Chapter 600
Chapter 600
Mandy walked over to Esther and Jasper and said, “I’ve decided to go along with your plan. The doctor
says my mother’s in critical condition. After thinking it over, I can’t let her pass away under someone
else’s control.
“Mrs. Warner, I’ve agreed to donate my liver. In exchange, I’d like Mr. Warner to act as my pretend
fiance and you to play Chadwick’s fiancee. This is the biggest compromise I can offer.
“If you can do it, we’ll proceed with your plan. If not, please don’t bother finding me. I need to care for
my mom, and I don’t have time for this.”
After voicing her conditions, Mandy returned to the ward without waiting for a response from Jasper
and
Esther.
Jasper turned to Esther and asked softly, “Esther, can you persuade Bradley?”
Esther shook her head.
“Then, let me handle this. I’ll try to convince him.”
Esther became anxious upon hearing Jasper’s decision. Remembering Bradley’s erratic behavior
yesterday, she warned, “Jasper, no! You might make him angry.”
“Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing. Let’s go.”
When Jasper and Esther entered Bradley’s ward, Bradley’s eyes filled with anger. “Esther! Quill!”
Bradley quickly moved toward Esther, his hand reaching out menacingly.
Jasper stepped between them, firmly saying, “Warner, save your anger for later. I have something
important to discuss with you. Esther, Kevin, please leave the room.”
Worry appeared in Esther’s eyes as she glanced at Jasper, who reassured her with a look, signaling
that he could handle it.
Once Kevin and Esther left, Bradley clenched his fist and aimed it at Jasper’s face.
Jasper neither dodged nor retreated. Instead, he firmly caught Bradley’s arm. “Warner, you have liver
cancer, yet you’re filled with so much aggression?”
Bradley hissed through gritted teeth. “Jasper, I’m not dead yet, and you’re already eyeing my woman…
“Warner!” Jasper let go of Bradley’s arm, moved aside, and settled on a nearby sofa. “I understand.
You’re jealous because of me and Esther. You even had Esther block me. I get that, too. But don’t
make things hard for her. She knelt to Mandy for your sake.”
Bradley’s eyes turned icy. “Jasper, if you have a shred of compassion-”
Cutting him off, Jasper declared icily, “If I didn’t care about Esther losing her appetite and sleep
because of you, I wouldn’t be sitting here now.
“Bradley, if you had a shred of humanity left, you’d know that none of this is about you. Mandy’s mother Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
is seriously ill and wants to meet her future son-in-law before she passes.
“I don’t see an issue in you taking on that role for her liver. Otherwise, why would she even consider
letting her daughter donate her liver to you? Would you let Felix donate his liver to a stranger when he
grows up?”
“I don’t need it!” Bradley roared.
Jasper responded with biting sarcasm. “Warner, if you truly don’t want Mandy’s liver, then perhaps you
should just die now and spare Esther the heartache.”
Bradley’s handsome face darkened, and every word he uttered was laced with an unspoken threat.”
Jasper, mark my words. Even if I die, I’ll take Esther down with me.”
Bradley considered Esther as his own, and Jasper had no right to lay a finger on her.
