Chapter 524
Chapter 524
Bradley furiously hurled the phone to the ground.
“Bradley, don’t vent your anger on my phone!” Kevin stared at the shattered screen. Despite being
wealthy enough to replace 10 or even 20 phones, the loss was irksome due to the data stored in it.
“Who’s angry?” Bradley sneered. “Do you think I’d get worked up over that woman? Is she even worth
it?”
Kevin tightened his grip on the phone as he tried to reason with Bradley.
“Bradley, don’t call Esther that. After all, she’s Felix’s mother.”
Bradley gritted his teeth, his eyes radiating intense hostility. “I wish she wasn’t.”
Kevin sighed helplessly, took a seat on an adjacent sofa, and spoke calmly. “Bradley, it’s a fact. She’s NôvelDrama.Org © content.
Felix and your daughters’ mother…”
“Kevin, if you’re here to defend Esther, you can leave!”
“I’m the hospital director. Where can I go?” Kevin didn’t want to argue much, given Bradley’s patient
status. “Bradley, I intended to keep your condition from you, but as the person involved, you have the
right to know.”
“Go on,” Bradley said, seemingly indifferent to his illness.
Kevin took a deep breath and struggled to utter the four words.
“You have liver cancer…” He fought to say the last two words. “Advanced stage.”
Upon hearing that, Bradley immediately yanked the IV needle from his hand, and blood dripped to the
floor like tears.
Kevin stood up in shock, exclaiming, “Bradley, what are you doing?”
“Discharge me.”
“No.” Kevin grabbed Bradley and said from a doctor’s perspective, “Given your condition, you can’t
leave the hospital. You need treatment.”
Bradley used his bloody hand to push Kevin away, staining his white coat. “Stay in the hospital? What’s
the point? Death is inevitable!”
Bradley’s malevolent eyes glimmered. Even if he died, he wanted to bring Esther down with him.
“Bradley!” Kevin ignored Bradley’s anger and blocked his path, trying to explain despite his fatigue,
“Though your liver cancer is advanced, it hasn’t spread. You can undergo a liver transplant. It’s not a
major surgery, and there shouldn’t be any issues. Trust me!”
“A transplant? You want another person’s organ inside me?” Bradley, always arrogant, couldn’t accept
this idea.
“The liver can regenerate,” Kevin explained with a deep breath. “This isn’t a major surgery…”
Bradley looked down at Kevin, sneering. “Whose liver are you going to use?”
Kevin hesitantly replied, “Our hospital staff and I have checked for matches. Among hundreds of us,
we’ll surely find one. If not, we’ll keep looking. The liver is different from a kidney.”
Bradley boldly declared, “Kevin, I’m not afraid of death.”
“Yes, you may not fear death, but have you thought about Felix? If you die, do you want him to take
over the Warner Group at his age? Remember how challenging it was for you when you took over the
company? And you haven’t even found your twin daughters with Esther yet. Are you content to leave
like this?”
Bradley glared at Kevin coldly and left the room, his determination unwavering-
Kevin relentlessly followed him, his gaze fixed on the blood on Bradley’s fingertips. He pleaded
earnestly, “Bradley, under normal circumstances, finding a relative for a liver transplant is easier. How
about we ask Felix-”
Bradley grabbed Kevin’s neck with his bloody hand, his gaze filled with hostility. “Touch him and see
what happens!”
