Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 133 – The Duel Between Nigel and Nathaniel

Deanna was in so much pain that she knelt on the ground, crying and screaming.

“How is it? Are you alright?” Nigel asked as he looked down at Janet.

Janet shook her head.

However, Nigel would not let Deanna off just because Janet didn’t suffer any injuries.

Nigel no longer smiled charmingly as ever. His beautiful eyes revealed a bit of coldness. He sneered

and looked down at

Deanna.

“Ms. Roth, you slander Ms. Longfellow. It is a crime. The crowd witnessed it. Since you don’t know how

to talk, go to the police station to learn how to behave!”

As soon as Nigel finished speaking, the bodyguards behind him went over and dragged Deanna, who

was lying on the ground. They twisted Deanna’s hands behind her back and prepared to send her to

the police station.

But Deanna lay on the ground, unwilling to get up.

She was the chief editor of a magazine. If she was sent to the police station, that would be laughed at.

Anyway, Deanna was thoroughly discredited today, so she didn’t care if she went a little further.

However, Deanna underestimated Nigel’s determination to send her to the police station. Under his

orders, the bodyguards dragged Deanna away with an expressionless face, as if she were a dead dog.

Deanna’s screams went farther and farther until they could no longer be heard.

This farce stunned everyone, and it took a long time for them to come back to their senses.

The other two organizers immediately came out to ease the atmosphere, while Nigel maintained the

posture of protecting

Janet as he walked up to them. It seemed that the crowd was watching them get married, so Nathaniel

couldn’t help but clench

his fists.

Nigel was still holding Janet.

Nathaniel wondered, can’t they stop?

Nigel returned to his smiling face and apologized to the guests. “We failed to sift guests and let the mad

woman into the venue. We are sorry for disturbing everyone, especially Ms. Longfellow.”

When Nigel said this, he looked down at Janet with a smile in his eyes.

The crowd said that it didn’t matter cooperatively.

Only then did Janet realize that their current posture was a little romantic. She looked sideways and

whispered, “Alright, I’m fine. You can let me go now.”

Nigel didn’t listen to Janet. He gave her a sly smile and whispered in her ear, “Don’t. Your ex-husband

is watching, so let me show off, okay?”

Janet looked over and met Nathaniel’s line of sight. He seemed to be annoyed. His thin lips were

pursed tightly, and the corners of his lips were slightly lowered. This was his habit when he was

unhappy.

It was ironic. They had nothing to do with him, but Janet remembered some of his habits and details.

Janet smiled bitterly. She was disappointed in herself.

Therefore, when Janet met Nathaniel’s gaze again, she didn’t avoid it. Instead, she just looked into his

eye. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Janet didn’t do anything wrong. She was not guilty.

Why should she hide?

Nathaniel’s face darkened.

Nigel laughed, and he declared in a domineering manner, “Everyone, Ms. Roth probably has a ment*l

problem. We will send her to the psychiatric department based on humanitarianism. Don’t believe her

crazy statement!

“I hope today’s disturbance will only stop at the venue. Ms. Longfellow is my best friend. If any rumor of

her gets out, I will pursue it to the end!”

These words were domineering, and Nigel made himself clear.

He meant that no one could bully Janet.

The guests present were all smart people. How could they not understand this? Janet was someone

that Nigel and even the entire Wheeler family would protect. Whoever dared to create a rumor would

be opposing them!

As for Nathaniel…

How ruthless he was towards Deanna just now! No one believed that Nathaniel hated his ex-wife. It

was a peaceful divorce, and Nathaniel was protective of Janet, his ex-wife!

With the two big shots protecting Janet, the crowd did not dare to start a rumor. They didn’t want to die.

It was just that…

Why did it feel like a duel between Janet’s ex-husband and her present boyfriend?
