They returned to the hotel in silence. The matter on Jensen's side could be considered a success. The outcome was not something they could control anyway, so Candice felt a sigh of relief in her heart.

She nodded, opened the door, got out of the car, and saw Alex coming out of the hotel.

He stopped by the car, handed the documents to Sawyer, and casually asked her, "You’re awake then?"

"Why didn't you wake me when we arrived?" she asked him.

"What about Sonia?" she asked.

If Quil's actions were related to Yvonne, then Sonia was definitely not innocent.

But Alex paused when he heard the name Sonia before saying, "She didn't go."

Candice completely lost her appetite for the meal.

She got up to leave, but she saw Alex push the bowl of soup in front of her again and firmly reminded her, "Eat a little more."
