in the future. If you wish to see him, reach out to me. I believe in Esther’s

compassion. She won’t deny you a chance to meet Felix.”

With those words, Clark exited the room, maintaining his calm composure.

Five years ago,

Esther had consistently been denying any involvement in tampering with Thomas’s oxygen mask. She

had tirelessly been trying to reveal the truth to the world, to clear her name.

However, she had found herself isolated and helpless, her efforts falling on deaf ears, with no

one believing her.

Bradley fixed his gaze on the key on the table, his slender fingers reaching out to grasp it. He stood in

thought momentarily before taking slow steps toward the storage room door.

The storage room, located in the farthest corner of Warner Manor, rarely had visitors. Bradley had been

unaware that Clark had defied his order five years ago by safeguarding all of Esther’s belongings in

Warner Manor.

Bradley faced the old door, about to use his key. But suddenly, he pulled his hand back and swiftly left

the storage room as if escaping from a terrifying creature.

Upon his return to the living room, a few servants were surprised at Bradley’s swift return and were

whispering amongst themselves.

“It appears Madam wasn’t responsible for disconnecting Mr. Warner Sr.’s oxygen mask after all!”

“So, the real culprit was Liliane! I always had a bad feeling about her. Turns out she’s a deceitful snake

in human form.”

“Mr. Searle has had feelings for Madam for years. Now that Mr. Warner is divorcing her, will Mr. Searle

pursue her?”

“Wait, look over there! Madam is holding roses, and Mr. Searle is kneeling on one knee! It’s a C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
