Chapter 285

The mirror shattered, and his hand got several long cuts. When blood gushed out, he turned around

and went out.

...

Kenneth didn't leave but stayed in the president's office. He sat on the black leather chair and began to

smoke. The smoke hung in the air and blurred his handsome face with a deep frown. When the scarlet

ash fell, it was full of gloom.

Suddenly, there was a shout from the lounge.

Kenneth was startled, quickly threw the cigarette between his fingers into the ashtray, strode over with

his long legs, and pushed open the door, asking, "What's wrong?"

Arabella had stopped crying, but her eyes and nose were still red, and tears were still hanging on her

slender eyelashes. After fixing her clothes, she jumped off the sink. But her limbs were numb because

she had not moved for a long time. Therefore, she almost fell when her feet landed on the ground.

Raising her eyes to glance at the man at the door, she asked in a muffled voice, "Why didn't you

leave?"

Kenneth had not expected her to be willing to talk to him because he thought she hated him now.

He hoarsely replied, "You are here, so I don't want or dare to leave. I feel more at ease to guard here

because I am afraid you will leave me forever if I leave now."

Hearing this, Arabella snorted. Suddenly, she had a blackout. When her thin body fell toward the

carpet, Kenneth widened his eyes in shock, stretched out his long arms to pull her into his arms, and

shouted, "Arabella, are you OK?"

When she opened her eyes, she saw his handsome face close at hand. Now, his eyes were full of

nervousness, worry, and deep self-blame.

"I told you I'm not feeling well! But you don't believe me!"

She put the wounded finger in front of his eyes and added, "I accidentally cut my finger at the research

institute and bled a lot, so I felt dizzy. And you happened to see Tyrone reach out to support me! Mr.

Lucero, can you trust me now?"

Kenneth looked at her pale face. He should have long noticed she was not feeling well. But he had

been so jealous that he had not realized she was injured until now. After bringing her back, he even

tortured her severely.

"I believe you!"

Kenneth took her little hand and kissed it heavily, saying, "I'm sorry. I don't know why I always act like

this. I hate myself."

Looking at his red eyes, Arabella wrapped her arms around his neck and said, "I'm still dizzy. Carry me

onto the bed. I'll be fine after a rest."

Kenneth quickly picked her up and put her on the soft big bed. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

He took out the medicine box, knelt on one knee beside the bed, and treated the wound on her finger.

He lowered his eyes when carefully and gently dealing with the wound for fear of hurting her. Then, he

applied medicine to her wrists, carefully and lovingly treating the places where he had left red marks.

After finishing applying for the medicine, he put the medicine box back, got up, picked up a broom, and

began to clean up the mess all over the floor.

Looking at him, Arabella found wounds on his big hand that hadn't been treated. Fortunately, the blood

had clotted. Soon, he squatted down, picked up the discarded pill, silently put it in his mouth, and

swallowed it.

Arabella suddenly felt heartbroken as if a big hand was squeezing her heart.
