My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2207

Chapter 2207

Without waiting for Hendrix's response, he turned around, looked straight ahead, and said to himself with a smile, "You should remember everything by now, hahaha..."This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

He then took Naomi's arm and left our house.

He was the one who had caused this disturbance. He had stirred up trouble and then left the scene after witnessing the commotion. We couldn't do anything to him except grit our teeth in hatred.

When I turned around, Hendrix still looked upset. He looked like he was going to lose control very soon.

Was there a need to go that far? He had become so agitated from the things Andrea said to him. People who didn't know the truth would think that they were still in love with each other.

I sighed, looked away and caught a glimpse of the two black figures still in the dining room. In a situation like that, it would be unreasonable of them to act as though nothing had happened and to continue being a nuisance in someone else's house.

Since the children were out of their reach, I dragged Hendrix upstairs and ignored them. It was up to them whether they wanted to leave or not.

I brought Hendrix over to the sofa. I then sat on the coffee table, like a police officer interrogating a prisoner with a stern look.

Hendrix stared at me and made eye contact with me at first. But then he gradually lowered his gaze and felt uneasy.

I was confident that he was still hiding something from me. On top of that, it was about Andrea.

"Tell me everything." I was very calm. After having gone through so much in my life, there weren't many things that would surprise me anymore. Hendrix was playing dumb. "What did you say?"

"The secret you've been hiding deep inside your heart." I reached out and poked at his chest, smiling wryly as I tried to ease the tension, "I can tell that something must have happened between you, Agustin and Andrea. It's something that I don't know about. Tell me everything. You'll be forgiven if you tell me everything, but if you hide anything from me, you're going to be punished!"

Hendrix relented. He looked up at me as if to prove his innocence by explaining, "You've already heard all of it. It was as you've said, Agustin intended to violate you, but failed to do so. I got mad because Andrea slandered you in front of our

children."

He knew how to take advantage of the situation. He concocted a great excuse for himself.

"Is that all? You're not lying to me?"

"That's all," Hendrix nodded confidently.

I got up and circled around him. "Why can't I bring myself to trust you?"

Even though Andrea did have a nasty mouth, that didn't mean that the things she said earned her a death sentence. Also, based on how he reacted, it seemed much more than just anger.

It seemed like he had flown in a rage out of embarrassment.

Why was this the case?

As I stared at Hendrix, I got lost in my thoughts for quite some time. I had to admit, he was a really capable man. He was so capable that he could hide almost anything from me.

"Alright then, I trust you." If I pretended to let this matter go, he would then lower his guard, opening up more opportunities for me to find out the truth. I turned out to be right.

After the fireworks show at midnight, I accompanied the children to set off some fireworks by myself. Hendrix had hidden himself away and made some calls.

He thought he had fooled me. What

he didn't know, was that I had already convinced Minnie to keep an eye on him by telling her that she

would be "stopping Hendrix frommet

having an affair which would ruin our family". Minnie was very popular in the household, so long as Hendrix was at home, I would know

everything he was up to.

After knowing that Hendrix was going to do something behind my back, I kept a close eye on him the very next day. I made up an excuse to drop by the club to meet up with Anne, when I actually secretly ordered a taxi and waited for Hendrix to leave the house by the side road.

The driver was a middle-aged honest-looking man, but was also quite the chatterbox.

"Miss, are you waiting for someone? Do you want to call them to tell them to hurry up?"

"Based on the way you keep looking around, are you checking to see if your husband is having an affair?"

I found his observation to be

interesting and rather amusing, so I chuckled and played along, trying to appear pitiful as I mumbled, "Yes, gave birth to a pair of twins for him. Now that the children are all grown up, be's been slowly losing interest ime and has started having an affair..."

As I said this, I covered my face and pretended to sob. My eyes were, however, fixed in the direction of the mansion out of fear of missing his car. "Well, take it easy. Men are all the same. For the sake of the children, you'll have to stay strong..."

While talking, the driver pulled out a piece of tissue paper from the tissue box and handed it to me. "Wipe away your tears. Looks like you don't have it easy either..."

Just then, Hendrix's car whizzed past us.

"That's him. Keep up with him!"

The tissue paper box fell onto the car seat as the driver was stunned from my reaction. "Chase after him? Are you kidding me? Lady, that's a sports car!"
