I looked out from the window. I could clearly see from afar that Irvin had his hair brushed neatly. He was well-dressed, looking forward to it for what was to come.

Before getting out of the car, I rolled down the window to let Irvin get a clear view of my face. Then, I rolled up the window, picked up the veil, and turned to look at the woman behind me.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

Shirley was nervously fidgeting the whole way. She had only realized we had reached the church when she heard my voice and looked out the window. She saw Irvin and Evan approaching, and her breath quickened.
