My Mirror Image by Maybe Not (Candice And Alex’s)

Chapter 0360

Chapter 0360

Alex was sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed, resting. When he heard footsteps, he opened his eyes.

Candice looked at him, and frowned.

Alex's face was pale, and there was no color on his lips. His hand was placed on his stomach, appearing to be very uncomfortable. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Candice realized that Alex had drunk too much the night before, and today he probably had not recovered yet. Moreover, he had drunk with Solomon again, and on an empty stomach. It would be strange if he did not feel uncomfortable.

She looked at the cup in front of Alex, reached out to touch it, and found that it was already cold.

She put down the folder she was carrying and picked up the cup to refill it with warm water, which she placed in front of Alex.

Alex had been looking at Candice since she entered the room. He glanced at the folder on the coffee table in front of Candice and asked slowly, "Anything the matter?"

Hearing the barely concealed tension in his tone, Candice said, "Sawyer has gone to buy medicine for you. I'll leave when he comes back."

Alex acknowledged with a grunt and didn’t say anything else. He only glanced at Candice again before looking away and closing his eyes to rest.

Judging from the unpleasant expression on his face, it seemed that his stomach ache was quite severe. Candice sat quietly opposite him, without saying a word.

Alex's stomach problems were a longstanding issue from before, and he could only take medicine to alleviate the symptoms.

However, Sawyer had been gone for quite a while. It had been twenty minutes and he still had not returned. Candice wanted to tell Alex that she would go downstairs first, but when she looked over she found that Alex had fallen asleep with his eyes closed.

There was a thin layer of sweat on his forehead, he was frowning, but his long eyelashes drooped down, forming a dense arc. His breathing was calm and shallow. Candice looked at his face and saw a faint shadow under his eyes.

Since Aether's incident, Alex had been busy all the time. Even though Candice did not pay much attention to him, she could still occasionally hear a few words from Kayla about him.

She stood in place for a moment before turning to leave. However, after closing the door, she still called Sawyer. He said he was already at the hotel entrance.

Candice did not bother about it anymore and went downstairs.

The summit went on for another four days straight, and Alex did not attend the last few days. Candice had not seen him in the hotel either.

Angela approached overtly and covertly asking, "What's your relationship with Darius?"

"We have no relationship," Candice said.

Angela did not believe her. "It's impossible to have no relationship. If there's no relationship, then that night at the bar, Darius wouldn't have gone to talk to you alone. Everyone knows, Darius is the least interested in women."

Candice paused. "You know Darius came to seek me out that day?"

"Yeah, Blake left to go to the bathroom and saw Darius talking to you in the corridor, then came back to ask what your relationship was." Angela grabbed Candice's hand and acted coquettishly. "Oh, beauty, just tell me. Otherwise, my little Ella will be sad again. You don't know how much she likes Darius."

Candice felt uncomfortable being shaken by Angela and could only say, "I don't know him. It was just for something else."

"For what?"

Candice did not respond further. Instead, she caught onto another key point in Angela's words. Someone had seen her talking to Darius that night— And then Alex happened to show up. Candice lowered her eyes, pursed her lips, wondering what Alex meant by that.
