Chapter 94 Take Her Home
Byron ignored Baxter and walked to her.
He stretched his hand to put her hanging hair on the back. “I’m here to pick you up.”
His tone was very soft, and there was no anger on his face.
But Athena felt he was going to explode anytime.

She didn’t know what to say.
Byron looked up at her with no emotions in his eyes, making her feel he was more dangerous than any
time before.
“They will send Miss Cross home safely,” he said coldly, “If you don’t want her to go home, how about I
throw her into the sea?”
“No!”
Athena shook her head in horror.
She knew Byron was not joking.
“Miss Newton, don’t worry. We promise to send Miss Cross home safely. We won’t do anything to her,”
one of the bodyguards said respectfully.
Athena had–known the two bodyguards for several years and believed they wouldn’t hurt Evie.
“Evie, I have something to deal with. They are my friends. I’ll ask them to send you home.” Athena tried
not to let her voice tremble.
Evie nodded in a daze.
She would only pester Athena when Athena was free.
But if Athena was busy, she wouldn’t disturb her.
Byron stretched out his hand and hung in the air without holding Athena’s hand.
Athena took a look and stretched out her hand to hold him.
Byron held her hand tightly the next moment.

Holding her hand, he strode towards the car on the side of the road.
Evie stood there, swaying and tilting her head to look at Byron
and Athena.
“Hey, is Byron holding Athena’s hand?” she muttered.
She stumbled and wanted to chase after them.
The bodyguard stopped her. “Miss Cross, you made a mistake!”
When Evie looked over again, Byron’s car had been away.
She thought, “Did I make a mistake?
Of course, I did.
Byron is about to get married. How could Athena hold his hand?
She hates mistresses the most!”
Before getting in the car, Evie suddenly remembered Baxter was
still there.
She turned around and waved at Baxter. “Baxter, I’m leaving!”
Baxter seemed to be frozen and didn’t say a word.
What Byron said had been haunting his mind.
“You still didn’t learn the lesson after many years. It’s really disappointing.”
His mocking words crushed Baxter’s pride.
In fact, after breaking up with Athena, Baxter learned from others that Romy was seriously ill.
Only then did he know Athena was forced to be with Byron.
As he often came to her, it provoked Byron and caused her a lot of trouble.
Baxter knew he was wrong.
He had thought about making up to her and looked for close people who studied medicine everywhere,
hoping to help Romy.
But when he finally found someone to help, Byron had already invited the best international medical
team to treat Romy.
It was a big blow to Baxter’s pride.
After being depressed for more than half a year, he went abroad.
But Athena was like a thorn in his heart. He couldn’t get it out, which got deeper and stabbed him from time to time.
When he learned Byron was about to get married, he came back immediately.
Baxter probably had heard about Athena’s background from Evie, and he knew Athena hated mistress
the most.
So he was sure Athena would break up with Byron even if she hadn’t left Byron yet.
He didn’t mind Athena’s past, only hoping to make up for her
and reconcile with her.
But he didn’t expect it would be so awkward when they met again.
